Dubs never have the emotion in their voices. The Japanese make it 1000%+ more emotional due to their incredible voice acting skills!

@fckbeans You are right =P... When it is in English or any other language besides Japanese, it takes away about 75% of the movie. The voices in the Japanese one helped show the voice of a young Japanese boy and girl. It also helps with the atmosphere like you said...

People should just watch the subbed version.

the art is simply gorgeous, and it's obvious that he's improved greatly in his drawings of people's faces. I remeber watching Voices of Distant Star and thinking, "Why are they so unporportionate...?" It's a work of art, but if you're looking for something good to pass the time with for entertainment, I wouldn't choose this film.

I think I have a new favorite Shinkai film, my favorite was Voices of a Distant Star, but this one is just so amazing. Place Promised was a disapointment since I liked Voices so much, but this film here is beyond my expectations, far beyond.
