It's ironic to hear people talking about singing, shouting, jumping, dancing and "praising" God. But the same folks slit throats with their tongues at every change they get about folks NOT like them. When in truth, they're no better than anyone else. Sad, to say the least.
Some people like to hear themselves talk. Was she testifying or was she TRYIN to preach?
Form, fashion or a show to a dying world? I will admit, if you're into this sort of thing...she put on a good show for you to enjoy. Every church service like this is worthy of a LAS VEGAS PERFORMANCE. No tickets sold, just a plate passed. These church gatherings are the social life of many. Some come to entertain, some come to preform.
Oh my! Seems as though mother strengthened that which remains in me... I feel a stirring in my belly! Mmm... Jesus! See, mother got Him on the inside for real, He's just leaking out; with or without music, singing, or dancing. Whenever and wherever it's convenient for the Holy Spirit to show up, He most surely will. You can rest for sure!
Wow. This reminds me of my church. Im so glad I was raised in Holiness and in the old time way! We still have Testimony Service and im so glad! We havent change to today's "Praise & Worship." I enjoy hearing the saints testimonies cause sometime its just the encouragement you need. As a young saint, I'd rather be in church than running the streets and partying because Holiness is my life and in the end, God has the greatest reward! I love reading everyone's comments they are very encouraging!

There's nothing wrong with testimony service but a lot of churches don't have it anymore because people get to telling all kinds of stories that seem to last forever. Don't get me wrong, it's good to tell what God has done but we should stay on track and to the point.
it makes me laugh when people say i used to go to a church like this... my church still has devotional service like this but its mostly young people between ages 18-30...

For with the mouth confession is made UNTO salvation. The more we are a witness to what God has done for us the more we are blessed by his salvaiton in our lives. This reminds me so much of my church before I moved to the city. Where the mothers would wear their white and prayer hats or doyleys. After every testimony, someone would get the dancing, and someone else would start shouting, then the whole church is praising God. We will be in church all night, especially watch night. Service would start at 9:00 and we will get out around 1:00. Service will be filled with testimonies. There is nothing like that pentecostal upbring in southern virginia.

Chile, what happend to some of the church mothers is that they're wear'n their dresses and skirts tighter than the youngins these days, and those that are still teachin the way to holiness, the church done told them to hush their fuss, so some did. But i thank God for those who cry aloud and spare not!!!! Will the real church mothers please stand up! So I appreciate older saints that keep us younger ones in line, mothers and older deacons and saints, WE NEED YOU!

where are the church mothers now? I grew up in fbh in cincinnati

Chile, what happend to some of the church mothers is that they're wear'n their dresses and skirts tighter than the youngins these days, and those that are still teachin the way to holiness, the church done told them to hush their fuss, so some did. But i thank God for those who cry aloud and spare not!!!! Will the real church mothers please stand up! So I appreciate older saints that keep us younger ones in line, mothers and older deacons and saints, WE NEED YOU!

i laughed sooo hard... i almost cried. this is just like my church. i swear she reminds me of a older sister in our church who passed away a while ago. i'm in college right now, and i'm missing the services we had. i love testimony service...lol

If we can find our way to the old paths, the word of God say that when we find the old paths if we can truly find them we are to walk their in, I am happy glad about mother Brown's testimony it was a real blessing to hear, God bless you mother Brown.

Now this is what I'm talking about I tried to call the number below but any way I am in Jacksonville Fl. and this is the way we like to have church.Yes we still have church like this in the little community called Cosmo Fl. we take our time and have church we don't rush god but we give praises unto God for what he has done. Thank God that we still have churches around like this because we need Jesus in this world.

AMEN AMEN!!! That's how the mothers at my COGIC church in Memphis testify!!! My favorite part was "This is a sanctified church, this is a holiness church"what a joy it is to hear the goodness of God!! It's alright to praise him!! For He is SO Good!! So VERY good!! I Love the Lord and I WON'T take it back!!

Praise the Lord, God is good. Go ahead Mother and tell of the goodness of God. I miss the days of testimony service, and sharing of the goodness of Jesus. We need to get back to basic's, and testifying is the it. Continue to holler for Jesus Mother Brown for you are one of his vessel's.
