  • i have a bootleg soundtrack of THE SHINING and the ballroom songs are the highlight.

  • Love this tune, too - someone posted on EBay an article about the Netherland Plaza Hotel in Cincinnati, OH. (perhpas this country's best xample of French Art Deco stylee - from 1931) using this tune as it's backdrop - perfect for this! Thanks for posting!

  • Oh, man...this is one of my three favorite Noble-Bowlly ballads...at the beginning, after the piano intro, when the saxes and violins come in...it just kills me every time. And Harry Jacobsen...my fave British dance band pianist...his fill-ins behind Al are just super...thanks for posting so others can enjoy this one!

  • It's a pleasure, I have the original sheet music published here in the U.K. in 1934 by Campbell , Connelly & Co. Ltd., London. ref no C.C.P.855. The cover has a black and white photo of Henry Hall and says "successfully featured by The B.B.C. Dance Orchestra directed by Henry Hall" The music is for piano/voice/ukulele.

  • Hi. In case you haven't found it yet, this song is track #21on a CD called "Ray Noble and his New Mayfair Dance Orchestra with Al Bowlly, disc 3. It's on the Rathbone label. There are ten cd's in all and they include "every recording Al Bowlly made with Ray Noble in England."

  • I have a copy of the same 78 record of the great Al Bowlly singing Its All Forgotten Now. I play it on a Columbia Truphonic phonograph from 1927. Sounds heavenly...

  • I'd been listening to Al Bowly and this particular song way back in the fifties on my short wave in the old USSR. The station was radio Ceylon. A lot of water under the bridge. Is there any chance I could get a copy of it? It would be greatly appreciated.
