Bad promotion perhaps? Also, if you think about it, most kickboxing events don't allow using the hard savate boot, so you have to rely on shin kicks that are not allowed in savate. Also, I don't think there are any pro events, so the savateurs that want to have a career train in other disciplains in order to participate in their events. Still, you can see savate's influence in their game.
i train it and tis cool :)

Merci CorbusierPuche pour votre question.
I only forgot to mention KALARIPAYATTU, which
also featured in the series "Deadly Arts"
presented by Canadian Josette D. Normandeau on
National Geographic in 2004.
And yes, you can also find excerpts from AIKIDO and CAPOEIRA from the "Deadly Arts"-series on You Tube. It's just a matter of time
before we will see the entire series on You Tube. Hopefully very soon.
Merci et Au Revoir. Bon chance!

This was an excellent series on National Geographic a few years ago. Josette Normandeau
met, talked and trained with the Great Masters
of such diverse martial arts as AIKIDO, KARATE, MUAY THAI, KRABI KRABONG and CAPOEIRA.
It gave us a great insight of these wonderful
arts and there origin and heretige.
I still got these little treasures on tape and
lately I have been watching them regularly.
So Josette, what about another great series?
Best wishes,
(A former WADO KAI practioner) OSHU!

@chickenfoot0
because its mostly kickboxing with shoes, which makes it a bit daunting i think.
