  • He's changed my life. RIP Carlin

  • wonderful tribute! the best one I've ever seen! George Carlin FTW!

  • He was the reason I watched Thomas as a child. He was the greatest narrator for Thomas. He had the perfect voice. RIP George.

  • George Carlin, He's in a better place now, under the ground.

  • I didnt get into George until last yr when i rediscovered my love for Thomas. From December to April i listened to him most and in May i kind of went onto other stuff but it hit me a few days ago that as of today he was gone for 3 years. I must say even though i never met him, I miss him terribly and think we lost someone very important to our lives, I hope he rests in peace.

  • when i found out that he die i was horrified. he was the best narrator ever. *sniff* i miss him :(

  • 6 people have no heart

  • I cried after watching the video because it's so sad.

  • I can't believe George Carlin became the narrator for Thomas the Tank Engine. Rev. Awdry must've had one hell of a sense of humor.

  • @360Nomad You didn't know that?

  • @SuperMario6419 Awdry was a minister.

  • the music makes me sad.

  • how is this a tribute? I have respect for G.C., but this isnt a tribute. Tributes are like building statues or naming something after him. This is just a slideshow :(

  • @Univer3eTwist3ers It's the thought that counts.

  • @Steamrunner92 maybe building a statue or something

  • Thank you, Mr.Carlin, for being such an integral part of my childhood. I regret not seeing much of your comedy while you were alive, but I give thomas (and by extension, you) credit for helping me to be a better person.

  • RIP George Carlin. 1933-2008. :'(

  • oh yeah andnoway...you know nothing of me or anyone so unless u want to add something positive to the dead that go masturbate in a closet to Owen Wilson (no offence OW....)or whatever it is you do to keep sane... in other words....a tribute to one who is dead is good...F^CK ANYONE who would disrespect that....oh and ....have a great day SUCKAS!

  • so what if people were somehow transformed by this now 'deceased' person...? the fact that a human being had ANY feelings here and now is worth something and SCREW ANYONE who would look down upon or otherwise 'poo-poo' that which means PASSION enough to be birthed into this world of 'too many critics and too few creators'. Trust in that NO ONE is entitled enough to know the deepest crevices of an individuals being -- so NO one has the RIGHT to CLAIM TO KNOW what ANY ONE would want post mortem

  • I was upset too, when I found out of his death.

NOW WHO WILL PLAY FILLMORE IN CARS 2?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • if george was alive today and heard this tribute he would say" fuck this mickey mouse bull shit wheres some fucking rolling stones"

  • How old was he when he died?

  • @dinocoking 71 years old.

  • Although he may have passed away, he is still with us...in our hearts

Everyone, even the engines of Sodor will miss you George...

May you rest in peace forever more...

  • Man i cant believe he is died he was the narrator of thomas for like 4 years

  • he was my favorite narrator and he was the first one i heard :( i remember being told when i was out doing stuff my mom told me and i got upset

  • what song is this?

  • If George Carlin wasn't fucking dead I bet he would laugh his ass off at this tribute, Thomas the tank engine? Hahaha

George I know you are fucking dead and can't read or hear this, but I need to say thank you for the laughs and for showing me so much truth I was unaware of, you were a great man with an outstanding mind.

  • damn, im tearing up... i miss that crazy guy!

    R.I.P George Carlin

  • George's comedy was the best in the land.

And as much of a jerk he may of seeed like in it.It is proven false in this.

He is a very a beughtifull man and he willl be missed.

A great triute, George would be proud :)

  • his heart failure killed him!!!

  • I love this you have warmed my heart

  • This Truely Struck Across Me When I Found out about George's Passing. Not Only That But Thomas Has Turned To CGI And Its HeartBreaking To See My ChildHood Hero Leave Us.

  • oh, i'm so sad. i'll miss him so much.

  • Knowing I'm from the UK and used to listening to Starr & Angelis, but George Carlin's versions of thomas & friends have always been enterainting to watch.

  • I'm Really Upset Here In Australia To

  • Carlin was an "Ordinary guy"; I'm sure that is how he would want to be remembered.

That would be His assessment. Humble man that he was!

To us, his ardent fans, he was so-o much more.

    So much MORE!!!

Sister Mary Elephant, The infamous 7 words...to Thomas? Brilliance personified. ABSOLUTE BRILLIANCE!!!

Wonder what you have prepared for "us", when we join you in Heaven George? Will we need a pack-of-"Attends", not wanting to mess ourselves?

  • my dad will never believe this, but George Carlin is so memorable

  • r.i.p i used to watch thomas all the time when i was a kid he was a truely great man

  • So sad....... it makes mw want to cry:( My brother Joseph loves the story " Thomas Gets Tricked" and George Carlin used to narrate that story. May he rest in peace:(

  • George Carlin was one of my childhood heroes.I thank him for making me love Thomas and 7 words you can never say on TV.

  • He had a heart failure?.

  • @joshualiu1993 George had heart failure.

  • @1f5sda Mind failure as well.

  • @12106445 What do you mean?

  • I don't think the kitsch Japanese music is the sort of mush he would have liked. It's a bit tacky really. What a great man, couldn't you have found something more appropriate?

  • he was the best thomas narrator

    R.I.P. we will miss u

  • when i heard he had died i was sad but when i heard mittion died i was depressed

  • While George Carlin was memorable for his smart, crude, yet insightful humor, people tend to overlook the fact that he was also someone who understood children, hence to why he was chosen to play as Mr. Conductor after Ringo left. He truly was one of a kind.

  • he ruly was

  • oh and wtf is with the sad Chinese music? Carlin was American if your gonna do a tribute send him off with some skynard or some shit fuck... lol

  • Truly a great comedian, Never will there be another that can articulate the intelligent liberal and funny skits George could pull out, Not only could he make you suffer from split sides but he really made you think.. such a rare gem he was.. with that said i will not say goodbye to this great man but only..

Gee, He was here just a minute ago..

  • George was the best narrator of Thomas the Tank ever. Better than Ringo Starr! R.I.P. George, your comedic brilliance will live on forever.

  • Thomas might use this quote from Forrest Gump since George Carlin died, "If there's anything you need I won't be far away."

  • I agree.

However, I made a dedication for him.

    Check it out!

And pass the word to your friends, and others, too.

  • "Gee, he was just here a minute ago."

    R.I.P. George Carlin

  • i honestly think that i didnt take the death of my cousin as hard as i took george's

    its tough

i grew up with this guy

modeled my beliefs around every word he said

and he was gone just like that

    Rest In Peace George

And say hello to the big invisible man in the clouds for me

  • I agree.

However, I made a dedication for him.

    Check it out!

And pass the word to your friends, and others, too.

  • You know what George would say to these tributes? ''FUCK 'EM! Like I care? IM FUCKING DEAD!''

  • i totally agree

  • @TomValedro he might be dead, but you DON'T have to insult him! show him some respect!! we will never see him again!!!

  • @thomasandfriends1000 I am not insulting him I'm just saying what I think he would've said to these tributes.

  • @TomValedro sorry! i thought you were insulting him! MY BAD!!!

  • @Gojira73rules i know where he went: a topless bar by the airport. cmon, ill show you

  • As a kid I watched him as the conductor. Then farther down the road he became my favorite comedian, then I heard that he died...

  • what was his role in the thomas tank engine series?

  • I believe he was Mr Conductor in the original series "Shining Time Station".

  • he was the narrator :'(

  • "I have no regrets in life. Although, I am kind of sorry that I never got to beat a man to death while wearing a tuxedo." - George Carlin

  • I love George. I love Thomas the Tank Engine. I do not love the semi-squashed pile of feces I'm sitting on right now because of what hearing Jpop played during this tribute did to my bowels.

  • Very sadding tribute. :(

  • I am deeply saddened by this. George Carlin was the shit. I even have his "Class Clown" album, which contains his legendary "7 words you can never say on TV". I am deeply regretful that I was never able to see him live.

  • the one, ONE thing that would have made me cry would be hearing his sign off for Thomas at the end. That would have brought me down to tears.

    R.I.P

  • i remember watching that when was a kid i loved that show. and i love george carlin. may he rest in peace.

  • He was my help and is my help in hard days right now too... He helps me get over hard times, so he really will be missed and he was right about all he said, but I hope that America will feel the problems that he mentioned and the real owners will slowly die off... May be then America will have a new chance to rehabilitate it self...

  • I was enjoying myself with one of his monologues (live from the beacon theather) on a sunny sunday afternoon and i thought "i have to see him while he still alive"... The next Day i realize that was never going to happen... the weird part of this particular anecdote was that the same time i said i wanted to see him live, he was dying... but hey, Im just sharing the experience...don´t come to my house and try to lynch me out motherfuckers... R.I.P. The greatest comedian ever...The Modern Man GC

  • OMG get over yourself,he is Resting in Peace.

No matter what your book says.

  • OMG get over yourself,he is Resting In Peace.

No matter what your book says.

  • not exactly. to rest in peace isn't about heaven or hell. it's about coping. he may not believe, but if it helps others to think he has gone to a 'better place' let them.

  • *sniff* i was shocked when i heard it too, now, if only i spoke Japanese, i wwould understand what they are saying

  • May God be with you forever, George! Anyway, nice tribute to him. The sad faces were all appropriate for the video tribute. Thank you for making this great tribute!

  • What was also appropriate was how you only used clips from episodes that he narrated.

  • Agreed! but, I didn't use those clips
