I remember doing the same training like the one shown after the 4th minute......its death! You train for 2 minutes and then you need 20 minutes to get your breathe back...lol
i'm starting to learn this but im just new to this sport.. i can't even do the forehand stroke do you have a video how to do the fore hand stroke... my coach was so strict i'm just getting nervous and sweating everytime i had training but i couldn't just do it... could you pls help me...
one tip you dont need to bring your hand back so far after each shot keep it short and quick also, dont bring your hand out too far after hitting the ball. bringing your hand back like that is unnecessary as you are meant to be working on your technique with an exercise as such, not how much power you can exert on the ball, keep it short and snappy
@pbsmick i think it's more important to practice using less arm power. most players these days go for a compact shot. sure it does reduce the time required but if you see ma long, if he has time, he has a big swing. they're still stronger.
try higher frequency for feeding. it'll give you an idea of how hard you want to hit. if you can't keep up, it means either need to shorten backswing like decoyla says, or use less arm power.
@17teacmrocks see 3:16 the way your coach is hitting. not too much power, but still fast enough to break through your rhythm.
you missed because you were moving back as the ball already arrived. should be rotating into it from the hip, body weight angled forward, and use a relaxed arm to catch your body momentum spinning forward, then just return. everything spins from the core.
if you rely on arm, you can beat ppl only slower or same rhythm and all else same level
@nike1717 and a decent trainer is also watching the person who is doing the topspin so he can tell him what he has to change, so the blocker has less concentration. I practice alot with youth players and when im watching them topspin and at the same time I have to concentrate on my block, of course you will miss or missplace some balls, its perfectly normal. He is a good blocker.
If I can give you just a little advice, you are playing very good and all that but when you do that exercice, backhand and forehand, dont try to switch your bat in your hand, try to keep the same grip. If you are playing on a higher level, the ball goes faster and you dont have the time to change your grip. You can do with this advice whatever you want. Ur a good player btw
@kaikaz You dont know anything about tabletennis! I´m from Stckholm, Sweden, and i have practise with Jan Ove Waldner about 10 times, (we play in the same club)... He change his grip all the time! From forhand to backhand.. And he is World and Olympic champion!! So change grip so much you can, it will make your strokes even better!! / Adam

@adaolo002 well try to play topspin backhand and topspin forehand at a decent speed, you will see you dont have the time to change, you can change your grip maybe a little but not too much.
@kaikaz you will have time to change! absolutely!! no dooubt ! J-O Waldner change his grip alot from forehand to backhand TOPSPIN! And he play on a faster and higher lever then you will ever dream of!!
@adaolo002 Did I say I'm playing on that high level like him? Obviously you dont train much people or didnt follow any trainer courses, where you learn you can improve people by just changing a little thing. I told you, you can change your grip a little bit, but not so much like him. Thats my opinion and I ve asked serveral trainers in my club and they all have the same opinions. We must be all bad coaches then I guess...

table tennis is very neat and tidy game, so many balls at training make it look Chaotic just keep one ball...

@nike1717 Are you serious????
pbsmick 1 year ago
@pbsmick yes because the blocker, has not even moved the whole video.
Look at the professionals to whom they recorded the move at every touch of the ball
how he may please the ball back with a quality play whenever he get there than anywhere else always point to the same?
sorry for the bad english
It is translated by google translated
