I can't understand and refuse to find sensible answer to how on earth this moron Stalin could turn his back to the allies after separation of the Germany and Berlin. He was squealing for help from those guys during WW2 and realized that he was incompetent in handling the Red Army. Fucking idiot ! I have lost my grandfather due to Stalin's "Clean Up" of military ranks. Of course Russians had to loose over 20 million souls because of this fucking drunken man completely destroyed Army Intelligence
@Russia2010 You know very little удачник... and your great Russian pride cost you nothing - and when it comes free of charge it replaces brains - ha ha ha... Go and visit mausoleum if you love him so much... I guess you won't find him there - beside mister Lenin... Hey I am not from USA or Britain... and spent years in Red Army - fighting for comrades like you... ha ha ha. What I say - is what every decent Russian will say too.
You certain have read different books than me....August 23??. It was the allied invasion of Sicily that prompted Hitler to cancel Citadel. That is beyond historical dispute. To say that Citadel was over in mid-august is sheer insanity. I've read a half dozen books on the subject and none have the battle going much beyond the middle of July. One more thing...please show me the "records and photos" the vietnamese made of 2,000,000 civilian deaths at the hands of the Americans.
@13alkie It was not the allied invasion of Italy that prompted Hitler to call off Citadel. If you read any of your books carefully you would know that operation citadel was only one phase of the battle of Kursk. The Battle of Kursk ended late August, it is historical fact. Look it up.
The Vietnamese have the photos of the war dead in their shrines or memorials in all the villages, towns and cities were they were killed. Go there and you will see them.
@13alkie 2 million civilians were killed during the war, not all were killed by the Americans but the Americans killed the most. You probably haven’t heard about the illegal US bombing of Cambodia either where 600,000 civilians were killed as a result??? The US criminal bombing also caused famine and millions of refuges and resulted in the rise of Pol Pot and the Khmer genocide. You have much to learn about your country.
The Germans had 320 divisions that year total by the way, of that 180 were on the Eastern front. 23 divisions were engaged against the allies 43 44 Italy.
The list goes on and on. Neither side has been angelic. I don't think this is the forum to bash each other however. Peace to all.
....and for the record, Citadel started on July 5th, and Sicily was invaded during the night of July 9th. That caused Hitler cancel the offensive and to order the transfer the SS Panzer Corps to Italy. It turned out only one of the SS divisions was transferred to Italy on a timely basis however.
I think you'll have a hard time pinning 3,000,000 mostly civilian deaths in Vietnam on the Americans. There is no way they managed to kill even a fraction of that number. There were a few thousand apaches in the USA.. The hundreds of thousands of Crimean Tartars and Chechnyans that were deported and died WW2 were much greater than Native Americans. Millions of Ukranians were starved to pay for the 5-year plans in the 30's....and have you ever heard of Kolyma?
@13alkie 3 million is the total Vietnamese deaths of which 2 million were civilians. The Vietnamese kept good records complete with pictures and yes, most of the 2 million civilians were killed by the Americans.
and for the record, the battle of Kursk was over August 23 and the invasion of Italy didn't begin until September 3.
some decent points by jospehporta. Gulf of Tonkin was vastly overstated. Of course the U.S. didn't need any reason to get in involved in Vietnam. The S. Vietnamese government invited us to help them. I too thought there should be no involvement in Iraq the second time around. By any estimation by reputable historians, the vaporizing of 100,000+ Japanese in the two atomic bombs saved the lives on hundreds of thousands of US troops and millions of Japanese soldiers and civilians however.
During Kursk 07/43 on Eastern Front - Western allies attack in Sicily. Hitler calls off operation Citadel and withdraws amoured division to defend Italy.
Western Front France D-Day 06/06/44 - USSR begins massive 'Operation Bagration' summer offensive on Eastern Front 2 weeks later.
Ardennes Offensive (Battle of Bulge) in West 16/12/44 - On 12/01/45, the Soviets begin major Vistula–Oder Offensive, planned to begin on the 20th
The USA bled UK & USSR dry during the 'Land-Lease' scheme...they not only wanted payment but also bases and influence in post war British political decisions.....The UK only finished paying the US in the 1990s...the Soviets refused after wars end....USA only became powerful after the war because it waited until 1941 before joining in and prior to that they were the arms dealer to all sides...incl minerals and ore to the Nazis...
@macbrack04 USA didnt tangle into foreighn conflicts in those eras, USA wasnt ''the worlds police'' then. Our nation tried to prevent future conflicts by supplying other nations who were willing to engage. Still that didnt solve the problem, both WW demonstrate this [we allways got attacked [pearl harbor, zimmerman note, lusitania, etc]].
Since then weve decided to attack growing problems before they are too big.
ps; We supplied the alies MUCH more then Germany [mineral..ores..lol]
@macbrack04 BUllshit in fact Russia made its last lend lease payment a few years ago. It was the Soviets bankrupt policies which allowed Hitler to attack, not to mention the Soviets were evil fucks as well and committed many atrocities such as Katyn.
@Jospehporta Not to mention that Americans that come onto military vids to comment immediately slam the others as "evil fucks" and other rubbish. The Americans were just as "evil" as the rest and perhaps more so because it engaged in unreserved air attacks aimes at civiliand from German cities to Japanese ones. So still that American moralizing crap where it belongs, not here. Americans are NOT morally superior people.
@historatia Well to be fair the Americans didn't try and genocide whole peoples like the Soviets did ie. Chechnya, Kalmyk Republic, Ukraine. Seems like you have a low self esteem bud. Better look into that.
@Jospehporta You forget yourself my friend. I think that the ethnic killing of the North American natives -- including a 46 year war against the Apache is unquestionably a genocide. Killing 3,000,000 Vietnamese mostly civilians, and vaporizing over 200,000 japanese civilians against ZERO losses (an incredible kill rate) qualifies the Americans sitting at the table of the evil ones. Civilians are civilians Joseph.
@Jospehporta Americans are the greatest throwers of largestones from inside a huge glass house, so STOP the irrelevant moralizing with that ridiculouse "holier than thou" BS. (Go watch the vids where McNamara admits that starting the Vietnamese war was done on a complete FRAUD just like the BS about Weapons of Mass Destruction that led to hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's killed for GREED to possess OIL that doesn't belong to the US. Evil bastards!
They forgot to mention the strategic value of US/GB landing in Italy. The German were bogged down and bleed into retreat at Kursk. 20 additional German divisions were ready to be sent to Kursk but US/GB made Hitler turn those divisions into Italy rather than the USSR.
@1Dougy85 That's not correct. Hitler suspended Citadelle because he had to move armour out to other fronts. Read the memoirs particulary Mannstein "Lost Victories".
@Jospehporta Yes, you are correct about that, but it is ALSO true that he was delayed because the Wehrmacht was diverted into the Balkans because the Italians got into trouble with the Greeks, opening the door to the British. The Wehrmacht has to slam it shut. Originally I was talking about the END of citadelle, not the beginning delays. .
@historatia What is not correct? When was Kursk over and when did the battle of Italy begin? Let's not forget there were 180 German divisions on the Eastern front at that time.
@1Dougy85 I suppose it depends on the points in the timelineand which Operations are part of it.
The initial tank battle was over, but the overall battle plans for either side had many phases to it. The withdrawal of armoured forces shipped to Italy sealed the matter entirely. The Italian Action (Sicily) at the same time July 43 and continued on into August with total overlap, The withdrawn force was enough that it cannot be considered insignificant to the outcome in the east.
@historatia There was no total overlap. The Italian action was not Sicily. The Allies had not decided what the next step would be and it was not decided to invade Italy until the end of the Sicily campaign when the out come was clear. How many divisions out of 180 were withdrawn from the East in July to defend Italy in September?
@1Dougy85 I'm not prepared to agree that Sicily is not Italy. Last time I looked or spoke to any Italians, it most certainly was Italy. Nor to I think it resonable to believe that the Allied invasion of Sicily was not part of the Italian Campaign, especially as there was less than 18 days from the German withdrawal from Sicily to the Salerno, Calabria, Taranto attacks.
@historatia It has nothing to do with Sicily being part of Italy. There was no invasion of Italy planned when the invasion of Sicily was launched. The allies were undecided as to their next action until near the end of the Sicily campaign. Did they know they would screw up and allow the bulk of the forces on Sicily to escape to Italy? Of course not. Did they know Mussilini would be overthrown and Italy surrender? Did they know Hitler would fight in Italy after the surrender?
@historatia It was two campaigns at the time. Hitler began ordering a withdrawal from where? Sicily? On July 13? I doubt that. US landings worried GHC but not British landings? Interesting. I do do my own research, you should do the same. Do you know how many German divisions were pulled out of the Battle of Kursk and sent to Italy? Only one.
@1Dougy85 ... "On July 13, Hitler began to order a withdrawal, as the American landings in Sicily that day worried the German High Command about a landing in Italy" . Summarization of German OKW war journal. Do your own research, read Guderian's book or Mannstein's, and learn that Sicily is part of Italy and the Allied military units that took Sicility are the same as the ones that took the rest of Italy.
@historatia The military units that took Sicily are not the same ones that took the rest of Italy. They were involved in the Italian landings but most left for England for R and R well before D Day June 1944. All of the British 8th Army divisions that took Sicily and invaded Italy were gone by then and the last US division in question left August 1944. One division left after Sicily. The 1st Canadian D that invaded Sicily and Italy was the last to last to leave for NW Europe March 1945.
@1Dougy85 Well, so personnel swapped in and out. However. "The Eighth Army then participated in the Italian Campaign which began with Operation Husky, the invasion of the island of Sicily by Eighth Army and U.S. Seventh Army. When the Allies subsequently invaded mainland Italy elements of Eighth Army landed in the 'toe' of Italy in Operation Baytown and at Taranto in Operation Slapstick." I was responding to the incorrect claim that the Sicilian Operation was not part of the Italian campaign,
Lend and Lease and the Multifrontal War were the Key in beating Germany. Only 1:1 the German Army where not to beaten because of Army doctrin and tactical advantage ( Auftragstaktik ), also the Quality of Training and Equipment were the better. On the minus Side stand also Hitlers idiotic decisions .
Without Lend Lease from USA+British Empire the USSR would have been Screwed allthough fighting onlky 3/4 of the German army- its in Harris- Soviet planning in pease and war.
Without Lend lease the USSR would have run out of aircraft as early as November 1942 and instead of some 6000 tanks availiable only some 1500 would have been present witout lend lease.
Just Read: Mark Harrison- soviet planning in peace and war 1938-1945.
At the end there is a table with estimated losses of aircraft+tanks, the number of tanks/aircraft produced during the same time period and how many planes/tanks arrived through lend lease.
Without lend lease the red airforce in November 1942 would have been at - 1000 planes and instead of 5000 only 1500 would have been availiable= no Soviet victory at Stalingrad= lost war.
@Denorius01 lololol read my butt, it says "KISS ME" :D i know the numbers in the lend lease i explained it to another retard who said the same thing... cant bother typing 5 comments for YOU... just to let you know -> RUSSIA got train cars, locomotives, planes, telegraph poles, and trucks. THAT'S IT ! no resources or what so ever.. the planes they aquired with the Lend Lease MORON are 14% of their total air craft production RETARDED IDIOT ! THEY PRODUCED EVERYTHING ON THEIR OWN IN THE FAR EAST !
@Denorius01 THAT'S WHY FOR THEM THE LOCOMOTIVES AND TRAIN CARS WERE CRUICAL NOT YOUR FUCKING AIRPLANES... YOU THINIK AIRPLANES WON THE BATTLE OF STALINGRAD ???? HAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
THIS WAS NOT THE BATTLE FOR BRITAIN RETARDED FUCK NOW GET A BRAIN AND BLOW YOUR EMPTY HEAD OFF.....
@Denorius01 aaaand ? they wouldnt win the war ? ... wright... those 3100 planes that are left from your calculations are so cruicial against the Luftwaffe... wright...
Or educate yourselve. Zhukov HIMSELF wrote in his memoires that without the
450 000 trucks/jeeps,14 000 planes, 7000 tanks, 2000 locomotives and MILLIONS of tons of food, ammunition food, 14 MILLION pair of army boots etc they would have lost
Without lend lease USSR=defeate or at BEST stalemate
its the same with USA/GB without the USSR, germany would have beaten GB/USA without effort. USA/GB should bow before Russia you did the most work!
@Denorius01 oh now even tanks !? hahaahha OMG idiot the fact that you're saying "....Lend Lease from USA+British Empire the USSR..." in your 1st comment that i commented on, shows how much you really have researched on the lend lease...
US+Brits gave tanks and planes to USSR... wow... i'm speechless now... dont bother typing anything in return i'm just not gonna reply to you anymore...
Read "1941: Anatomy of a Disaster" by Mark Solonin. He brings out the interesting fact that before the invasion, the USSR had superiority over the German army in every way, except determination.
A clash between an army and an armed mass of people.
Playing Halo and quoting Wikipedia does not equal knowing anything about military.
Haha big words from a stupid idiot who doesnt know ANYTHING about history. Fact is without land lease Russia would have run out of planes by 42 and out of tanks by 44. Mark Harrison has PROVEN it!
Hey but what do I expect from somone like you? You were probably drugged when u made that comment yes?
1. Remember you were the first to insult me
2. Dont write back - since your next comments will be certainly loaded with even more bullshit and rude language I wont read it! By!
And you read : Mark Harrison Soviet planning in peace and war, Mark harrison The economics in WW2, Norman Davies Europe at war no simple victory, the Wehrmachtberichte, John Ellis World Wars 2 Databook, John Keegan A history of WW2, etc etc
Without lend lease the USSR would have been screwed. It work the other way round without the USSR USA+GB would have been screwed.
1 on 1 Germany was simply unbeatable only the allies Flood brought it down - and even then the losses were 3:1
All of the books above are based on Viktor Suvorovs flawed writings (because at the time, most of the archives hadn't been opened yet)
In 1941, Germany didn't invade the USSR with Tigers and Panthers.
Their mainstay was the Panzer III with its inferior 30mm frontal armor vs 45mm sloped armor of the T34 and 37mm gun vs the 76mm gun of the T34. Even worse, the T34s outnumbered the German tanks.
Read the descriptions of the battle at Krasnogvardeysk. 1:1 Germany was very beatable.
@DurrDerp And what makes Viktor Suvorov's writing flawed, especially if you don't have access to the archives yourself. Every time my sceptical mind thought "That can't be true", further research showed that it most probably was. It certainly requires a rewrite of much of the Propaganda-Driven nonsense in order to lay out a plausible truth of the whole matter.
@DurrDerp LMAO if the Soviet Army was so superior in 1941, how come the German army almost annihilated it. The only thing which saved the USSR was a huge amount of land and a huge population to waste as well as massive allied supplies.
BT-7 and T-26 tanks could destroy a Pz II from a 1km distance. PzII 20mm gun had 500m evective range vs BT-7 and T-26 tanks. Out of 3300 German tanks less than a 1000 were PzIII and PzIV. Soviets also had better AT guns in 1941.
What I would like to know is when will Britain and all of Europe for that matter repay the United States of America for debt that Europe incurred during World War One?
This debt was conveniently written off by the UK, France, etc because they defaulted on repayment to American bankers during the Great Depression. If I were President Obama, I would bring up this issue with people like Nicolas Sarkozy and David Cameron.
@bogwarriorG The UK repaid its World War II debt in 2006. This does NOT include World War I debt. They conveniently used the excuse of the Great Depression to weasle their way out of repaying us for what they milked from us between 1914 and 1918.
And also, Lend Lease was was just that, a lease. Do not confuse World War II debt with the Anglo-American Loan of 1946. The Brits got a 2% interest rate and they still bit hed and moaned as they usually do. They were lucky we even gave them anything.
American safed them yes, but only because their feared germany. They didnt help for no reason. And on the other side lend lease was aprefect investnment for usa.
The USA did not suffer the infrastructure devastation of the first world war. The US had a post deperssion work force that would have worked for just meals and lodging, which they did. The US of A didn't suffer the bombing devastation that Europe did.
However, the US of A DID enter the war but only after she was FORCED to by the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Who knows what might have happened if the Nazis hadn't been stopped? No one knows, but it couldn't have been pretty.
@beneehall Sry but USA entered the war before preal harbour. USA supported allies with ressources etc. And btw. the attack on pearl harbour was just a provocation because american civilians didnt want a war.
Acknowledged publicly the importance of American efforts during a dinner at the conference: "Without American production the United Nations could never have won the war. -Joseph Stalin, during the Tehran Conference,1943
So all you dumb fuck ignorant stubborn commies shut the hell up. America saved your ass , Stalin agrees.
See 'russias life saver' by Albert Lorens and you have the truth about Lend lease. It was very important. The stories about the 4% are soviet propaganda. Marshal Zhukov Himsels told it. There is even a quote of him.
Ignorant fool. don't you even pay attention to this video. Without lendlease the Soviets would have lost Moscow in the intial invasion.Lendlease provided thematerials that tipped the balance in the Soviet favor from trucks,to food and radios..
@CCCPSovietSoldier The Soviets recieved 15,000 tanks. Most were far supperier to the BT-7's and T-26's the Soviets started the war with. Without lendlease the Soviets would not have been able to move the factoried to beyond the Urals and produce the vast numbers of T-34's. Even when the production of T-34's was sufficent it was U>S. traucks that carried the supplies for the Soviet armored forces.
@Russia2010 backwarded retard shut up fuck if wouldnt britain with USA bombed a germany, USSR could lose many soldiers and tanks!!!! america fought against Japan and this is why Japaneese didnt attack on USSR, It is stupid to understand this, you idiot!!! without lendlease you could lose too many soldiers.... shut up you agressive russian moron your country havent best warriors in the world!! RELAX(if you russian moron know what is it)
@Russia2010 your brain is pathetique shit you bastard!! a didnt say: americans are best!!!!! I said without americans would be russians lose too much soldiers.... americans with russians met in berlin and russians soldiers said to americans this: next war will be with you stupid americans, sorry but your army is bande of boastful idiots!!!!
@Russia2010 Well, between B-29's, P-51's, Thunder Bolts, Corsairs, the new M-26 tank with 90MM gun etc,etc I agree with Patton, we should have declaired war on the USSR. yea I know best soldier was russan but us terrible bad chicken shit Americans could have hidden behind the atomic bomb and watched all those heroic russian soldiers go up in a radioactive cloud. Why, with the B-29's we could have reached all of russia. Now I guess you say something stupid like I'm a big poo poo head.
god you can immediatly see where this video was made.... it makes it seem like the soviets were dependant on the great nation of america!
the m4 sherman was not the most modern tank of those days, it was a tank that had an inferior gun, inferior armor and that catched fire VERY fast. the biggest reason it is shown so mutch is because lots were build and because its an american mascotte and therefore you just praise the m4 sherman to heaven.
@bartieboy93 HAHAHA omg I was thinking the same thing. What's with Americans and arrogance? They've got serious self-esteem issues.
4000 Shermans in the USSR army? And that's called the 'bulk'? What about the 35000 other tanks the USSR produced by 1942? Oh my god.. we all know America was there to SUPPORT war effort it was not won solely because of them. Besides, there's NO lendlease program for the lives and courage of the Soviet soldiers in WW2.
Except it is on a channel ran by the Russian government and ususes both spellling and pronunciationi alien to Americans. (Centre instead of center. Pronouncing lieutenant as "leftenant.")
@hasafienda its the brittish spelling.. and about the accent do you need subtitles for them? many US tvs do that for anyone speaking in media with teh slightest accent.
@KOGR11 No, I'm just pointing out that someone is suggesting that the production is American, even though the evidence is clearly showing that it isn't. RT is a Russian channel. It's financed by the Russian government and is often called a propaganda machine by Western media .
@hasafienda just as cnn and bbc is called propaganda machines by the rest of the world, i understand on my part criticzing that would be ad hominem fallacy, but still its pretty clearly true.
@Wofka1986 your a fucking twat. Too bad I didnt run the USA back then..cause unappreciative pieces of shit like you could be fucking gased by the Nazis.
@Wofka1986 No.. if you look at the acctual history.. they wouldnt. Russia lost almost all of its tanks, it was left with untrained infantry, without the allied lend lease, russia would have lost moscow, and then the rest of the country would have fallen, if D-Day wouldnt have come there would be even more German soldiers at the Russian front.
Cmon if you repeat it all over it still wont become true lend lease and d-day wasn't nescessary for the victory about Germans thats a well known fact american myths about ww2 are just sick and rediclious but what ever belive in your propaganda fucking sick american retard.
@Hydro022 there were allready lots of divisions moved away from the east to fight in italia.... and the ussr had a HUGE army you seem to underestimate the will power of the population at that time
@Hydro022 If D-Day never happened Western Europe would be talking Russian. That'd be the only difference. Not to mention, 70% of all Germans troops and material was lost at the Eastern front.. subtract the British fronts.. America didn't do much. I hate these dumb youngsters thinking they know sh*t.
@Rudolf555 And if the Americans and British didn't do most of the fighting in the Pacific, then the Japanese would have turned their resources on the USSR and the war could have turned out much differently. I hate these dumb hypocrites thinking they know shit
All LL-sales to Russia made up 4% of all Russian expenses for the war. And all those LL-sales were paid by gold. The Americans are no warriors, but merchants. Thanks to the war and to the LL-sales to Russia, the USA recovered from the slump decline.
True. The USA lend lease is overrated it was merely sending equipment or in the case of the UK swapping equipment for technology or money. The Soviets did the fighting and that is more important than the equipment. The equipment alone would not win a war.
Let's see British would have starved to death not to mention all the crap we sent you, ya ingrates.
Russians got a ridiculous amount of supplies from USA. 700,000 trucks. 20,000 aircraft. millions and millions of tons of steel, copper, food, clothes, etc. the list goes on forever.
The UK bought all their supplies from the USA. If the UK had been poor you guys would have sold them to Germany. Britains wealth and brilliance won the day.
UK was poor...lol. You guys have just finished paying us back a few years ago I believe. You think UK payed for it all upfront? Uh no..it's called lend-lease for a reason.
Russia still hasn't payed us all the way back.
The sleeping giant aka United States industrial power saved the day.
If the UK was poor we would not have been able to buy all our equipment, nothing was given everything was bought. Radar and Sonar were given by the British to the USA as you guys didn't even know what it was.
The UK was nearly bankrupt in WWII. The reason this deal was called "Lend-Lease" is because the UK couldn't afford to just buy anything from America. Instead, the U.S. decided to supply the UK because it wanted to stop Nazi Germany but anti-war sentiment in the U.S. prohibited the United States from outright joining the war untill after Pearl Harbor. U.K. paid back the money over 50 years but it was only a token sum, not the actual value of what was given to the UK.
The UK was in no worse financial position than anyone else. The UK wanted equipment to fight the worlds war for them, as few others saw freedom as being worth fighting for. The Lend lease was all paid for by the UK and the reverse lend lease was equal to anything bought.
The UK was nearly bankrupt and in worse financial condition than Germany.
The UK wanted equipment to save itself from eventually being invaded by the Nazis. U.S. didn't feel threatened until Pearl Harbor, so it didn't join until then.
The Lend Lease was paid back over 50 years because UK could not afford to buy all it needed during the WWII.
350 000 jeeps and tracks, more then 13000 tanks, 100 000 artillery, amunition, rifles, 13 000 locomotives, more than 12 000 tanks, 21 000 airplanes and even clothes and food.Stalin hadnt even boots for his soldiers.USA,UK and Canada safed them.2/3 of all transport in the russian side were done with american vehicles.
LL hasn't decisive impact - it just helped russians to win that war. Plz leave away all your "we saved you" bullshit. You can prove that LL was vital? Nope! lol
The lend lease was British wealth getting the USA and Canada to make goods so we could fight the worlds war. So the lend lease is really just "British wealth". The Soviets built Hitlers army by providing 80% of all the raw materials he needed. The T34 was a Russian design and credit to the Russians for that.
I'm so grateful that Americans helped communism to spread. 500 000 vechiles, wow, what had commies done with out them. Maybe they would have lived without communism for next 50 years.
The lend lease was simply the UK buying equipment from the USA to fight the worlds war for them. The lend lease was FDR trying to boost the US economy while millions died. His right hand man summed up the views in the USA at the time..."the jews are getting what they deserved."...Joe Kennedy.
This is so funny. Even when Russian T.V. shows how important the lend lease program was to the war effort ,both Russians and Europeans claim it is a lie and would of beat the Axis without any help from the U.S. How can you win when they don't even believe themselves! How about being just a little grateful, after all we did fight the Japanese Empire by ourselves for the most part and really didn't even have to fight in Europe. We came late? We are in a war now,how about a little help Russia?
without USA's help at the 30's there would have not been even GAZ trucks in soviet union, not to mind any higher technology... think about that and lend lease on the next den pobedy. ohh and dont forget how you still occupied and raped whole east europe after "liberating" it from fascism..
This is revolting, America and Britain helping the communist USSR to survive. Hitler would have liberated the Russian people from those murdering scum communist Jews as Putin was trying to do, only he would have done it sixty years earlier. This is an absolute disgrace that we will never live down.
Hey gt lost u fuckin KKK, anti-semit, you realize without Russia in the war at the time there would have been little to no hope for Britain and America!!
The Red Army was only motorised because of Lend-lease-supplied American trucks (many Katyusha rocket launchers were also fitted on them). The Americans sent you many locomotives. And practically all famous Soviet aces scored their first victories in Bell P-39 Airacobras. So STFU.
The "matilda" and "Valentine" were two of the worst tanks ever produced. The Soviets were welcome to them!a 2Pounder gun;top speed 6 mph.I can imagine the Germans fell down with laughter when they encountered them.
All I gotta say is the Russians in the east combined with the British in the Desert were on the turning point of war. Yes the Americans helped hugely with Lend Lease, but I feel that the Americans added 'weight' to the Brits & Russians. Also if two enemies of your country are fighting, only intervene when they're both weakened. That way you can dictate terms and keep the peace.
nice vid but full of stereotypes .. 1800 T34s and KV1/2s in June 1941 were "few" ? how many PzIII and PzIV tanks equiped with 50/75mm gun did have Hitler ?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
The America's geographically were out of range WWII..hence got off scot free..sole exception being only time we were attacked when Japan ripped apart Pearl Harbor, therefore supplies were untouched.. plus US general Weeks stated the "jury was out" on what impact the 4% supplies had if any.
Russia as the Superpower of the allies killed over 7.7 million axis (75% +) then agreed to american pleas at feb 1945 yalta conference to assist in defeating lesser axis Japan after they finished Germans.
Kursk mainly was the graveyard for the soviet tank forces.Soviet propaganda operated numbers which were it had carefully`sexed up`.In fact, out of the 98 superheavy `Ferdinand`tank-destroyers deployed in the battle, nearly 50were lost, but out of those 50 that got lost more than 60% were abandoned due to mechanical failure(the 100 `Ferdinands`alone however took out nearly 600russian tanks). With the TigerI,it was alike.Few destroyed, most broken down.
look here u need to read a book or something have u ever heard of the war of independance where america got bailed out by a few do to them losing to britain and if it where not for all the countries involved we would have all lost in ww2 the reason america came so late is because of lack of technology they still had weaponry from ww1 they also after pearl harbor they went to avoid a war on homeland.
you are partially correct, but dont forget the rest of the world was in the same boat. Two of the most important weapons in the war though - the M1 garrand and the modern aircraft carrier, were in the sole possession of the United States. THe U.S> military machine wasn't geared up, it had no reason to be until pearl harbor.
Actually it was @ 375,000 trucks. If you want to see a total list of supplies that Russia was getting just google "Lend-Lease Russia". It will make you sick, that about of supplies & equipment Russia got, like 4.7million, that's right million TONS of food. Yet Stalin would not declare war on Japan as the supplies were coming thru the northern Pacific shipping routes..and the Russians have the balls to brag they did "most of the fighting"..like cowards
THE USA DECLARED WITH THIS AGREEMENT UNOFFICIAL WAR ON GERMANY !!!
Stalin pay with the revenue from the HOLODOMOR !!!
Communism and Capitalism comes from the same jewish smithy.

13alkie 7 months ago
@13alkie It was not the allied invasion of Italy that prompted Hitler to call off Citadel. If you read any of your books carefully you would know that operation citadel was only one phase of the battle of Kursk. The Battle of Kursk ended late August, it is historical fact. Look it up.
The Vietnamese have the photos of the war dead in their shrines or memorials in all the villages, towns and cities were they were killed. Go there and you will see them.
1Dougy85 7 months ago
@13alkie 2 million civilians were killed during the war, not all were killed by the Americans but the Americans killed the most. You probably haven’t heard about the illegal US bombing of Cambodia either where 600,000 civilians were killed as a result??? The US criminal bombing also caused famine and millions of refuges and resulted in the rise of Pol Pot and the Khmer genocide. You have much to learn about your country.
1Dougy85 7 months ago
The Germans had 320 divisions that year total by the way, of that 180 were on the Eastern front. 23 divisions were engaged against the allies 43 44 Italy.
1Dougy85 7 months ago
The list goes on and on. Neither side has been angelic. I don't think this is the forum to bash each other however. Peace to all.
....and for the record, Citadel started on July 5th, and Sicily was invaded during the night of July 9th. That caused Hitler cancel the offensive and to order the transfer the SS Panzer Corps to Italy. It turned out only one of the SS divisions was transferred to Italy on a timely basis however.
13alkie 7 months ago
I think you'll have a hard time pinning 3,000,000 mostly civilian deaths in Vietnam on the Americans. There is no way they managed to kill even a fraction of that number. There were a few thousand apaches in the USA.. The hundreds of thousands of Crimean Tartars and Chechnyans that were deported and died WW2 were much greater than Native Americans. Millions of Ukranians were starved to pay for the 5-year plans in the 30's....and have you ever heard of Kolyma?
13alkie 7 months ago
@13alkie 3 million is the total Vietnamese deaths of which 2 million were civilians. The Vietnamese kept good records complete with pictures and yes, most of the 2 million civilians were killed by the Americans.
and for the record, the battle of Kursk was over August 23 and the invasion of Italy didn't begin until September 3.
1Dougy85 7 months ago
some decent points by jospehporta.

Since then weve decided to attack growing problems before they are too big.
ps; We supplied the alies MUCH more then Germany [mineral..ores..lol]
prjerry7 11 months ago
@macbrack04 BUllshit in fact Russia made its last lend lease payment a few years ago. It was the Soviets bankrupt policies which allowed Hitler to attack, not to mention the Soviets were evil fucks as well and committed many atrocities such as Katyn.
Jospehporta 10 months ago
@Jospehporta Not to mention that Americans that come onto military vids to comment immediately slam the others as "evil fucks" and other rubbish. The Americans were just as "evil" as the rest and perhaps more so because it engaged in unreserved air attacks aimes at civiliand from German cities to Japanese ones. So still that American moralizing crap where it belongs, not here. Americans are NOT morally superior people.

@Jospehporta You forget yourself my friend. I think that the ethnic killing of the North American natives -- including a 46 year war against the Apache is unquestionably a genocide. They forgot to mention the strategic value of US/GB landing in Italy. The German were bogged down and bleed into retreat at Kursk. 20 additional German divisions were ready to be sent to Kursk but US/GB made Hitler turn those divisions into Italy rather than the USSR.
916ppl 1 year ago
@916ppl You forgot to mention that the battle of Kursk was over before the allies landed in Italy.
23 German divisions in Italy were unable to oppose the Normandy landings. Strategic planning that worked as it was supposed to.
1Dougy85 7 months ago
@1Dougy85 That's not correct. Hitler suspended Citadelle because he had to move armour out to other fronts. Read the memoirs particulary Mannstein "Lost Victories".
historatia 7 months ago
@historatia No Citadel was delayed because Hitler wanted the newer Panther tanks to used in the offensive.
Jospehporta 7 months ago
@Jospehporta Yes, you are correct about that, but it is ALSO true that he was delayed because the Wehrmacht was diverted into the Balkans because the Italians got into trouble with the Greeks, opening the door to the British. The Wehrmacht has to slam it shut. Originally I was talking about the END of citadelle, not the beginning delays. .
historatia 7 months ago
@historatia What is not correct? When was Kursk over and when did the battle of Italy begin? Let's not forget there were 180 German divisions on the Eastern front at that time.
1Dougy85 7 months ago
@1Dougy85 I suppose it depends on the points in the timelineand which Operations are part of it.
The initial tank battle was over, but the overall battle plans for either side had many phases to it. The withdrawal of armoured forces shipped to Italy sealed the matter entirely. The Italian Action (Sicily) at the same time July 43 and continued on into August with total overlap, The withdrawn force was enough that it cannot be considered insignificant to the outcome in the east.
historatia 7 months ago
@historatia There was no total overlap. The Italian action was not Sicily. The Allies had not decided what the next step would be and it was not decided to invade Italy until the end of the Sicily campaign when the out come was clear. How many divisions out of 180 were withdrawn from the East in July to defend Italy in September?
1Dougy85 7 months ago
@1Dougy85 I'm not prepared to agree that Sicily is not Italy. Last time I looked or spoke to any Italians, it most certainly was Italy. Nor to I think it resonable to believe that the Allied invasion of Sicily was not part of the Italian Campaign, especially as there was less than 18 days from the German withdrawal from Sicily to the Salerno, Calabria, Taranto attacks.
historatia 7 months ago
@historatia It has nothing to do with Sicily being part of Italy. There was no invasion of Italy planned when the invasion of Sicily was launched. The allies were undecided as to their next action until near the end of the Sicily campaign. Did they know they would screw up and allow the bulk of the forces on Sicily to escape to Italy? Of course not. Did they know Mussilini would be overthrown and Italy surrender? Did they know Hitler would fight in Italy after the surrender?
1Dougy85 7 months ago
@historatia It was two campaigns at the time. Hitler began ordering a withdrawal from where? Sicily? On July 13? I doubt that. US landings worried GHC but not British landings? Interesting. I do do my own research, you should do the same. Do you know how many German divisions were pulled out of the Battle of Kursk and sent to Italy? Only one.
1Dougy85 7 months ago
@1Dougy85 ... "On July 13, Hitler began to order a withdrawal, as the American landings in Sicily that day worried the German High Command about a landing in Italy" . Summarization of German OKW war journal. Do your own research, read Guderian's book or Mannstein's, and learn that Sicily is part of Italy and the Allied military units that took Sicility are the same as the ones that took the rest of Italy.
historatia 7 months ago
@historatia The military units that took Sicily are not the same ones that took the rest of Italy. They were involved in the Italian landings but most left for England for R and R well before D Day June 1944. All of the British 8th Army divisions that took Sicily and invaded Italy were gone by then and the last US division in question left August 1944. One division left after Sicily. The 1st Canadian D that invaded Sicily and Italy was the last to last to leave for NW Europe March 1945.
1Dougy85 7 months ago
@1Dougy85 Well, so personnel swapped in and out. However. "The Eighth Army then participated in the Italian Campaign which began with Operation Husky, the invasion of the island of Sicily by Eighth Army and U.S. Seventh Army. When the Allies subsequently invaded mainland Italy elements of Eighth Army landed in the 'toe' of Italy in Operation Baytown and at Taranto in Operation Slapstick." I was responding to the incorrect claim that the Sicilian Operation was not part of the Italian campaign,

In December 41 the Russians had 2495 planes.
From December 41 to January 45 they produced 86098 planes but in the same time period the germans destroyed 93 800 planes!
2495+86098-93 800= - 5207!
But because GB/USA delivered 19707 planes in the same time period in January 45 the USSR had 14 500 planes.
The numbers for tanks are 1730+78298-78218=1810! because GB/USA delivered 11603 tanks in January the USSR had 12 500 tanks.

1 on 1 no one could have beaten Germany..

From December 41 to November 42 the USSR produced 18 251 planes.
But from December 41 to November 42 the Germans destroyed 21 700 Soviet planes
Thats 2495+18 251-21 700= - 954!!
From December 41 to November 42 Lend-lease delivered 4042 planes to the USSR
Without thouse 4042 planes there would be no soviet air force by the end of 42

@Denorius01
DurrDerp 1 year ago
@DurrDerp And what makes Viktor Suvorov's writing flawed, especially if you don't have access to the archives yourself. Every time my sceptical mind thought "That can't be true", further research showed that it most probably was. It certainly requires a rewrite of much of the Propaganda-Driven nonsense in order to lay out a plausible truth of the whole matter.
historatia 7 months ago
@DurrDerp LMAO if the Soviet Army was so superior in 1941, how come the German army almost annihilated it. The only thing which saved the USSR was a huge amount of land and a huge population to waste as well as massive allied supplies.

As an American taxpayer, I want my money back!

Even if a donkey did run the usa back than it still would had the same outcome of the ussr beat the the germans.
Wofka1986 1 year ago
@xpropigate well that wouldnt give a shit because the ussr and britain would have finished off with the germans sooner or later...
your think the usa did so mutch in ww2,
well they didnt,
they were not in for the morale of the war (britain was)
if it were up to them the nazi's could have gassed everyone, just as long as the usa wouldnt be attacked you would feel fine by that.
the usa lost only 100.000 men in ww2,
the ussr lost 5 million!
ussr took the real punches
bartieboy93 1 year ago
@Wofka1986 the usa has a big army and has good technology but it does not seem to know how to correctly wage war.
but thats the usa spirit... its just like their legal system, it totaly focusses on retaliation and not on preventive measures etc

They would have won without Lend Lease and without D-Day.
Wofka1986 1 year ago
@Wofka1986 No.. if you look at the acctual history.. they wouldnt. Russia lost almost all of its tanks, it was left with untrained infantry, without the allied lend lease, russia would have lost moscow, and then the rest of the country would have fallen, if D-Day wouldnt have come there would be even more German soldiers at the Russian front.
Hydro022 1 year ago
@Hydro022
Cmon if you repeat it all over it still wont become true lend lease and d-day wasn't nescessary for the victory about Germans thats a well known fact american myths about ww2 are just sick and rediclious but what ever belive in your propaganda fucking sick american retard.
Wofka1986 1 year ago
@Hydro022 there were allready lots of divisions moved away from the east to fight in italia.... and the ussr had a HUGE army you seem to underestimate the will power of the population at that time
bartieboy93 1 year ago
@Hydro022 If D-Day never happened Western Europe would be talking Russian. That'd be the only difference. Not to mention, 70% of all Germans troops and material was lost at the Eastern front.. subtract the British fronts.. America didn't do much. I hate these dumb youngsters thinking they know sh*t.
Rudolf555 1 year ago
@Rudolf555 And if the Americans and British didn't do most of the fighting in the Pacific, then the Japanese would have turned their resources on the USSR and the war could have turned out much differently. I hate these dumb hypocrites thinking they know shit

All LL-sales to Russia made up 4% of all Russian expenses for the war. And all those LL-sales were paid by gold. The Americans are no warriors, but merchants. Thanks to the war and to the LL-sales to Russia, the USA recovered from the slump decline.

Lend-Lease US Lee/Grant tank was called in Russian- "Grave for seven brothers" for it was totally outclassed by Pzkw 3 and 4's by 1943.
IanHunedoara8 2 years ago
True. The USA lend lease is overrated it was merely sending equipment or in the case of the UK swapping equipment for technology or money. The Soviets did the fighting and that is more important than the equipment. The equipment alone would not win a war.
warriorprince1010 2 years ago
OVERrated? Are you god damn kidding me?
Let's see British would have starved to death not to mention all the crap we sent you, ya ingrates.
Russians got a ridiculous amount of supplies from USA. 700,000 trucks. 20,000 aircraft. millions and millions of tons of steel, copper, food, clothes, etc. the list goes on forever.
OlderG0ds 2 years ago
The UK bought all their supplies from the USA. If the UK had been poor you guys would have sold them to Germany. Britains wealth and brilliance won the day.
warriorprince1010 2 years ago
UK was poor...lol. You guys have just finished paying us back a few years ago I believe. You think UK payed for it all upfront? Uh no..it's called lend-lease for a reason.
Russia still hasn't payed us all the way back.
The sleeping giant aka United States industrial power saved the day.
OlderG0ds 2 years ago
If the UK was poor we would not have been able to buy all our equipment, nothing was given everything was bought. Radar and Sonar were given by the British to the USA as you guys didn't even know what it was.
warriorprince1010 2 years ago
The UK paid for everything and the reverse lend lease was worth more anyway..Nuclear technology, radar, jet engine etc etc.
warriorprince1010 1 year ago
The UK was nearly bankrupt in WWII. The reason this deal was called "Lend-Lease" is because the UK couldn't afford to just buy anything from America. Instead, the U.S. decided to supply the UK because it wanted to stop Nazi Germany but anti-war sentiment in the U.S. prohibited the United States from outright joining the war untill after Pearl Harbor. U.K. paid back the money over 50 years but it was only a token sum, not the actual value of what was given to the UK.
23GrandMasterK 1 year ago
The UK was in no worse financial position than anyone else. The UK wanted equipment to fight the worlds war for them, as few others saw freedom as being worth fighting for. The Lend lease was all paid for by the UK and the reverse lend lease was equal to anything bought.
warriorprince1010 1 year ago
The UK was nearly bankrupt and in worse financial condition than Germany.
The UK wanted equipment to save itself from eventually being invaded by the Nazis. U.S. didn't feel threatened until Pearl Harbor, so it didn't join until then.
The Lend Lease was paid back over 50 years because UK could not afford to buy all it needed during the WWII.
23GrandMasterK 1 year ago
The UK has never gone bankrupt, although Brown is trying desperately. The UK bought all its own equipment and won the worlds war for them.
warriorprince1010 1 year ago
No, the U.S. helped defeat Germany and the U.S.'s nuclear bomb forced a Japan surrender. UK did not have nuclear weapons during WWII.
23GrandMasterK 1 year ago

"Lend-lease didn't have a big impact."
Those 350.000 trucks were not needed? . Without american cars and trucks operations like Bagration would have been impossible to make.
MokomaSusi 2 years ago
350 000 jeeps and tracks, more then 13000 tanks, 100 000 artillery, amunition, rifles, 13 000 locomotives, more than 12 000 tanks, 21 000 airplanes and even clothes and food.Stalin hadnt even boots for his soldiers.USA,UK and Canada safed them.2/3 of all transport in the russian side were done with american vehicles.
Ixtzalit 2 years ago
@Ixtzalit
LL hasn't decisive impact - it just helped russians to win that war. Plz leave away all your "we saved you" bullshit. You can prove that LL was vital? Nope! lol
ukukirill 2 years ago
Ofc land lease helped USSR, i quoted enough about it.
Ixtzalit 2 years ago
The lend lease was British wealth getting the USA and Canada to make goods so we could fight the worlds war. So the lend lease is really just "British wealth". The Soviets built Hitlers army by providing 80% of all the raw materials he needed. The T34 was a Russian design and credit to the Russians for that.

naaskel100 2 years ago
The lend lease was simply the UK buying equipment from the USA to fight the worlds war for them. The lend lease was FDR trying to boost the US economy while millions died. His right hand man summed up the views in the USA at the time..."the jews are getting what they deserved."...Joe Kennedy.
warriorprince1010 2 years ago
This is so funny. Even when Russian T.V. shows how important the lend lease program was to the war effort ,both Russians and Europeans claim it is a lie and would of beat the Axis without any help from the U.S. How can you win when they don't even believe themselves! How about being just a little grateful, after all we did fight the Japanese Empire by ourselves for the most part and really didn't even have to fight in Europe. We came late? We are in a war now,how about a little help Russia?
flippysnotze 2 years ago 5
1. Stalin and Zhukov themselves said that without land lease they would have been screwed.
2. From 41-45 the USSR got 7000 tanks, 15 000 planes, 13 millions pair of army boots THOUSANDS of TONS of food, ammunition, fuel, spare parts etc.
During the war the USSR build some
150 000 trucks and 100 locomotives they got 375 000 trucks and 10 000 locomotives from the west.....
Without land lease the USSR would have been doomed- if ur interested in more then watch my vid- The facts about WW2

without USA's help at the 30's there would have not been even GAZ trucks in soviet union, not to mind any higher technology... think about that and lend lease on the next den pobedy. ohh and dont forget how you still occupied and raped whole east europe after "liberating" it from fascism..

maybe the lendlease help a bit but even when there are no LL the SU win the war.because they have more recources at all.

This is revolting, America and Britain helping the communist USSR to survive. Hitler would have liberated the Russian people from those murdering scum communist Jews as Putin was trying to do, only he would have done it sixty years earlier. This is an absolute disgrace that we will never live down.

The Red Army was only motorised because of Lend-lease-supplied American trucks (many Katyusha rocket launchers were also fitted on them). The Americans sent you many locomotives. And practically all famous Soviet aces scored their first victories in Bell P-39 Airacobras. So STFU.

Squarerig 2 years ago 2
All I gotta say is the Russians in the east combined with the British in the Desert were on the turning point of war. Yes the Americans helped hugely with Lend Lease, but I feel that the Americans added 'weight' to the Brits & Russians. Also if two enemies of your country are fighting, only intervene when they're both weakened. That way you can dictate terms and keep the peace.

nice vid but full of stereotypes .. 1800 T34s and KV1/2s in June 1941 were "few" ? how many PzIII and PzIV tanks equiped with 50/75mm gun did have Hitler ?

This comment has received too many negative votes show
The America's geographically were out of range WWII..hence got off scot free..sole exception being only time we were attacked when Japan ripped apart Pearl Harbor, therefore supplies were untouched.. plus US general Weeks stated the "jury was out" on what impact the 4% supplies had if any.

Rezessionsmottenkist 3 years ago
most had broken down on minefields or from mechanical failure and could not participate in the battle :P

look here u need to read a book or something have u ever heard of the war of independance where america got bailed out by a few do to them losing to britain and if it where not for all the countries involved we would have all lost in ww2 the reason america came so late is because of lack of technology they still had weaponry from ww1 they also after pearl harbor they went to avoid a war on homeland.
czechjozef 3 years ago
you are partially correct, but dont forget the rest of the world was in the same boat. Two of the most important weapons in the war though - the M1 garrand and the modern aircraft carrier, were in the sole possession of the United States. THe U.S> military machine wasn't geared up, it had no reason to be until pearl harbor.

Without those 250,000+ 6x6 2.5 Ton trucks the Red Army would never have got to Germany.
Gbrltr 3 years ago 4
Actually it was @ 375,000 trucks. If you want to see a total list of supplies that Russia was getting just google "Lend-Lease Russia". It will make you sick, that about of supplies & equipment Russia got, like 4.7million, that's right million TONS of food. Yet Stalin would not declare war on Japan as the supplies were coming thru the northern Pacific shipping routes..and the Russians have the balls to brag they did "most of the fighting"..like cowards
hitide286 3 years ago
They did do most of the fighting. 90% of German losses were sustained in the eastern front.
