I wondered how many of us were madly in love with Annette back then. I had her picture from "Pop Pix Club", a fan photo outfit. We did not have the Internet then, had to go to the drug store and get "Sixteen" and a few other magazines to learn about our stars. I remembered when you would never go out with your girl dressed like a slob. We were innocent then, thank you for this nice trip back in Americana. L
How these movies got made are beyond me. The Rats- I can only say theat if by doing that finger to von zipper to shut him is what I hope for. 'I Got a Army of Stupids? Of course let's not forget ' I like you and when Eric von zipper likes you, you stay liked'? The idiot running from the Buster keaton is 30 years his junior. You'd think she could out run him. Camp film right up there with Valley of the Dolls.
Studio vocalist JACKIE WARD, who also did most of the singing for Natalie Wood in the movie "Inside Daisy Clover" is doing the singing voice here for actress
Don't care really who's singing, but this one's my second fave from "Beach Blanket Bingo"...first is easily "It Only Hurts When I Cry"...thanks for posting
(to joncool65) On oprah, you see how quick john derek canned linda for bo derek an 16 year old.linda was a knockout on beach blanket bingo and as audra barkley on the big valley.once old age sets in you can lose being pretty.she told oprah she is retiring hollywood for washington state.she aged too much and getting old.brooke shelds vanna white, youre next.i surprised vanna still hitting letters over 50(wheel of fortune)and not quicklky replaced by an young 20 year old.because of old age.
I love this movie so much. Not that it has any cinematic worth. It's just soo much fun. Donna loren's it only hurts when I cry is a sing I always wanted to redo. It's sooo good.
Although they were supposed to be playing "teenagers" Frankie Avalon was 26 at the time when this film was made - Annette Funicello and Linda Evans were both 23-
And if you look at the light brunette sitting sideway at the table, holding hands at the 1:22 time mark, her name is Donna Michelle, she is 20 in this movie. A former gymnast and model, she was selected as Playmate for the December issue of Playboy two years prior and was the playmate of the year in 1964.
Studio singer JACKIE WARD is doing the singing for Linda Evans here, and did most of the singing for Natalie Wood in INSIDE DAISY CLOVER, sang for Janet Leigh, and did most of the female voices for The Partridge Family a little later on.
Shouldn't Jackie Ward be more well-known than she is? It seems like some of the best studio vocalists never really get the credit that is due them.
@JohnnyGNV that is so true - Joanie Sommers and Jackie Ward (Robin Ward) seemed like the singing voices of the 60s, yet no one seemed to know who they really were (or even cared)-
I saw this in my junior high lunch room back in 67 ? The film was probably 2 years old at the time They showed the entire film [on a film projector] for hundreds of us. Believe the film was probably a 16 mm print This song always takes me back to that lunch room . When you think back you realize how great those times were [we took em for granted] Thanks for the video.
AND TO THINK, Linda Evans' entire career started when she accompanied a friend to an audition - the producers saw her and automatically signed her to a contract as well!! (sigh) if only it were THAT easy!!!
I would rewind this over and over so I could write down the lyrics on a yellow legal pad.....I totally remember doing it while my cousin and I were playing girl talk.....GOOD TIMES!
beautiful,,,,,,and the songs great too

It is correct that the song was actually sung by Jackie Ward, aka Robin Ward , She had the hit "Wonderful Summer" in 1963.

@Martywt43 Yes, Linda was lipsynching Robin Ward, according to a book called It's Party Time.

Linda Evans is not one singing, The REAL Singer is a session vocalist named Jackie Ward and that's a fact Jack.
