This was better than his Introduction to this years Orange Bowl - The town of West Virginia located in Virginia??????????? Well at least Nessler knows now - WVU 70 - Clemson 33 - 83% wrong again.
Schools of tradition. Michigan, the winningest program of the past century. Hail to BO, the Victors, and the Maize and Blue. Alabama, the BEAR, the All-Americans, the PRIDE of the South. The dawning of a new century brings fresh faces and NEW Heroes. The Wolverines unleash a passing attack that sets NEW standards, and still can lay the rugged ground work that says MICHIGAN. From Musso to Humphrey, Alabama's had a legacy of great Running BACKS, but none better than the SEC player of the year.
alabama really blew this game. they were up 28-14 then gave up 21 straight points. then they scored and missed the extra point -_- its unbelievable how alabama lost this game which they SURELY should have won
@silverblade43 Bama gave up 21 straight points? Wow i guess Michigans offense didn't have anything to do with that, right? Michigan won becasue they didnt have a kicker that chocked on a PAT and a offense that could light the world on fire!
@Jeaurod it also involves your offense and special teams when you give up points like that. its not that michigans offense was bad it was just alabama had the momentum on each side of the ball and even when they tied it back up they missed a measilly extra point which a middle schooler could make
@silverblade43 how so? We fumbled the ball in the endzone and had a field goal blocked at the end of regulation. This game SHOULD have never gone into overtime.
@silverblade43 and so is having a field goal blocked. And fumbling in the end zone. That extra point attempt would not have happened if we didnt have those 2 things happen.
Who cares if you dislike Michigan or Alabama, the issue here is we don't get epic intros like these anymore, and that needs to change. BRING BACK ABC SPORTS!
You Auburn fans crack me up. I swear to god you people hate Alabama more than you like your team..... Kiss our ass you jealous bitch. Also what goes around comes around I guess... I seem to remember Michigan's offense making your defense look like swiss cheese the very next year in the Citrus Bowl.
Oh please! I know Alabama has had their fair share of choke jobs in bowl games in the past, but Auburn isn't any different. In the 2006 Capital One Bowl, you guys were double digit favorites against Wisconsin and you got your asses kicked. In the 2001 Peach Bowl you guys lost to like a 6-5 or 7-4 North Carolina team. Or how about in the 2001 Citrus Bowl where Auburn got beat by Michigan? Your mighty Auburn Tigers had the chance to redeem the SEC for Bama's loss in the 00 Orange Bowl.
Get real Bama was heavily favored in this game. Michigan was heavily favored in the 01 Citrus Bowl. North Carolina would have beaten Bama as well. It took you a last second FG to beat umm Iowa State? Get real. You wanna talk Auburn bowl wins ask Larry Johnson what happened in his final game at Penn State.
I know who did the score...it was Anthony DiLorenzo, composer for ABC Sports from the early '90s until ESPN discontinued the ABC Sports brand. He left a comment on another Youtube video a while back, seemingly overwhelmed at all the positive feedback for his music. Anthony, don't be overwhelmed, be proud. You gave the world a masterpiece.
Do you happen to know what video? That's really cool, and to you Anthony DiLorenzo, if you are reading this, thank you for using your gift of music to create America's most beloved intro score.
Look for the handful of comments from "anthonydilorenzo" a couple of pages before the end of the comment section. They look legit to my broadcasting eyes.
So many childhood memories are inextricably tied to ABC sports' college football music for me. It's really quite a shame that we hardly hear it anymore, besides at the very beginning of the prime time 8 pm game on ABC.
It's too bad I was only 7 years old during this game, this pumps me up so much, and it's kinda foreshadowing what could be a future national championship game!
This was a great game for college football. two awesome schools. Michigan-'Bama should be a yearly game, their first three have been just awesome games. GO BLUE!
As a Bama fan, I agree. I would to see Bama have a home and home in Tuscaloosa and Ann Arbor. It just seems like these two teams should play every year.
gives ya chills just watching it. again...i congratulate Michigan on getting the job done and i cant think of too many teams...if any...that i would rather go down in defeat to.
Brad Nessler's such a joy to listen to. He, Griese and Maguire along with the really sexy Bonnie Bernstein are hands down my favorite college football broadcast team.

@silverblade43 Don't worry about it, a few years later we where beat by Vince Young in the rose bowl. A game we SHOULD have won.
Shoulda, woulda, coulda......but didn't. And at the end of the day the "W" is all that counts.
