yeah, people are pretty ignorant to the fact that those "watered down" American beers are owned by European companies. To be fair though I've been told ( parents, uncles etc..)that Mainstream American beer have pretty much sucked for a long time, way before the Euros got their hands on it, it's actually become worse under their guidance, supposedly. BUT American Craft beers are some of the best in the world, i totally vouch for that. S.America has some kick ass brews as well(Argentina,Chile esp)
I love all these people talking about American beer being water. I assume they are speaking of Miller, Coors and Budwiser? Those are all European owned companies. This video is talking about ture American Craft Beers which are some of the best in the world. as for alcohal content, most beer made from traditional brewing methods is somewhere between 4 & 7% There are some new methods being used in, you guessed it, America with alcohal content in the low to mid 20%
@GSheppo92 the cheap famous ones taste literally like carbonated water with drops of alcohol in it, but under that shroud of beer heresy there are many world-class breweries brewing with quality, passion and innovation. seriously, just so you know. i hope you get to enjoy some good beers from america in the future!
A few comments here seem to confuse American beer with the American macro brews (Bud, Miller, Coors). The craft brews and micro brews are where you can find diversity and flavor. Like many things in America, a few trailblazers try to take the best of what they can find from the rest of the word and combine it into something great. With 1,500 breweries in the USA there is something for everyone that appreciates beer.
well, since utopias is 25 % abv, i'm gonna have to guess you weigh 2,000 pounds or something. The person in this video makes the 120 minute ipa (22 % abv). it must take a lot to get you drunk.
i want to try american beer im from canada. I want to know if its sweatter or something because of the low alochol level. Does anyone 1 know of a bear with alot of sugur in it.
No, it doesn't. They have a lot of different kinds, local brewers and really some fantastic stuff. I still prefer German beer (if I had to decide), but I think that Amaricans working hard on building up an own brewing tradition. And they are doing a good job.
I enjoy Budweiser thank you very much

American beer is like water. If you take the strongest beer america has it takes 15 hours of nonstop drinking to get a bit drunk.
