  • Bravo !!

  • where are the classical guitar composers?.viol it seems to me that most performers play the old masters work.tell me your in the business is there a shortage of new work or what?.

  • Hi Jargenlink, how are you doing??? Well I guess there's some new composers and new works in the classical guitar as well. The problem in my opinion is that a new piece needs to be performed by a great guitarrist ( of course I'm not one of them) to be '' accepted" by the community. Lots of good composers are kept in the dark because of that, or their music just become known when somebody play them on a contest.

    thanks for seeing my video.

    best regards

    alex

  • A sensitive performance of an evokative and challenging piece. Beautiful. Thanks for posting it.

  • Perfect piece ! Perfect technic! what else I can say...

  • thanks dude!!! I'm really happy you enjoyed my interpretation.

  • You are most welcome Violaoale! Please post more of your concert performances for us to see. Have you played Barrios' Choro da Saudade? If you play that piece it would be a ... 'knock out'

    All the very best!

  • A very emotionally charged interpretation.

Thank you very much. I really enjoy it.

  • thanks brother!!! In fact I tried to play it diferent, I tried to put more ''pathos'' on the first movements, most players like to play the first movements slowly to enhance the contrast to the last movement,. I like both versions.

    thanks for seeing and comenting.

  • You know I've never heard it played so strongly before and I've always been a fan of it being played softly, but wow I love your interpretation of the piece and how expressive it was!!!

You really are an amazing player

    Bravo

  • Thank you so much for your kind word my friend... I really tried to give some feeling to this beauty composition by Domeniconi, some people like my version, others hate it... but that's it. I just didn't want to ''mimic'' John Williams , and Russell ( very good interpretations of course)!!! , I'm glad you enjoyed ... thanks for seeing

  • Yeah your feeling came through in your playing and I love it when people such as yourself put so much into playing, especially when you're not "mimicing"

I envy you technique and you're an inspiration for me to keep on practicing so I can one day reach your level!!!

  • This should be the best Koyun I heard on this website.

I heard the composer played this tune about 2 decades ago. The first 3 movements is very lovely and the last movement is very fast, clear and impressive. He is the best classic guitarist I ever watched. I wish I can hear that performance again.

  • thanks friend... but I didn't understand what you mean... you mean you saw Carlo Domeniconi playing his own piece???? well I heard him playing once and he really is amazing!!

thank for seeing my video brother!!

    alexandre luiz alves

  • Yes, I listened to Carlo playing many of his own compositions in a concert, a real memorable one.

After the first half, all the audiences went out to the front to buy his tape or records.

  • hum... good!! I have '' Baghdad Suite'' played by Carlo himself , and is very very expressive... I didn't know he was such a good player as well... his compositions are exquisite. I'm start studying the ''trilogy'' ...

    thanks friend for the reply

  • thank you very much my friend, thank for seeing my video! did you see the 4° th part??? Well this piece is quite free for interpretation, so that you can play it either fast or slow, I like to play it that way, a little bit strong , I put a lot of feeling because I love music, guitar and this song is one of my favorites,,, thank you again for seeing!!!

    alexandre luiz alves

  • wow, this is a very masculine interpretation of Koyunbaba, in contrast to this faminine interpretation"

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szY7jmWHXJc

well, didn't reallise that the same song can be interpreted in such a different way...cool~

  • i want to learn classical guitar playing also

  • Oh yeah dude. It depends only on you, and your willpower. Trust and you can get there!!

    best wishes
