Just thought I would mention something.... they never say all the exact details in the episodes that involve "assailant/victim scenarios." Mostly due to how when these episodes are shot, most of the time, they are still in a legal battle or pressing charges, hindering them from saying what "really happened" versus what "happened." That or they do it for protection of certain identities and integrity of the individuals.

My aunt's neighbor shot at my sister and I when he thought we were a "deer". He freaked out when he realized that he could have easily hit us. I don't know why people fire guns without seeing what they are shooting at clearly.

Officer Greg L. here: They should be trained to hunt the way officers are trained at the police academy. You're absolutely not allowed to fire unless you're positive that your subject is not only a person but the suspect in question; i.e., the person who shot at you, the one you're pursuing.

This is exactly why I don't like hunting (or if people are gonna do it, at least go WAY out in the middle of nowhere). I'm sure it was an honest mistake on the dude's part, but he was even more irresponsible to be hunting at (almost) night.

yes, it was the hunters fault. It was also their fault for not wearing reflective clothing when they know there are hunters around, but more the hunters fault. He not only hunted at night, which is illeagal, he didn't check on what he was shooting at. Irresponsible hunters like that give the rest of us bad names.

"simple", you are hunting bear, you see movement, so it MUST be a bear, so you shoot. Remember to NEVER shoot at MOVEMENT, only shoot at the bear, deer, etc, once you see it and can EASILY identify it as the animal you are hunting.
