  • everything these guys are talking about is so true is very sad seeing all those modern buildings on top of our history, the history of all of us Mexicans and yes every one of us should do something to keep it for future generations.

  • I'm not mexican but I totally agree with you. Tenochtitlán is the real name of Mexico city.

Latin americans need to be proud of what we have.

Even though I don't have much native american blood I'm proud I was born in "Mesoamérica."

And I also disagree with the word "Indians." That word should only apply to those inhabitants of the Republic of India in Asia.

And the word "American" applies to all of us from Canada to Cape Horn.

    Greetings from Panama.

  • I would like to encourage all Mexicans in the U.S. to give the gift of culture to their children. GIVE EACH OF YOUR CHILDREN AT LEAST A SINGLE INDIGENOUS NAME. We like to give several names to our children. Have at least one of them remind him that they are the inheritants of a glorious culture.

  • where can you find these names?

  • We need to have the Templo Mayor Rebuilt.

  • the europeans have stolen or religion culture wealth and traditions, but there is still time to do something abaut it we can still do something abaut it

  • im a shamed to admit, but im so brainwashed by the european mentality that hearing this is hard to take in. maybe if we were taught of OUR history as a child we would have been a totally different person. i hope more people will listen and confront white supremacy.

  • I completely agree with this video...it is so sad that sucha great city is forever lost to us and is covered now with mere governmental buildings...

  • people all over where and still been domesticated brain washed and cultural deprivated with religion "catholic and others" mexico could be more famous than egypt , why mexico made a big story about a "virgin of guadalupe its non sense"

  • your right it can be more famous than egypt, there are way more pyramids, the most ancient cities untouched, and great architectual achievments... they push spanish cultures on the mexican people to keep them controled, and ignorant...

  • i need to join im going to study and tell my kids this knowledge are you going to do the same.

  • You can dig under all those buildings and tenochtitlans remains are still there. They cant just tear everything thats been working down. Youll be surrounded by ruins. We shold dig them up and begin to put them to use.find out what it was and how it was used. Mesoamerican civilization can still live if we dont give up on it.

Remember who the spaniards are. They are the people who killed 95% of our people (in Mexico and "Central America" that means 23 million human lives). They destroyed our civilizations and burned our libraries. I can go on and on but you need to learn all of the monstrous savage crimes that they committed against us before you go on about liking them and that you like their culture.

spaniards are shameless about what they did to us. Some of them even brag about what they did to us.

  • hey, I got a couple of books for Nahuatl but do you know where i can get Audio of nahuatl lessons?

  • Sorry, but we haven't heard of any audio or video materials to learn Nahuatl. Perhaps someone else who reads this might provide information for all of us.

  • There were a series of instructional cd's recorded by cē ācatl publishing that were meant to accompany their children's book "Hablamos Nahuatl!". Unfortunately, the CD's seem hard to find, and while the Nāhuatl that they teach is grammatically correct, they mostly ignore vowel length and glottal stops, so those recordings won't show you how to speak Nāhuatl exactly as it was spoken before 1521. Other than that, I can't think of any instructional recordings for learning Nāhuatl.

  • @Owl559 what kind of books do you have brother? i wanna get so books myself, can you give me some names?

  • I like these videos...bringing from root.

  • IMPRESSIVE Video Amigo!

  • true true true

You guys have earned a success

  • finally someone who shares my view of Tenochtitlan being ground zero

  • Do you know of schools or programs, if poosible online, that teach the native languages.....?

  • There are several online, just google the language you want. There is one for Nahuatl which has lessons and is pretty straight forward. There are several ways to go with Nahuatl. Depends on your budget. For Nahuatl there are a lot of books to learn from and dictionaries that are easily available.

  • If there are any serious schools that teach Nahuatl, aside from grad. schools in Mexican history, I am not aware of them. The best way to learn Nāhuatl is to self study with Lockhart's "Nahuatl as Written" and Kartunnen's "Analytical Dictionary of Nahuatl". But don't concentrate too much on native languages, focus more on our history. Knowing about the achievements and failures of our people is more important for our liberation.

  • suphax

You have it exactly right. The knowledge is more important than what language you are speaking it in.

Once you have the knowledge, which means you are part of actively liberating your people, then you have the luxury of studying our ancestral languages. Which for all of us that means that we have to earn the privilege of the speaking the Nahuatl language, with our actions that are leading people to liberation.

Study Nahuatl only if you are actively part of the liberation of Anahuac.

  • Remember that there are already over a million of our people who speak Nahuatl as their first language. The vast majority of them are ignorant of our great heritage. They speak the same nonsense that the rest of us speak in Spanish and English.

Knowledge of our history should always be first. Actions that help educate our people should be your next step. Actively participating in the liberation our people should be your next step. At that point you can learn the Nahuatl language.

  • There is a NAHUATL universidad in Morelos. The only way u should learn it is from the people who spak it. If not youll be misrepresenting.
