horrible quality. I don't know, I just don't even see the point in posting something this bad. Sorry if this was offensive, but that's just what I think.
@xtraordinarymachine0 Yep, definitely agree. :) Most of my videos are actually really old and really bad. Most consumer cameras have horrible recording capabilities, but luckily they've improved over the past 4 years from this recording.
I think there's a lot of heart that goes into each of their performances and I have never been disappointed with any of their shows. Glad to hear the live shows make you happy :)
the part about snapping the neck..refers to hwo much power someone you give your heart to can have over you. they can basically break you if they want to. once u make urself vulnerable to them..its their game
Can someone enlighten me as to the reference behind the subject of the song? I mean, I've often seen it as God, or even drugs, or just religion. "You could snap my neck." That's intense, but who? Life? Love? "Betrayal?" Must mean a higher power. The lyrics for 'The Flame Deluge' and 'Messenger' show just what Dustin/Thrice's promise can do. Peace,
Hahah, no one ever gets the 'soma' ref anymore. Unless they've read 'Brave New World,' that is. Thrice is evolving into a mythology. I am 100% certain that I will refer to Kensrue not as a singer, but as a philosopher. He's a modern philosopher, who's not afraid of action and depth in the brightest Dionysian light. Seeing them in Toronto on Dec. 13 ... gonna be stellar!!!!!!!
yeah, everyone needs to read Brave New World. The reality we face is an emalgamation between 1984 and Brave New World, and Brave New World is actually more dangerous, because they aren't even consciously aware that they are slaves.
even if they were, they wouldn't give a damn.
there's a duality in the song, possibly about a relationship, as well as God.
i believe that thrice is Christian, because of All that's left and Image of the invisible.
yep, it changes time. the song starts out in 5/4. (you can tell if you count it out) and then they move it to 3/4. then it move back to 5/4 and then back to 3/4. i think it changes back and forth a couple more times in the song
that's great, but does it make you think? Have you bought their new Fire/Water eps? I'm not bashing, I'm just asking. I'm really just tired of all the people on youtube who go around "loving this" and "loving that". It means nothing if you don't say why. And if you really love them, you'd say why, instead of just throwing those three words into the wind...
I understand what you are saying, but here's my position on this: I would rather support the band by supporting their tours and buying merch when I go. It makes me feel better knowing that most of the money is going directly to the band, rather than when I purchase a CD, knowing that a small portion of the profit is handed over to them. However, I did buy their latest when it came out, and it was amazing.
the bled sucked ass in chicago on that tour too, i hate the bled, i believe they didnt deserve to be on that tour, they are too cliche and completely unoriginal dancing in there girl pants

"frame" refers to our temporal physical bodies, that will eventually "fail" us.
"will I trust you to carry me through?"
this echoes All that's left..."CAN WE BE SAVED?!"
it seems to imply the questions:
am i saved?
am i right with the Lord?

This song is so freakin amazing! Only Thrice would have the guts to do an intro in 5/4 and 3/4. THRICE!!!!!
