I didnt get into George until last yr when i rediscovered my love for Thomas. From December to April i listened to him most and in May i kind of went onto other stuff but it hit me a few days ago that as of today he was gone for 3 years. I must say even though i never met him, I miss him terribly and think we lost someone very important to our lives, I hope he rests in peace.
how is this a tribute? I have respect for G.C., but this isnt a tribute. Tributes are like building statues or naming something after him. This is just a slideshow :(
Thank you, Mr.Carlin, for being such an integral part of my childhood. I regret not seeing much of your comedy while you were alive, but I give thomas (and by extension, you) credit for helping me to be a better person.
oh yeah andnoway...you know nothing of me or anyone so unless u want to add something positive to the dead that go masturbate in a closet to Owen Wilson (no offence OW....)or whatever it is you do to keep sane... in other words....a tribute to one who is dead is good...F^CK ANYONE who would disrespect that....oh and ....have a great day SUCKAS!
so what if people were somehow transformed by this now 'deceased' person...? the fact that a human being had ANY feelings here and now is worth something and SCREW ANYONE who would look down upon or otherwise 'poo-poo' that which means PASSION enough to be birthed into this world of 'too many critics and too few creators'. Trust in that NO ONE is entitled enough to know the deepest crevices of an individuals being -- so NO one has the RIGHT to CLAIM TO KNOW what ANY ONE would want post mortem
If George Carlin wasn't fucking dead I bet he would laugh his ass off at this tribute, Thomas the tank engine? Hahaha
George I know you are fucking dead and can't read or hear this, but I need to say thank you for the laughs and for showing me so much truth I was unaware of, you were a great man with an outstanding mind.

Knowing I'm from the UK and used to listening to Starr & Angelis, but George Carlin's versions of thomas & friends have always been enterainting to watch.
So sad....... it makes mw want to cry:( My brother Joseph loves the story " Thomas Gets Tricked" and George Carlin used to narrate that story. May he rest in peace:(
I don't think the kitsch Japanese music is the sort of mush he would have liked. It's a bit tacky really. What a great man, couldn't you have found something more appropriate?
While George Carlin was memorable for his smart, crude, yet insightful humor, people tend to overlook the fact that he was also someone who understood children, hence to why he was chosen to play as Mr. Conductor after Ringo left. He truly was one of a kind.
Truly a great comedian, Never will there be another that can articulate the intelligent liberal and funny skits George could pull out, Not only could he make you suffer from split sides but he really made you think.. such a rare gem he was.. with that said i will not say goodbye to this great man but only..
I love George. I love Thomas the Tank Engine. I do not love the semi-squashed pile of feces I'm sitting on right now because of what hearing Jpop played during this tribute did to my bowels.
I am deeply saddened by this. George Carlin was the shit. I even have his "Class Clown" album, which contains his legendary "7 words you can never say on TV". I am deeply regretful that I was never able to see him live.
He was my help and is my help in hard days right now too... He helps me get over hard times, so he really will be missed and he was right about all he said, but I hope that America will feel the problems that he mentioned and the real owners will slowly die off... May be then America will have a new chance to rehabilitate it self...
I was enjoying myself with one of his monologues (live from the beacon theather) on a sunny sunday afternoon and i thought "i have to see him while he still alive"... The next Day i realize that was never going to happen... the weird part of this particular anecdote was that the same time i said i wanted to see him live, he was dying... but hey, Im just sharing the experience...don´t come to my house and try to lynch me out motherfuckers...
