  • How incredibly lucky are you???!!! My Nonno is from the island of Salina and I travelled all the way there from My home in Western Australia. They are the most incredible group of islands with the most precipitous hills on which to build!

  • @hawthornmad : Thank you for your comment. Sicily is such a fascinating historic and beautiful place. And there are hundreds of thousands of people with Sicilian heritage. While I was at the language school, there was another young gentleman from Ohio and his grandfather also had come from Salina. This young man was there to learn Italian and reconnect with his roots.   • I had the same idea. I'm skipper on a sailboat in Sardinia and I was thinking to have guests that want to learn Italian due my wife is a teacher...

  • This video is wonderful! It really gives a good depiction of the Aeolian Islands. The view from the top of Vulcano is spectacular.
