No you are mistaken, that was the GI Joe Movie 5 parter where Sgt.Slaughter appeared before each episode as a live action version/host.
I think he also appeared live in the syndicated version of Arise Serpentor Arise but I know he was definitly live giving the recap of the movie parts.
I thought sgt. slaughter was the host of the show as a real sgt. slaughter.
