  • are you hafu? :)

  • OMG is your name kai???? because if it is than i think you go to my school! great vid btw:)

  • I'm a ninja! I totally destroyed this pirate the other day using only snowflake shuriken and icicle kunai lol I'm learning Japanese to play all the awesome Japanese video games that haven't made it over to my country... Anime and manga too I guess, though I don't really care about anime anymore.

  • Im learning Japanese because its easy !

  • Comment removed

  • Japanese was the only language that was taught in the primary schools I went to. I loved the language from the get go when I was only about 5-6 years old.. I only learnt about anime and that when I was about 9-11 years old. I'm actually interested in learning languages themselves, not just Japanese. Although, I do prefer asian languages such as that, Korean, and Chinese dialects. I also the love things such as culture, tech, and entertainment from asia. I want to live in Japan someday.

  • I'm learning Japanese because I want to be a Naruto Pirate Powerranger.

  • I want to learn japanese bcoz i was astound by japanese culture , the work ethic. For me japanese are better than chinese or korean .(Opinion only) Only bcoz their outnumber by chinese population they cant compete with chinese. I want to know japanese culture and to use it for my own good. In terms of kawaii ness, well japanese are trademark of kawaii ness. China maybe beauty but .....respect more japanese.

  • You my friend, we two have the same dreamish, I want to be a comedien too, haha :D

  • i want to be a Japanese interpreter.......

  • I learn japanese .... to watch anime

  • i ask my self this question everyday, why do i put up with this?? why am i learning this??, reasons i learn it are simple manga, music, dramas/ variety shows, and magazines also its cuz im attracted to japanese boys ;)

  • At first because of reasons otakus learn it (videogames, anime, manga, etc),few years later...now I just love the sound and writing of the language.I say it,I love japanese.watashi/boku WA nihongo ga suki desu. (i hope i dont mean something that would be wrongly interpreted with this romanji)

  • I...

I just wanted to learn it. One Saturday, I was like "Hey, lemme translate my name into Katakana.". I got to work on the first row of hiragana that day. That was about seven or eight weeks ago.

    I'm learning kanji now. ಠ_ಠ

  • I want to learn Japanese because I'm a ceramic designer and I love the pottery heritage of Japan. The hand thrown stuff, the raku wares, it's all so beautiful to me. I would like to study there.

  • My mother tongue is Japanese and speaks a bit of English and Chinese. To be honest, I`ve never felt confidence in my English speaking in front of native English speakers. English to me is the hardest language to complete because so many vocabularies, slangs, irregular grammars, and so on. Maybe because the way we construct Japanese is quite different from the way English do. What part of Japanese do you think is difficult to understand comparing to English?

  • lmfao im still Asian but not Japanese im not ashamed i have no shame lol i do it because i've been influenced greatly by Japanese manga i what to study the art of manga and it's language so i may one day be able to express to others my art and feeling and my creative inspirational stories, but of course i won't mix the western with Japanese lol unless it will get me somewhere, i think that living in Canada and having this dream of being a mangaka one day would be a great achievement.

  • Good way of answering that seethingly embarrassing question. Its either you want to date japanese people..or I just dont know how else to answer that question. I just know when a guy askes me that question, theyre waiting for me to say that ..its for dating

  • I want to learn more japanese so i can watch my anime without subs, ftw.

  • Neat!

  • I think your funny enough to become a comedian sensei!...I laugh at all your videos, also I love to hear your advice especially cause you like giving the advice ^_^. And I want to learn Japanese cause I want to live there someday I love to sing and if I could sing in Japanese I would feel like a saint I love the culture the food the people I think it's all in all the best! XD.

  • I started learning Japanese because of Anime ;)

Not from watching anime, but it got me interested. I'd sometime like to understand what they say without subtitles xD But after a while I got more and more interested in the culture and the history and everything C:

I also want to go to japan, maybe not to live there, but a vacation would be awesome enough for me for the moment xD

  • i want to translate all those hentai....so many porn, so few translators!

  • he is funny

  • I don't like anime, or anything like that. Reason for learning: I love the people, I love the country, I love the language.

  • Why learn Japanese? Its so not complicated, its for frigging job applications X_x idk I never got asked the question why are you learning spanish....but i got asked a lot why I am learning japanese =_= pfft i dont need a reason for that. I do it for fun

  • I want to learn japanese and other languages, becuase I'm intrested in other cultures besides my own (I'm American btw). Other cultures and countries have always intrested me. I like learning about the way they do things, and comparing it to the way we do things. I want to experience something dramatically different from the life I'm used. That's why I want to travel alot aside from learning japanese some time in the future. I'm learning about the bulgarian culture and language from a friend.

  • 0ne of the main reasons i want to learn japanese is to experience something different, and it takes my mind off of the harsh things that i'm facing in life right now and it gives me a sense of peace. [: plus I already know two languages (fluently) so i know the years of work it takes. It's like being born again when you learn a new language. And it's also a reminder of how there's always something new out there especially when u dont want to get consumed by the sad attitudes all around you <3 [:

  • OK, I love anime, but that's not the soul reason of why I'm learning. The language sounds really cool, I've always wanted to be fluent in it. There's one guy in my class who tries to sound like a Japanese guy, there's this girl in my friend's class who tries to speak like one of high pitched Japanese girls, and a guy in her class that tries to do that thing that cool anime guys with glasses do to their glasses up...

I also want to learn it because I love the culture- pop and traditional.

  • I was about to like the video, but then he said "and tell otakus to stop watching anime" so no like for you!!!

  • @kjgv1 I think that was a joke, lol, because he said he likes anime too in another video, lol.

  • HARD GAY!!! :)

  • Why don't you teach? (I mean in a classroom... and in addition to what you do online.) Just sayin'. Think you'd love it.

  • I was annoyed that many games dont release in europe and stay in japan, then I thought "Hey, Let's learn Japanese!" With the time I got into the culture and anything and now the games are not the only thing now it's everything about Japan why I learn Japanese

  • I'll tell you why i'm NOT learning japanese. English, along with other languages are based on a phonetic alphabet with only 26 letters, which makes learning, for example, spanish or french, relatively easier. Japanese has god knows how many characters and a "new" and "old" dialect. Unless a really hot japanese girl wants to split a cheeseburger, i can't think of any practical use for learning it. (...and she can have her own burger. I'm not that cheap. Lol.)

  • i have also been practicing being a ninja, I eat a lot of ramen whenever i can, i scream dattebayo randomly to look cool, and chase in a gay-like manner an emo dude who hates me. the path of the ninja! Dattebayo!

  • I'm learning Japanese because I will be attending a foreign exchange program in Japan and well... I'm American -___- save me....

  • 2:45 lol nice Hard Gay reference. he is amazing

  • I'm learning Japanese because i just find it a really unappreciated and enriching culture! i love learning everything i can about japan, the language, the culture, I love everything about it!!

  • I was born and raised in Canada (dual-citizenship). So I don't really know the language very well. But I need to learn it since I'm moving back with my family who live in Japan.

  • To be mangaka

  • I was learning Japanese to further my employability in finance. Now I'm learning it to understand what a police man in a leather thong and hat face humping children would say.

  • so you want to learn japanese so you can wear a leather thong and a police man hat while humping children in public?

  • Because nobody has translated the light novel I want to read into English yet. :)

And I'm kind of obsessed with learning languages.

  • What shows do you watch from Japan?

  • "where else can you wear a leather thong a police hat and hump little children in the face?" lmfao

  • im learning so i can read the japanese songs i love and not have to look up the lyrics and also because i wanna go to japan one day and maybe become a manga artist over there.

  • *flushes culture down the drain* I am learning it to play like Nintendo or Playstation games that never make it to germany !!!

  • lol im learning japanese so i can understand when the speak it in anime >:) yes im a otaku ~ >w<

  • I wanna be a ninja and I'm a girl. And I love the culture and food and anime and I'm hoping secretly that maybe someday I'll be able to live there!!!

  • YAY HARD GAY MAN~!!!!!

  • Fuck you man. Someday, I will be the next red ranger.

  • wearing a leather thong and police hat AND humping children in the face? WOAH! LMAO i laughed so hard!

  • @XAFinalFantasyX look up hard gay.

  • I'm learning Japanese because Homare Sawa never speaks English or German anywhere. lol

  • I'm learning Japanese because i had a dream where I spoke Japanese fluently.

Funny thing was. I never knew anything in Japnese and i managed to dream up a sentence. XD

I also want to try and live in Kyoto. I honestly dont know what im going to do for a living but im really interested in japanese culture.

XD and just five years ago, my main reason WAS to watch anime without subs but now i realize my reason expanded.

however, i dont think im going to japan anytime soon so im taking my time learnin

  • I personaly became interested in Japanese language because of Anime. But because I became interested to Japanese language I learnt also the worth of Japanese cultur, thus making me adopt some of the traditions of Japanese people. Is it only a trend or is it something deeper?I really cant tell you that now..

But I can tell u only that there is ONE MORE person in the World interested for something else other than his own country and traditions!

Isn't that actually a good outcome nomatter the reason?

  • well im learning japanese because i live the culture i love the language i love the peoplee i love everything about japan! i am a puerto rican latina girl i havent been alot in america so my english is no great either but japanese it seen i guess that i can learnd it fast because im more intresting it in live there and all that in japan!

  • 3:19 o_elll

  • I'm learning Japanese because I like the language.

  • I am learning japanese. :D

  • Comment removed

  • To be able to enjoy anime with the hassle of needing subtitles, and to understand what people are actually saying when I go to japan

  • @drunken1agent2bob *without

  • To play video games :p

Lol I do voice acting, so wanna do voice acting for japanese animes.

  • ANIME ANIME ANIME How can you forget that?

  • the reason i want to learn japanese is because, its a very intresting language and rich in culture. I'm a fan of Kabuki^.^ and it be nice to understand my favorite anime without having to red subs. ;) i would love to live there and have japanese friends, and i wish it was easier to talk about learning japanese with my friends. :/ they always ask why? you should learn spanish! No offence to hispanic people but i really cant stand spanish. idk...

  • Yoroshiku Tofugu-San!the reason I want to and am learning to speak and read Japanese iz because I recently returned from a 9 day trip to 日本 and I can't get over it.I must return,if possible to live.I love everything about it,the people, the landscape, the food, the culture, the architecture, the technology, the cars, even the critters.and the hot springz!gotta love dem hot springs.and I left my fave for last which are the women.giggity giggity goo all over

P.S I also love the ninja museum I went to.KAI

  • I'm learning Japanese, because I've been interested in the Japanese culture since I was very little. I don't believe I have any Japanese heritage in me. I've also been very serious Japan since a few years ago. All in all, I have fallen in love with the country, and I'd like to move there one day.

  • u were funnny............. then u lost me (i fell asleep, best nap ever)

  • god dammit you took godzilla strate out of my mouth lol

  • I am really into learning languages; that's why I'm learning Japanese.

  • i want to go to japan

  • i'm mexican (but likely 1/5 asian due to my dad having a small asian origin) and I HATE spanish. So I'm speaking English for the rest of my life ^_^

  • why are you learning Japanese? because it's the most important language in Rasia. alot of people know it. And most importantly its a holy language.

  • @KatsumotoYamada Where? In Rasia? New word fot russian asia? XD

  • @Anonimgod sorry. i meant Asia. haha i know. stupid mistake.

  • I think every dude learns Japanese to talk to Japanese girls.

  • I'm not learning japanese. why learn a language spoken in one country only, and that country is gonna sink anyway.

  • @MrKra7as Hows that Dictator Kimbo Slice working out for ya? XD LMAO!!!

  • My reason for learning Japanese is that I love the language, culture, the music is awesome!!! I have just started and im not going to give up!!! It's much better than learning French, or Spanish 2 which I'm gonna study next year! Japanese language is so pretty!!!

  • I suppose I have many reasons why I want to learn japanese... I would like to have more friends that are in Japan! There culture really catches my interest.. .. I find the U.S. very boring and dull...A lot of Americans are stupid and dumb and racist! ect. ect. ... Other than china, I think Japan is a Beautiful country.. Some time soon I will be making a trip to Japan.... But ... FOR WHAT???? classified!! lol... :)

  • Why am I learning Japanese? So I can get the hell out of Western European Society. I'd rather be seen as a foreigner than less than human.

  • I'm learning Japanese because I've always wanted to teach English in Japan at schools. (I don't know why I'm telling you this but what the hey.) When I was in Grade 6, I watched Mulan and immediately decided I wanted to learn Chinese, which I still am. Then in Grade 7 I saw "Fast \Furious: Tokyo something or other" and fell in LOVE with how the Japanese language sounded. I started studying (I'm in Grade 10 now~) and now I'm going to Yokohama next year on a 1year exchange. I <3 Japans past, too.

  • Fuck that pirate! Ninjas for the win! XD

  • My reason: I want to order sushi in Japanese.

  • こんにちは。僕は日本語のクラスが大好きです。僕は日本語の生徒です。

If my Japanese is a little off, that's because I'm in first-year Japanese. :P

I wanted to learn Japanese because I wanted to feel different knowing a language other than English, Spanish, or French. They're too common imo :P

  • im learning because im an otaku and i wanna watch anime without substitle

  • I have a few reasons:

To understand the Tsunami videos and thus the research more.

To improve my memory by learning a language.

To appreciate Japanese architecture and culture more.

I love Japanese pop music and would love to understand what they say.

To find out more things I have in common with the Japanese.

  • I want to do foreign exchange to Japan next year but I need to raise $11K. I think I need to get a job...

  • (hope i did'nt post a comment already, i remember commenting on a video like this..)

Why Im studying japanese: When i was younger i fell in love with a show called " Hi hi puffy ami yumi" <-- something like that... Then i was like " MOM I WANNA LEARN JAPANESE!" My mom ignored me so i gave up.. then in 5th grade i watched some anime and learned about cultures at school and remembered i wanted to learn japanese.

I'm still learning a few things..idk y but im forgetting some of my english lol ;D

  • HEY I LIKE ANIME! xDDD

  • I want to learn Japanese because I want to go there some day and I don't want to be one of those ignorant people who don't learn some of the language before they go to another country. Plus, I enjoy learning. I'm glad that learning Japanese isn't easy and takes a long time, because it's more of a fun challenge and the feeling of learning more is much more rewarding.

  • Learning Japanese and the Japanese culture is a wonderful way for a personal growth. :)

  • I'm trying to learn Japanese (I have no teacher, exsept for the online ones, but I will get one in a couple of years) because:

a: I've always wanted to go there

b: Its got lots of realy good places to study marine life

    c: I'm interested in culture.

  • I have no Japanese blood in my veins, and I'm not an Otaku... The only reason I'm learning Japanese is my wish/dream/calling to be a missionary in Japan. Pretty cut and dry, no? I dunno if it'll work out for me, but I have to try to realize my goals, and your videos are actually pretty useful AND entertaining, so... Arigato, Koichi-senpai. *Awkward bow*

  • Reasons I'm learning Japanese is

I would like to read books that are not in America that are in japan.

Would love to go to japan more than once.

Watch movies in Japanese not just anime .

  • kuso teach us japanese or i already did but still tech us what u know

  • I've always been interested in the Japanese culture most likely because of anime and because for 7 years of my life i lived in Hawaii and a large percent of people you see are Japanese and I think the language is awsome

  • Im learning Japanese becuz I wanna move there one day and I think Japan and Japanese is really cool :)

  • I'm learning Japanese because I'm in Japan and I can't understand anyone.

  • @NATOFOXX man, that must be though. I would be so freaking confused everywhere i go.

  • @lunarbachelor true dat dawg! Lol he should dO wat he wants , even a ninja. Jk about the ninja part, unless you know how to become a ninja, then go ahead.

  • "iv seceretly wanted to be a japenese comedian" ya thats a great way to keep a secret, by postin it on youtube :D

  • im learning it because I'm planning to go in two years and live there for a while

  • Dude chase your dreams! God put them there 頑張って

  • My reason to learn japanese is to be a Geisha. :)

(Which is, FYI, not a prostitute)

  • As to reasons I want to learn Japanese there are a few. One is a promise to a friend I made long ago. Open up doors which otherwise would have been closed to me. The ability to broaden one's own knowledge beyond their capability & experience. To be able to sing in another language, very cool. To help break down borders & bring people closer together. To feel life hasn't been a waste of time due to missed opportunities. Maybe Japanese can't understand such things but to me it's everything! ^_^

  • Have you ever run into a Japanese who didn't like the fact you were speaking Japanese? Some even would refuse to speak to you or even get hostile. Don't speak Japanese speak English. Even if you Japanese is good or even fluent. Isn't this a double edged sword though. They get mad for you speaking English and get mad you speaking Japanese lol. Kinda to faced isn't it? I don't know maybe this isn't as common as I would think most would appreciate the effort, thoughts?

  • what was scary was, you mentioned like, pervy men humping children. then you went on to say you wanted to be an elementry teacher :/ maybe not the best time to reveal such and ambition .lol

but usually i just thought you were just a japanese show of and deadly random.... but now! when actually looking @ you, your really good looking, and quite a hoot (really funny). keep up the videos please... and your high school days? that would make you how old? thought you were younger.....

  • i would like to learn japanese because i feel it would benifit me later in my career choice

  • I want to learn because I've always felt a connection to Japan. I was born in Okinawa but moved when I was a baby. My parents taught Shotokan, even before living in Japan, so I was still exposed to some of the culture. I have known some very basic Japanese (counting and such) for as long as I've known English. I may be entirely Caucasian, but the culture my parents learned and taught has stayed with me. Only later did I watch any anime and become more curious about the culture and language.

  • You are already a comedian. Thanks for the laughs!

  • lol i want to learn japanese because i like anime XD also becuase i would like to go to japan one day. but mostly because i want to prove to myself that i CAN learn japanese. i think my reasons are okay, not great but okay.

  • Becuz iwant to got to Japan

  • Question: is learning a language because you enjoy languages at least a semi-good reason?

  • O.O

the thong wearing man and the children part

    was... pretty creepy...

    it's not funny

  • At first I shit my pants at how awesome anime was so I started studying Japanese. I studied Japanese for a week then quit. Then all I did was watch anime with English subtitles.

...Looking back at it that was one of the most retarded things I've ever done in my life. Since then, I signed up on TextFugu, did other things, and my reasons for learning Japanese grew more than just to watch anime, e.g., actual culture, possibly going to Japan, translation jobs (muahaha), etc.

  • Six dollars isn't worth stealing...lol. Just saying. I want to learn Japanese...because I've been listening to the music since high school, and that was a long time ago; it's time I learn to just listen without finding translations. I can make my own! I love the dramas! And YamaPi! Oh, and I am saving up to get to Japan to see Arashi and Versailles!!! <3 <3 It would be nice to not be lost when I get there.

  • If it wasn't for English anime dubs, I would have never learned English properly ('cause the ridiculous amount of English vocabulary we learned in school was not helpful at all)

  • I love to help people connect and understand each other. I love to be the linguistic glue that allows people from completely different origins and backgrounds to work together. I had an experience as an on-the-spot emergency interpreter for my Spanish speaking friend years ago and I was hooked on the idea then. I adore anime and J-dorama and I really like the idea of not needing subtitles! Aaaaand I'd also like to score me a sexy JRocker boyfriend. ;) The first one is my primary motivation. <3

  • HARD GAY HOOOOOOOO lol

    Sexiest man alive!

my reasons are kinda like the same. My dad knows a little japanese, my grandparents and basically the rest of my family are fluent and I only speak "obachan-ese" you know..."ohayou..arigatou...hai....."

And...last but not least, I love to learn and teach languages so I might consider that a reason as well.

And hey...don't give up! I think you would be a great comedian!

  • Your too funny to not be a japanese comedian!!! XD

I'm trying to learn it because it's always facinated me how they learn, speak, read and write Japanese like we do with english and understand each other and we have no clue what they're talking about. that and I wanna voice act japanese anime and interested in the culture, lifestyle, ect. :D

  • :)

  • Could u teach me Japanese over skyp or webcam maybe

  • @dragonandy99 Try textfugu it's by the same guy, after all i dont think he has enough time to teach people individualy XD

  • You're excluded regardless of your japanese. Ninjas don't wear glasses.

  • @ProMarkChris Kabuto wears glasses and he's a ninja! D: *SHOT*

  • I took Japanese because I liked anime. Like, Otaku obsession galore. But I've grown from that. I want to live in the culture of Japan, and use the language in my job. I'm going to be a translator when I get out of college. :) I have a simple answer that works for almost anyone: BECAUSE JAPAN.

  • I thought samurai were only Japanese,

  • r u japanese?

  • I love different languages, but I love the sound of some more than others and Japanese is one of them. It's just got such a beautiful flow to it. In all honesty, the language is what got me into the culture instead of vice versa. ^_^ I love it all though.

  • become a ninja comedian :)

  • I started learning because I needed a foreign language for my major, I randomly decided to pick Japanese. The more I studied, the more I liked it. I studied abroad in Japan for a month, and now I've decided that I want to teach English in Japan. What drives me nuts though, is that when people in my class ask my why, if I didn't like anime, did I decide to try and learn Japanese. I said "just because it sounds interesting." It always seemed like it wasn't a good enough answer for them.

  • 偏見が多いのでは?もうちょっとthe日本人の勉強を。。。でも面白いです。応援してますー。

  • @papariahcarey 黙り ! <------ I just said silence in japanese :D

  • @papariahcarey google translator fail. lol

  • Hahaha not good enough to b a comiedian? Lol ur way too good XD Arrg you b a ninja??

  • im learning to become the greatest mangaka!!

  • huhu, that`s Amanda from Germany. I`m learning Japanese because I like it to eat with hashi (not brigde, chopsticks!!) since I`m 13 years old. I love tofugu (kouichi?) but I need too much brain capacity to understand the lessons about Japanese in English...crazy kotoba mori no watashi

  • I r gon lern japanese b/c offzz ANimeez omnOMNOMNOM...

No but really, that's pretty much why.

  • Was that a Razor Ramon Hg reference? YAHOOZA!

  • dude! you're awesome! I support you! a new youtube rising star! hehe haha~ tutor me! I want to learn japanese... THE RIGHT WAY =D

  • totemmo hen desuyo

  • you can be a comedian because you seem like the kind of person who dosen't get nervous in front of people.

ps where is the panda had you wore in the other video

  • Why I learn this? Well I have learned english for years now and I like it. I like learning languages, I like translating. (Well my secret dream is to be a translator.) And I like anime and other stuff too, because it is so fricking funny!XD

  • I'm learning Japanese because I play various games competitively and I'd like to communicate with my Japanese friends in their language.

  • i am studying japanese because i want to watch anime and manga.

    Problem?

  • I want to learn japanese becuase I want to learn a new language that's diffrent and becuase I like japanese and want to be able to speak, read, and write it. The only problem is, i only know Romanji and what i do know is just 2 words... But I still want to learn most of the japanese language.

  • This is an interesting subject to discuss! Why do we want to learn different languages? It's sometimes important to stop and give a though to it, maybe it helps us to find things that we are really looking for. I've been learning japanese because I'd like to make movies in Japan someday and do japanese scripts, japanese sounds beautiful in films. Japan has also beautiful landscapes for movie scenes. I'm just not good in japanese or making good scripts so maybe the dream has to wait some time

  • im learning japanese because i want to go to japan because: they have good sea food, japan is beautiful, i LOVE anime and they just have an AMAZEING cultre

  • "telling otaku to stop watching anime".. lolz... nice~!

  • I'm studying japanese to see if I can do it.

  • How long should i learn for a day ?

I learn it since 1 year but only once per week and prepare myself for the next lesson.

I'm 15 years and in the 10 class. It's hard to learn for school AND learn for japanse.

But i want to speak good japanse to live there in the future.

  • I want to learn for similar reasons, the people, culture, places, TV (not just anime) etc. Tho its also partially to see the difference between the western world and asia.. i guess you could say its mostly culture. Kinda tired of seeing white girls without any culture, values or morals.

  • @Arvak777 It's wrong to say that 'White' girls are devoid of culture, values or morals; just as it's wrong to say that Asian women are blessed with a plethora of moral goodness. Either way it's stereotyping. Western women are just brought up in a different cultural background, where certain things that are taboo in Japan and most of Asia are considered no big deal. That doesn't mean that they are bereft of morals, they just conform to different moral standards.

  • 1:22 and 1:30... brilliant... me too... though i have yet to poison someone (unfortunately my brother is my roommate and i don't hate him that much :P)

  • Oh come on! XD Right when you said the real reasons my computer stopped! XD Epic computer fail! On another note....

I think you could become a comiedien! Your hilarious so go for it!

  • I Like you :)

  • I respect you. I have the drive but not the means to learn Nihongo. I'm trying like hell but I want to study with someone else's help because I'm finding it difficult to catch on without carrying a real conversation. I would very much love to move to Nihon one day because I've studied the culture and I think it would be a much better place to raise a family. I'm 20 so I've got a long way to go, but, I'm trying. So, on that note, again, I respect you.

  • @Reprobate6x6x6 You can try livemocha, they send you emails if you haven't logged to your classes and you get people who know to correct your excercises... you can also help and chat online with people who know many languages..

  • you're hilarious, i LOVE your videos!!!!

and you have great hair ^^

  • Being a ninja would be quite awesome.

    I'm studying Japanese,because I want to be a translator for Japanese-English/English-Japanese.

  • Dude! Dude! DUUUUUDEEE! I knew what you were saying at the start

  • My main reason is because I hate translations and waiting for translators. I want to read and watch the stuff directly myself, missing nothing in translation.

I got sick after waiting for TV series to be translated, so I started watching Heroes without translation.

At the end of the series I could understand spoken American English.

Thanks to Doctor Who and The IT crowd I got the British one. That one was harder.

The downside is: sometimes I THINK in English... >_<

  • @MithranArkanere Thinking in english is not that bad, I used to do so when little (about 7 or 8) and some ideas are clearer.. I speak spanish as my mother tounge.

  • @Makysha What's a tounge? XD

  • @MithranArkanere your very first language you learn and speak in your country, i think, is your mother tounge. a tounge by itself is what you got in your mouth

  • I won't lie my interest in Japan and the Japanese language began with anime (though at the time I didn't know it was called such, it was just extra cool cartoons) and I've yet to learn anything beyond the honorifics which make it into english translations nowadays. Hopefully that isn't too low a position to advance from. As for other languages, culturally and for family purposes It is Spanish. Nahuatl, as well. Though that may be tough luck on the last.
