  • who is jail? :(

  • Thank God I ve finally got where I can do these again.

  • Man those fucking ausies are tough ey..

  • like another guy said, whoevers talking here should mention to hit the chest hard the farther you should lean foward, for mostly triceps stay stright up and down. Dips are the perfect finish exercise for chest , say right after benchs. Another good one is to say superset incline flys with dips for an awesome pump.

  • The video is good. Nice cehst workout I try this to improve my chest. I do know a link of a site that gives free workout plans and exercises you could follow in order to gain lean muscles and develop a lean muscular look that most of us guys wanted. Youtube won't allow me to post the link but I posted it on my profile. You can check it out there.

  • Interesting

  • Parole time was only 1:41......

  • hes doing tricep dips. lean forward for a chest dip. this hits them both hard tho, aswell as shoulders. i do these every week with 3 45lb plates. arms look huge. chest still has to catch up. only benching 225 X 10

  • hang on, head forward hits chest or tricep, i cant remember, not done dips since 1999. lets hope some one with knowledge replies soon. please ? dd

  • @DoyleProperties Leaning forward will make you hit your chest better, although you will always hit triceps aswell during this excercise. Best regards.

  • thanks for the video, i never thought of putting legs forward, i knew leaning head forward hits the tricep more, but i never sussed out to overload the chest. next time & go to gym, this will be my core exercise for the next 6 weeks, this way, i know it will directly result, in a result, or if anything, i do tricep on chest day anyway, so its a win win situ. all the best. dd

  • Dips have always been a chest exercise.

  • lolz

  • yeah right immediate chest result with triceps dips, get real

  • @exevah youre so ignorant dude dips work your chest as well as triceps...look it up

  • Anyone know where I can get a routine using the dip/pullup/pushup machine? I own one, but no clue on a routine thats effective. Any help appreciated thanks!

  • i cant even imagine how many teenager ppl think they can develop good chest(immediately) just by doing dips ∞rep x ∞sets.

  • it's more a triceps workout rather than a chest one

  • @andreyz94 you are right, it does work your triceps but the main muscle it works is the lower chest. The tricep is a supporting muscle just like it is in most chest exercises. If you don't agree, find Arnies work outs, he does them for lower chest and you can't argue with him :P :)

  • damn i need this

  • I can only do 5 dips with my legs horizontally, thats harder than puting ur legs infront of u.

  • @TheMisterRedonkulis its cause you're using more of your triceps when you put your legs back. when you put your legs forward, you're shifting your weight forward as well as leaning forward, causing you to use more of your chest

  • @TheRealMattTorres thanks i didnt know why they were harder, now i know

  • @TheMisterRedonkulis because you use your chest muscles then as well

  • @kartaoniks is it ok or better to do dips with my legs horizontally

  • @TheMisterRedonkulis its okay to use that form as well buddy , but do them both to increase strenght and musclemass :}

  • Great video. Showing how to position your feet forward. Most don't realise that it takes the work off your back and puts it more on your chest when you shift your feet forward.

  • is that in jail wtf????????????

  • building mass within thirty days is possible

  • that is a great piece of advice. i have never seen anybody in my gym do dips that way with feet out front. Definitely going to try it next chest workout

  • What is the name of the paint colour. i want to paint my toilet that colour.

  • i like the technique

  • that's why they may use creatine and other sustances......to compensate for the lack of real workout....

any way it is my opinion and the way I do it...FULL RANGE MOTIONS...ALL THE WAY UP AND DOWN AND SLOW...DIPS, CHIN UPS, PUISH UPS AND SQUATS....

  • Go all the way DOWN.....half way is not really a DIP....full motion

  • @bajobaritonoAH You are not meant to with dips, you can tear your pec with it joins to the sternum...

  • @ThomasWinkworth I do full motion dips / did get sore at the beginning.....(my muscles and joints are getting stronger..so, I do even more..full range motions dips)...

the same as the squats "experts" says..do not go beyond the parallel line...that put too much pressure on your joints....THOSE ARE EXCUSES...TO AVOID A REAL / HARD WORKOUT...those guys doing "HALF WAY FAST MOVING DIPS, SAQUATS, CHIN UPS, PUSH UPS)...are doing CHICKEN WORKOUTS / MY OPINION

  • @bajobaritonoAH Full range of motion during this exercise has been known to damage the tendon which attaches the pectoral muscle to the sternum. Most bodybuilder's at my gym don't do full range of motion dips for this reason. Infact most stay completely away from dips because it gives them pain, and messes up their routine.

  • @ThomasWinkworth Dips are a good exercise tho everyone needs to avoid Bench Dips it often causes Shoulder Impingement Syndrome.

  • this looks like a tricep work out

  • @Ksixstring What's awesome is that it's both, like he said, if you adjust your legs it can be more focused on chest. Normally you can also adjust the bars he is holding onto - narrower means more tricep and more outside is chest.

  • @Ksixstring works the chest and triceps

  • i didnt have a chest till i discovered dips...........

  • guys i do chest and biceps same day.. for chest i do 3 excersises: barbell bench press, incline dumbbell flyes, and wide grip dips. Biceps I do 2: Barbell curls and dumbell curls. All 3 sets and 8 reps... is that enough for an advanced workout? Cause I used to do 9 workouts for chest and 5 for biceps, and everybody tells me that it's alot "it will weaken and over-stress ur muscles, u'll nvr build up" I've been goin for the gym for 4months.. no results, just now changed to this routine

  • Straight up prison setting. Probably somewhere in Ca. Probably county.

  • is this jail?

  • @DuDe1040 LMFAO

  • @DuDe1040 its australia, the whole countries a jail o.O

  • @draicula LOL!!

  • @draicula thats why austrailians love to travels

  • @draicula You clearly havent been to Australia.

By the way America is $14 Trillion in debt.

  • @GuitaristJesse2442 Clearly YOU havent been to Australia because you lack the sense of humor. Im a New Zealander and have visited Australia multiple times. Clealy i was making a reference to the fact Australia USED to be prison, it was a joke, it was meant to be funny but go ahead and take it seriously, lifes serious business afterall o.O

  • @draicula What as far as i've heard, Australia's a great country! Are you exaggerating?

  • @draicula U WANNA FUCKING GO ME CUNT. WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT?

  • @viGiLantiSniping tuck your e cock back into your pants. "Go me cunt" isnt even proper english, maybe you should pay for some English lessons first before you pay your internet bill. On top of that its a JOKE, did you absolutely miss the part where I said that simply because you wanted to act like an e thug behind your computer desk at home? GTFO im moving to melbourne in July, and I currently have many relatives living over there, it was a joke, LIGHTEN, THE FUCK, UP.

  • @draicula well, I obviously didn't know you were joking, but still, pretty unneccessary.

  • @viGiLantiSniping right...comedy is unneccessary, well excuse me for trying to put a smile on a few faces.

  • @viGiLantiSniping lol you over reacted hardcore hahaha and you do know that other than the natives that lived there the first whites were prisoners... it was litterally a prison island.

  • @draicula LOL LOL

  • @draicula LMAO hahahahaha

  • @draicula ... 153 people have never been to Australia... it's paradise!

  • @NMWMN i know but it was supposed to be a prisoner's land

  • @jorrito24 ... the white slavery was just the beginning... if you were 15 years old then you were accused of any old crime and sent away to the colony to have your brains fucked out as in a 'baby factory' arrangement. Stealing a loaf of bread... begging for money... saying 'NO' to anyone of greater authority than yourself - you were put in chains, loaded onto a ship and sent off for a life of horror!!! Today it is the most successful political, social and economic culture in the world! AMAZING!

  • @draicula mate where you from?

  • @DuDe1040 hahahah

  • @DuDe1040 thought the same thing haha

  • @DuDe1040 Its a gay club called the billa bong!!!!

  • @omfggoogle rather than billa bong, should it be the bigger dong?

  • @DuDe1040 what a funny ass comment

  • @DuDe1040 lol hahahaha i think it's his attic

  • what is more important with the chets dip than leaning farward is a wide grip where the close girp is more for triceps.

  • im confused on which way you should do reps... for instance.. should i start by doing 6-8 reps the first day of chest then the second day of chest ( after recover) should i do 10-12 reps? or should i start at 10-12 then work down to 6-8? and also should you work one part of the chest at a time or work the whole chest each chest day? thank you

  • this workout is primarily for triceps, secondarily chest. so i don't quite agree that it's the best chest workout :/

  • @thx137 I've found that if you lean forward, and have a wider grip - you don't even feel it in your triceps. Try it out hey, your chest will be super sore the next day. I am definately going to try out the legs thing in this video.

  • @TheChilliT

    Thanks, i'll try that ;)

  • he went to jail for killing that form. (good form)

  • immediate results, thats the most stupid thing I've read today

  • @Stupidxxxx ikr

  • @ronyboy40 which makes think the rest is bullpoop too

  • LOL why does it look like he workn out in a jail cell?

  • This exersise definitely has help my chest a lot more that doing bench press and countless push ups.

  • im 15 , can i build my body ?

  • @fhl96 sure, bodybuilding takes years.. better starts from now, stay natural until 20.. ;) good luck..!!

  • @deepakjindal070 is it really okay ?is my growth won't stunted?

  • @fhl96 yes, do bodyweight exercises for a year then start hitting the weights.

  • Thought this was triceps as well...

  • @helprulez It is if you do it with your torso perfectly straight, but this variation hits the chest more. Excellent exercise.

  • This works your quads

  • They sure do give inmates more tools to break out with these days.... I guess they don't want to pay the food prices for the inmates with the current economy.

  • @soccerboys14 Unless you work in a prison, you don't know what you are talking about. Stick to the dumbbells.

  • this actualy works?

  • @XTheXDrumerX Yes, I do it 3 sets till failure, (try for 15), if you just now start doing it and add it to your routine you will feel it the next day! haha

  • @13bsbll24 thank you very much ;)

  • this actualy works?

  • "Ok guys, next we're gonna show ya how to make a shank out of toilet paper and saliva" LOL! Seriously dude is in JAIL! wow....

  • Ok, now, the feet leaning forward is just hardcore

  • in my opinion dips are the best chest exercise with the incline bench

  • @oehmes999 they definitely make you feel the burn, they are such a great excersise

  • hes reppin cell block c

  • This exercise actually works..It gave my lower chest quick result..Its better than decline. Anyhow..people who obligate this only works your tricep..they're wrong this works your chest and your tricep....try doin' it correctly and feel the impact right in the middle of your chest. Whenever I hit the gym after chin-up I do parallel bars..gives your chest more definition. Good luck. And STOP hating this

  • Being in prison is awesome

  • it has to be a jail the window has skiny bars in front of it

  • This is not good for his shoulders the way he's going down like that.

  • This is a secret training location for overweight people in Australia, it's a prison for fat people! And as you can see it works.

  • lmfao what a fail how the hell did the jail guards allow cameras in there

  • triceps

  • this is for ur triceps...........is he fool??

  • @chetlangia it works both more of the chest though

  • dips are a fantastic eckersize

  • dips with your legs back hits the front delt more than the chest

  • dude if you do dips they work your lower chest dumb asses don't comment saying something you don't know.

  • To sum up:

    1. Rob a bank and go to jail so you can use a gym for free.

    2. Exercise every day for 5 years.

    3. Get out of the prison and buy gym-equipment for your saved money.

  • Dips don't work the chest, they work the triceps as it is an isolative move focussing on the triceps. This video is incorrect!

  • @bubblebox09 , you are wrong... if u lean forward it works your pecs.. research first dickhead.

  • @bubblebox09 no it doesnt you think you could press you whole body weight up only using a muscle that small?? i didnt think so look on bodybuilding . com and there is a list of muscles it uses

  • sound like a pilot

  • daca esti Senol din Ramnicu-Sarat sa ma sugi de pula

  • Great vid. Great gym... that is how a gym looks!!!

  • Great video. Very informative.

  • don't drope the soap

  • thats some mad strength

  • i thought dips were mostly for triceps?i could be wrong.

  • @eddien21 if you lean into it more it works your chest but if you are strict is mostly triceps

  • @eddien21 ya dude, close grip dips are for triceps, but wide grip is for chest, works really well on stretching the chest vertically, and imo works better than the chest pullovers...

  • wow, at all he is very strong, I tried that and its VERY hard...

  • lets say my weight is 90 kg. If I can perform 10 dips, does that mean that I can do 10 reps on bench press with the same weights? I think it should be like that, cause both exercises are using same group of muscles . . .

  • @bosskecar1 dont be retarded

  • @bosskecar1

same muscles, different exercises. that's like saying if I can do 90 kg of lat pull downs I should be able to do 10 pull ups.

  • @okigrow Don't know if thats true, I dont think I can do 90kg lat pull downs but I can do 19 pull ups, chin ups are much easier though.

  • Nice exercises! I found some more here:

    bit. ly / proworkout

    Really good Program!

  • what kind of chest exercise should i do for flat chest no big chest?

  • @prangas333 high reps with a lower weight

  • woowo that place is really depresing.. I would dont feel like working out there..

  • Wait...this sounds like MYSPACESECRETS? Is that you? You're an expert at Exercise, in addition to the Stock Market?

  • its more a tricep Workout but the chest get it to

  • mama mayre chudi

  • its a great excersize along with chin ups it gives very impressive results

  • Guys I've been Working out for 4 months straight And Do alot harder Stuff then this for my body and I didnt notice much Results in a month or so its a load of bullshit you have to train hard for years or a year to look some what like this and Have to eat very diffrently depends on what you are like a ectomorph,Metamorph all that crap Research it and then eat the way your so post to and You will see results faster.

  • @xxzipitxx 80% of the results u gain from training lays in your food, if you don't eat right, it doesn't matter how much or hard u train.

  • @blondiwithstyle thumbs up very true, also sleeping its needed

  • @Screamersmusic Yeap, since sleep recovers your body (going from the fact that you're not hungry when you go to bed) you can endure more heavy training :)

  • @blondiwithstyle what is the best meal or meals you need to eat then>?

  • @codymurdoch1 I'ma type a list of what the diff things do, then you make your own meal :)

Carbohydrates = Fills up your energy stack and recovers your muscles/fatigue.

Protein = Helps your muscles to build up stronger then they were before, considering that you're actually training aswell. And if you have an excess of protein it will protect your joints.

Fat = The body's second energy stack, can also be converted to the primary if you get ur body used to little carbo and more fat intake.

  • @codymurdoch1 a good way to eat is to eat a LOT. Though when I saw a lot, I mean lots of good food for you. 3-5 solid meals a day with protein along with your normal exercises. you have to eat until you get to your really full point, where you can't eat anymore, then eat just a little more until you gain enough weight. After that, change your diet to a diet of PURELY protein and vegetables with no carbs. This will allow you to burn off the fat you gained while building muscle but keep the muscle

  • @codymurdoch1 oh, i forgot to mention that you can also eat some slow burning carbs right when you go to bed so your metabolism keeps running through the night, thus burning more fat. a good example of a slow burning carb is cottage cheese

  • @recklessfire258

you mean cottage cheese is a slow digesting protein, called casein

  • I am just now looking into weight training, however I do not have the chest strength to do these dips, so what can I do to?

  • push-up my friend...

    oooo-raaaa

  • Muscle Confusion is a TV gimmick to sell you stuff. Muscle fibers and spindles only contract one way...no matter how you hit them. It's all about progressive overload, periodization, diet, commitment. During the first 2-3 months your gains will all be neurologically based.

  • its not muscle confusion like you said. But by saying muscle confusion its an easier way then to explain about stressing the muscles. When we do the same exercise our bodies adapt and therefore are not stressed and dont get anymore benefits. Thats why they say muscle confusion because you are doing something the body isnt used to

  • @complimentsheck hey if i were to do the same exercises but increase the weight every 2 weeks does that keep the muscle growing or will i just plateau

  • dont dips ONLY work your triceps?

iv always thought that it only worked those but recently alot of people are saying that it works your lower chest too

has anyone tried this and gotten all sore in their lower chest the next day?

  • @IHATELOZERZ the more you lean to the front the more work on the chest muscles, that's why when putting your feet in front it forces the body to lean...kinda the same angle as an incline (60 to 45 degree angle). It's a compound movement for sure. keeping straight will work more triceps. I agree with "zoomorphicrap", it's difficult and takes a lot of arm strength to introduce to a regular workout

  • Hmm.. i see what you mean with the leaning forward. I'll be sure to try this out

Been looking for a lower chest workout that can help really define the lower chest line

  • No they don't only work your triceps. They hit your shoulders, and lower chest. It also depends on the angle you're doing them at.

  • Being sore is not a good indicator of muscle stimulation.

  • what is it a sign of then?

  • DOMS (or delayed-onset muscle soreness) is a response from your anti-inflammatory system. DOMS set in because of the lack of muscular conditioning and because the pro-inflammatory response system that's triggered by exercise is over-active and not adjusted to their training volume. It DOES NOT EQUAL PROTEIN SYNTHESIS (the building of muscle tissue). It's merely a way your body's reaction to un-recognized training volume or intensity.

  • This is why when you switch from one workout regime to another workout regime (with different training philosophy's), you will experience DOMS.

  • how do you know if you achieve protein synthesis?

  • The only way to know for sure is to execute a training regime for at least 6 weeks and see if any results appear. If not, chances are you have not experience any protein synthesis. However, there are other factors such as diet and lifestyle that can also affect the outcome.

    To sum it all up:

    Results=Protein Synthesis

  • @punanibuzzed YOu live....

  • it works your triceps, chest, shoulders.. these are the muscles that are being under the most pressure while doing this exercise. then comes all the upper body workout)) arms, even a bit of your back.

btw. it depends on how you do it.

  • @IHATELOZERZ I have, in addition i get a great pump at the gym when i do them. Remember to lean forward. At first i use to think it was just for triceps...when i use to do them with my bodyweight. Now that i can straps on dumbbells i see the difference in the thickness of my chest. It's really massive now, so hope this helps.

  • @Salamandria23 i could only do 3 dips with legs forward shits hard. will this give me faster results? thanks in advance for any reply bro...

  • When I introduced dips into my regular routine 5 sets of 5 were about all I could achieve. Less that a year later, my warmup is 4 sets of 10 WITH a backback with 20 lbs in it. Between this and pullups, there is no more efficient a strength builder.

  • completely agree. When i tried to this first time i could do-1.just one.year after that i could do 25 without some major problems.Great strenght exercise, works triceps better than anything else, and also pretty good 4 lower chest

  • This is one of the greatest chest workouts immaginable, but it requires a tremendous amount of arm strength. You hafta train before you can put this one into your routine.

  • did this today! my chest was actually burning lol great workout

  • my favourite chest workout

  • where on your chest do dips work?

  • Comment removed

  • lower part

  • dips do ur tris aswell

  • this is damn hard
