Please, dear God, tell me the dog was not doing a bark and guard. If you send a dog in for an apprehension then it is to be made. If you are at a point of deployment then the situation has been assessed and a K-9 deployment is needed. Forget the no weapon no bite nonsense. That is simply not real world applicable. There is such a difference between training and the real world in the real workd of K-9 that words can't do it justice.
Don't forget that most of these dogs are imported from North Eastern Europe (i.e. Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands), and they have different K-9 policies than we do here. Bark and Guard usually isn't used in Californian PDs, and so the dogs are usually broken to retrain some of their previous indocrinations.
I plan on joining the K-9 Corp of the Police Department within the next few years. This is why. I'd love the action and idea of bringing criminals down. The only difference is instead of a German Shepherd for a partner I'd like to have an Utonagan. I'm looking into sources that some police officers train their dogs privately to see if I can do that. If I provided the money to get my dog trained then I'd have full ownership of the dog giving me the full right to choose the breed for my partner.
its the theme from beverly hills cop and is just called the Axel Foley theme (Axel foley bein lead character in Beverly hills cop) u probably know that tho
the reason the dog didnt bite is because there was NO weapon no weapon no bite its a peace of piss to get a dog to bite getting it to let go he he thats the hard bit!!!! the worst thing for a retired working dog is to watch the handler go to work n get left at home cool vid by the way 6/10
Crappy Dog... At the end of the track didnt bite... SHe should have bitten the man...only barking would get dog shot...also any other Police Dog would have jumped that wooden fence... Poor training!
That dog is absolutely amazing!!!! I hope this is the film dedicated to the police dogs who did so much for the LAPD... I also hope retired police dogs are as much appreciated for doing the job they were trained to do. Woooooolf!!!!
yes they are the truely brave ones, and they don't even realise it! Suppose you have to give the trainers a BIG hand too, to train a dog the way they do takes patience skill and TLC... Wish they would train my dog he is a pain in the a** hehe...
We use pomeranians for our department. Great little dog with a hell of a bark.

That dog isnt crappy. He's performing a holding bark on the guy. A crappy dog would have bit him anyway.

The dog spirit, like the L.E.O. spirit, is one of tenacious loyalty and fierce fighting ability. Stay strong. Be safe!
