  • Love your channel, I am a subscriber and a fan. The Toy video has a link to their website embedded on their video. I want to be able to do the same. I am not a partner. I think their might be some way in Photoshop to embed a url into a photo. I am not sure. Than if I upload the photo in to ms movie maker to create my YouTube videos will the link work? If you know how 2 do this, can you pls show us or tell us. Thanks so much.

  • @wwwaimiecapricecom No, I don't know how to do that. It's an annotation feature that's limited to some accounts, but who gets them and how, I don't know. It's not enabled on this partnered channel nor on my other one.

  • @reelseo Ok well thanks for the prompt feed back. I appreciate it. I really like your work.

  • LOL @ royalty fees....that's a great idea though!

  • @calculatedstepz haha yeah. All they'd have to do is say, "Oh, we already thought of that," and maybe they have, I dunno. :)

  • The ONLY reason Google have removed the friends feature was because they have NO control over it. It was FREE (uncontrollable) promotion and gave too much power to the channels. If Google wants YouTube to become profitable they really couldn't have a free system running at the same time as they are charging 250.000$ for a sponsor channel... While that's good for their business, it's REALLY a problem if you are a small time uploader with no financial interest. From community to commodity. SAD!!!

  • @svinehunden I personally found the friend system to be super-annoying. All "friends" meant to me were, "people I'm giving permission to spam me." I hated it. Friends on YouTube were people who didn't want to subscribe to you and just wanted you to check out their stuff. I always felt that "friends" = spam.

  • @reelseo You are right. It's maybe bad for you but I use YouTube to look at videos for my hobby work. A lot of the channels posting these videos are private and non-topic channels. They post all sort of stuff, which don't have my interest. If I subscribe to these channels, my subscription box would be all messed up and the videos of my interest would slip by without me noticing them. Having them as friends allows them to share the videos with me. Now I can only find them if I search for them...

  • @reelseo You always had the option to decline a friend invite :)

  • @svinehunden Yup, and I usually did unless it was from someone really popular on YouTube or someone I know personally because the chances of them spamming me were low. :)

  • I feel like the Xbox YouTube app is going to be very discouraging for short videos. It seems like it would be a hassle to sift through multiple videos so unless they fix the presentation to showcase new videos, I think they should focus their platform on the free movies, shows, etc that YouTube itself offers.

  • @ImpactAssault That's interesting. I'm not sure how that'll work, but yeah, people are used to more long-form content on their TVs and short-form on their computers. If the short-form will transfer to the TV, I don't know for sure, but I think it will do fine, especially since your "Watch Later" playlist automatically plays each video consecutively. You could hit play and lean back and watch them all, which could be a longer viewing experience.

  • You are subscribed to almost 400 channels? Is mine one of them?

  • @poolboyinla No, I don't think so. A lot of those channels are friends of mine who don't update very often, so it's not really 400 active channels or anything. Probably 100+ active.

  • @reelseo anyone who's asking you to sub to them is old school - get with the program -- did you PIN me yet? ;)

  • @reelseo You are missing out if you aren't subscribed to me. You should stop by and watch some of my videos to see for yourself if it is something you enjoy.

  • hmm, or maybe they fixed the subscribe button, wasn't there when I tested it.

  • @youtubedude Yeah, I dunno, but I remember seeing the subscribe option for videos. Otherwise, that would've been a huge missing feature.

  • The way it is set up now, you can't subscribe to a channel on Xbox. So I've started included my URL's at the end of my videos and now add a watermark, so hopefully whomever see's my content on Xbox (or other non-pc device) can search my username and sub.

  • it's a great app ... but in tha xbox youtube app, you can't see suggestions to the video u are viewing, and search results are a bit rare...

  • @TopwLete Yeah, no suggested videos right now. I'm sure that'll eventually change, though.

  • 4th i think?

  • >paying for advertisements

    Only on Xbox Live.

  • @Zastugueen Yeah, or Hulu Plus.

  • @Zastugueen getting my credit card number stolen and exposed, only on psn

  • 2nd

  • Thanks for the info. I love the idea of watching youtube in my living-room. Hopefully they release an app for the PS3 and other systems down the line as well. Since I make fun of gaming a lot I can only see this as a good thing for my channel.

  • @jonnyethco Should Make A Mad Mad Mario 5

  • @jonnyethco You never used the browser?

  • @nathan0dts The PS3 browser? Yeah but I didn't care for it. I don't have a keyboard hooked up to my ps3 so getting around was kind of a bitch.
