  • hi,

don't expect the drz 440 will be upto the level of a crf 450 performancewise, but you can make it wheely in 4th gear allthough i don't see the point. i could clutch mine up in 3rd gear with 15/40 gearing so that's not too bad.topspeed was +- 165 km/h.

do concider getting the kit, eventhough it's slower then the crf 450,your benefit with the drz 440 is that it's super reliable!

my drz 440 was to be compared with a 2000 husqvarna 610 SM

  • ive been thinking about getting the kit, but what ive been looking into is will the 440cc kit put the bike up to about the same amount of power as a 450cc bike. like a crf450 for example. ive never been able to get my bike up in 4th gear, and i was curious if by any chance yours will. because i want quite a bit more and i dont have 7000 bucks to spend on a new bike and i have everything stock on it except the sprockets.

  • it's a must for the drz :-)

it's a substantial powergain, especially if you have the 39mm FCR carb.

s for numbers,i can only guess, say if you would have the 36mm carb now with std 400cc engine and you swaped those for the 39mm FCR carb + the athena 440cc kit i guestimate about 10 rwhp of gain.definately worth the money. it gives you a whole new bike.

i'd say,if you can get your hands on one,go for it!!

    have fun!

    hannes.

  • how big of a diffrence in power does the 440cc big bore kit make?
