I'm haitian and one of my bf is from Mandeville, Jamaica. There's not a big difference between haitians and jamaicans and other caribbean people. Where I live in Florida, many are intermarrying. The difference is between us and African Americans. Haitians are more reserved, more respectful, and generally have good morals and ethics. As much as I love African Americans, I think their children are a very bad influence on young haitians who are being raised in this country and want to fit in.
