  • Dear Rama, the first time i saw this dance was in a movie about a girl from a poor family who was trained by a danceteacher. I absolutely loved it! And i am happy to have discovered you on the youtube channel so i can enjoy this. I love it, thanks! and greetings from Holland!

  • Amazing! I love everything about Rama- right from her technique, expressions, attitudes, to her costumes! Such a complete dancer! All the aspects are so balanced in her. Such grace and love for her art! hats off!!

  • Amazing! I love everything about Rama- right from technique, expression, attitude to her costumes! One of most complete dancers I have seen- with all the aspects balanced. Such grace and love for her art!

  • I want to get a hold of this DVD if possible with unabridged varnam.

  • I had the great pleasure of watching Rama V. perform at the Music Academy festival on Jan. 9th this year. It was a wonderful performance. You are an amazing dancer, Rama. Thanks for the videos.

  • n complete...ive noticed many ppl..many of them ..dont complete..n no perfection!

  • ur moments are sooo perfect!!

  • Pretty interesting and complex trikala jathi. You seem to have excellent memory!

Can you by any chance upload the video of Rama doing the Peacock Alarippu during a rehearsal? It used to be up on YouTube a while back but then was removed. It had such great camera work, and the mridangam and sollukattu was terrific. Thanks!

  • i think i saw some on google.

  • oh!!!!

do you have a longer version of this or a song?

    please i love your works!

  • Rama, for me nothing compares to watching you dance. I love the world because their are dancers like you in it. Is this BVB auditorium in Mylapore Chennai? I feel certain i watched this performance in person

  • Devadasi, thank you so much for your wonderful comments. What else does a dancer need? This kind of appreciation means more to me than any award !!

  • the pleasure is always mine. Seriously.... you stand with Mythili Prakash, Mallavikka Surrukai and Narthaki Nataraj as the four most enjoyable performers I ever have the joy to see. May you prosper always

  • Granted Mythilli is an upcoming dancer. To compare her with Malavika Sarukkai and others is a huge injustice at this stage. Perhaps your exposure is limited. With a name like Devadasi1 you should get familiar with Vyjanthimala Bali, Alarmel Valli, Priyadarshini Govind, Malavika of other top dancers whose clan Rama belongs to. As for Mythilli Prakash she has to has to shine from the group that includes Medha Hari, Swetha Baradwaj, Aiswarya Narayanaswami and hordes of others

  • I didn't compare Mythili to anyone brainiac. I simply said I enjoyed her perfomances. its a personal opinion.. and its not open to debate. it belongs to me. I know well who the dancers you mention are. and guess what, I prefer Mythili to Priya, despite plenty of exposure to both. Medha Hari and Aishwarya are great, as are most of Anita Guhas students. thanks for being an arrogant, smug, jackass of a man though.

  • You are most welcome to have personal opinions. At the same time it is pure injustice if I post my opinion, is it? I will not accept an abitary assignment to a upcoming dancer as one of the four pillars of Sathir? Will you accept if anyone says Umayalpuram Sivaraman, Karaikudi R. Mani, Trichy Sankaran and Pathri Satish are the four pillars of Mrdangam? Mythilli has the potential of being one of the 100s of pillars of next group. I wish her the best. Be honest. Enjoy Rama Vaidyanathan for now.
