what people dont understand about F1 is that these cars need to be pushed to the limit for them to work. you cant go slow or the tires wont grip, you have to go as fast as the car can go for everything to work properly. also this is a very difficult course so it would take someone who knew the track perfectly to really take an F1 car all the way around
@Kaisertamas yes... i know, i've never said that this was a full throtle lap ...just said with a V10 engine and Fernando Alonso at full throtle in an R-25 f1 car, theoretically could make a lap under "5:10" seconds
@h6o6p6e Maybe he did now know the curcuit, Nurgburgring is very dangerous. The whole curcuit is tricky with bumps and sneaky corners when going full speed.
@MRjesseNL Umm he did do the entire track from start to almost finish. He started at the pit and ended there. so @h6o6p6e no I have no idea why he didnt do it because he did do the entire track.
@h6o6p6e they set the car up with maximum ride hight and long gearing and stiffer tyres and looks like no camber cad cuz of the bumbs and small jumps on track it damage suspension and chassis
@h6o6p6e the hp of this F1 was limited , F1 can beat any other car in a race track by 1-2+ minutes on this track. He wasn't really driving the car on its limit.
I don't think it was the HP, i think it was the gear ratio's were very low, or something like that. Plus i know he was on demo tires and he was told to drive slow on certain sections for photographers. The team said after the lap that if the car was set up properly and he had some practice on the track he would have gotten somewhere under five and a half minutes easily.

This guy can drive better than I ever could, but he really doesn't seem comfortable on that track at all.

a Renault R-25 F1 with slick tyres and Fernando alonso as a driver, at Ful power could probably make a lap under the 5:10 seconds

@nicolaz1357 This is not full throtle lap .

@h6o6p6e this track isnt exactly the best for an F1 car. It would be stupid to go all the way

@h6o6p6e probably because it's too dangerous for F1 cars because it is so bumpy. it would be amazing seeing him go all out though :(
