Click Edit Channel, Then Account Settings, then under your avatar picture it says Change. Click on that and upload anything you want.

Ok, maybe this will help:

click Edit channel

where it says my account, scroll down to Account Settings

There will be a collumn that says: Overview, profile preview, customize homepage, etc. and on the opposite side there is a blue link with your name. under that link (don't click it) says: Videos watched, videos uploaded, etc. To the left of that is a picture of your avatar. under that is a blue link titled: Change. Click that and then you can upload a picture.
