Until i saw this video, I too believed that Mother Teresa was a great woman. On hearing this excellent speech and on doing some research I too realised she came to embody everything I despise about the religious right. Her heart was in the right place, her head was fucked up. Well done Mr Hitchens! and as ironic as it sounds. Godspeed.
What hitchens says here about empowering women, orwhat anyone today says about it, is nothing new. When alexander was on his world conquest trip for ego, the greatest politician, statesman of ALL TIME & of ALL WORLD till date, Chanakya said then, "if you want results in 1 yr, plant & cultivate rice. For results in 10 yrs, plant treas. But if you want to do good for life, educate the people, more than that, educate the women. They are the first teachers & mentors of all humans.

Give women self-determination, and we would lift the world up several steps. Hitchens was not only a voice of reason, but he was a voice of the future. We should tell our children about him, so they will never forget him, and he wil become immortal in us. Thank you Hitch !
