  • You might tear your bicep doing those shrugs with a mixed grip. I'd use a standard knuckles forward grip with straps.

  • no man what you need to do is warm up set before lifting. For example if I'm doing shoulders that day I'll do a set of shoulder press of like 20-25 reps. Just to get the blood flowing into the muscle before proceeding with the other exercises.

    Stretching is good after lifting.
