  • Jig rhythm= say "bangers and sausages" over and over!

Reel= say "blackendecker blackendecker" over and over! Now you know this , Dervish taught me! And yes, most Canadian roots music is Scottish influenced. Just saw NM last nite in Virginia. Fantastic show, great band, full house of thousands there to see her.

  • We first saw her, uhh, maybe 10 years ago at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. My wife and I had decide to go to different stages (there were six or so during the day). I was at her stage and after the show, I told my wife this was someone she had to see! At a later workshop, we both saw her and agreed - there was something very special!

  • I want to learn this!

  • lucky enough to have seen her live. an awesome entertainer. like going to see the fire works with a fiddle.
