  • I have mostly all of 4 and up.....

  • I see myself in numbers 2, 4, 5, and 7.

  • I'm a "caroll"

  • Comment removed

  • This is just covering different types of human beings, I don't really think it has much to do with autism.

  • not all the aspies have very high IQ, you don't know it correctly!!!

  • is any of this real?>

  • im 1 2 3 4 5 7 into one?

  • I am of most of those types all but 1 and 6, I am shy, like relationships but cant make them, not very talkative, bad memory, has a few obsessions, Extreme fear of loud noise making me hostile, the list goes on and on

  • I'm a combination of the Einstein, Powell, and Moressey type. o:

  • I'm the Einstein type but then I hav a lot of fits I lack social skills I am below average in reading and well below in writing. I'm very good at maths, science and computer science

  • yeah right and here in greece a well known writer rafailides probably had aspergers.should there be a rafailides type?(loving marxism, cinema, eating smoking alot and great sense of humour)or in italy or germany if there are famous aspies there?

  • these qualities can really be describing any random person

  • copyrighted symptoms? how ridiculous

  • Makes sense, these personality types. I'm mostly the Carroll type (7).

Also, the music is extremely pleasant to my senses. The only part of it that I can see as unpleasant would be the quality... the static. But I think the person who wrote it is a synesthete. There is no other explanation as to why it causes such an experience for me.

  • aspergers its not just for breakfast anymore.

  • I call bullshit.

  • @roninprogram lets see no friends angry criticizing hmmm me thinks thou doth protest 2 much!

  • @PhilMyBod41 Or maybe I'm just someone with Asperger Syndrome.

  • I find the background music very disturbing..

  • i can't believe it took this long for me to see this video. it's great that you have presented different manifestations of ASD without all the stereotyping most others try to say every aspie must be like. i'm actually a cross between several of those types and don't usually fit the stereotypical definition, altho i'm dx'd. well done!

  • Dear Amy Nellson one cannot copyright the English language. Putting words together id how we spaek to each other. Copyright fattony252

  • ASS BURGER

  • looking into things as deeply as i do ruins my life. it kills imagination and fun, because looking this deep reveals the truth, and the truth is never as good as the basic view. i would trade intelligence away to be regular in a heartbeat.

  • cmon people we all cant be einsteins stop lying to yourselves!!!!

  • I have the Einstein, Nunman, and Nicholas type or 2,4,6. I am very proud to have it because I love being an Aspie.

  • I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at 12 years old & had nobody that I actually knew at the time being diagnosed with it so I admit that I in fact did feel alone. I've noticed that I'm a mix of Einstein, Numan, and Morrissey types. This was well-written,but the music made my roommate get rather sleepy. LOL!

  • @iristhevampiress the thing about as is you can be in a room full of people and feel very alone as sucks!

  • OH GOD MY EARS.

Something about this video screamed "astrology substitute" I don't know why...

  • aspergers is no gift it lets you plainly see people how they really are backstabbing and ass kissing.and things like christianity it just doesent exist the constant anger and rage if any body wants my gift they can have it...

  • @PhilMyBod41 god i love seeing people that feel how i do.

  • @ryancrules623 lol yes were 2 of a kind lol it is interesting meeting other likeminded intelligent people glad to know ya...

  • @PhilMyBod41

Ey, guys i'm Exactly the same. Didn't think there were any other people like me... Do you think it's because of AS?

  • @PhilMyBod4 im pretty sure ive got it, i cant hold down a job very well at all usually and im 21 i cant communicate to colleagues at all well. Its like a huge brick in front of my face that stops me from getting across my point in an accepted way. So usually i dont say much to unknown people

  • why is it people who make as videos start out ok but then ramble on about personal issues???? if you truly have aspergers the last thing you want is to be noticed.there are very few people on youtube that truly have it anybody can go to a dr to get dxed for the right price meanwhile making it harder for people who truly suffer!!!!!!!

  • @PhilMyBod41

Being obnoxious is a personal choice, having Aspergers Syndrome is something one is born with. Why should people be ashamed of something they cannot do anything about?

Being aware of such a condition is helpful in many ways, especially finding ways to cope with ones shortcomings. It's easier to patch a known problem than an unknown one.

  • @Orkaney i was speaking my godamn mind voicing a lot of peoples opinions and i have aspergers!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @PhilMyBod41

You have your behavioural pattern caused by your Autism spectrum, I have mine. I'm pedantic, insensitive, slow and rigid as well as narrow-minded. We both have issues with people being dishonest.

It's like being gay, male, short, or born in a nice country. It's not something you choose, it has nothing to do with pride.

You voiced your opinion, I opposed it.

  • I think there are types like this. But this music is horrifyingly bad and really hurts my ears, please change it!! Thanks

  • smoke weed and you might be able to get the stick out of your asses

  • How would you know if a person has Aspergers undiagnosed?

  • im going to go 1 step further i think aspergers should be abolished as a dissorder and replaced with personality dissorder and leave it at that too many designer ailments coming down the pike its time we took responsability for ourselves and stop wallowing in aspergers and related ailments what im trying to say is this your a person any ailment does not represent who you are dont let it i almost did im going to git off my ass and become sombody not wallow in my impairment!

  • @PhilMyBod41 whos wallowing i dont i love everyone ...so its fine....j

  • wow now everybody has aspergers and all of them are einsteins i never thought it would be fashionable to have a mental deficit! by the way im a powel and probably the only person honest about aspergers IT IS A NIGHTMARE DISEASE NOT A GIFT A DEFICIT IS IT HELPFUL TO NOT BE SOCIAL? IS IT HELPFUL TO WANT TO KICK EVERYONES ASS? WHAT GOOD DOES BEING INTELLIGENT DO WHEN YOU CANT EVEN TIE YOUR OWN SHOES IF GIVEN THE CHOICE I WOULD HAVE RATHER BEEN IGNORANT

  • i got a lady to look at this vid she has a granson who is an aspie.she said your just like my granson like you are the same, ive done some tests i got aspie 3 times i took the test 3 times, went to a shool for children who are a bit crazy,in the 70,s,,if it walks like a duck quacks like a duck, guess what ,,its a foxtroting duck......jeff

  • thats funny i fit some of all of these..jeff

  • This is great Amy! You broke it down into different types. It's not one size fits all! Thanks again, Crazy Bob. (PS, the music was a little annoying to my sensitive ears. LOL.)

  • Music driving me nuts!!!!

  • everyone acts like its the bomb to have this dissorder people its a mental deficit were not souped up human beings we are social retards once you get this you will be able to get on with your lives if einstein had this he was just at the right place at the right time dont fool yourselves...

  • @PhilMyBod41: Look up "Autistic Phenotype". And read my comments below.

Also, define "social". The majority of people walking the face of this Earth are not human, and worse, they consume and release toxins that are deliterious to OUR children's developement and causing sensory issues.

  • @chrisaira: We have been in that sort of relationship since the beginning.

For centuries we have basically been the "stool masons" for these gangsters and their incorigiable slaves who they raise us with in the same neighborhoods and classrooms, our technical contributions going to supporting the very "people" who dispise us from an instinctual gut-level.

  • Are you saying that just about EVERYONE falls sowhere on the specrum?? How is this gonna help anyone??

  • All you did was describe all of the possible characteristics of any person!

  • I have aspergers and i dont feel like i am any of these types.

  • I like this video because it refutes the common misconception that Asperger is easy to identify... People often are surprised when I tell them that I have Asperger and tell me that "I am very highly functional" and they barely did notice, if they believe me at all.. the fact is that i have trained for years in order to be able to interact with others without being intimidated, i had to train hard not to be violent, agressive or offensive and to be seen as friendly and funny

  • you made this to annoy aspies, right?

  • sorry, but it seems 99 percent of all people could fit one of the "types" listed here. I also think someone with Asperger's would run screaming from the loud, irritating music in this video.

  • @petele345 that's probably the point- that AS people can have any personality or a combination of different traits, the way a NT people do, but the traits might manifest themselves a little differently, since the Asperger's or autism is also there

  • Interesting concept. I think it could do without the comorbid diagnoses, and the drug reference, for those shouldn't be too relevant to personality. With those gone, you would have filled a clever void, in personality types.

  • some of us even fall between these lines...

  • Thanks for deafening me. The music is way too loud.

  • what is the deal with ev 1 saying they have einstein type? not all of us can be einstein and for gods sake kits a dissability not ABILITY the few crummy things we can do doesent outweigh the misery we go through!!!FUCK YOU HGOD!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Where, exactly, are you getting your information? I've never heard of these aspergers types anywhere exept on this one video, and I've been studying the subject for a while.

  • I have Asperger's and none of these really describe me very well. I don't seem to fit anywhere.

  • Comment removed

  • I'd say that al of these types could apply to the 6.5 billion people on earth in some form or another.

  • if your autistic better to be a powel type than a brainy punching bag!

  • I might be a Spielberg and an Einstein type. I am pretty social, talk with other people, have facial expressions and body language to a certain extent. I also like to have fun with people, but I am also an Einstein type. Good at computers, have a high IQ, have good grammar and spelling, mainly in Dutch (native tongue) but also in English, Esperanto and German. These other languages I speak fluently.

  • Im actually between a Carrol and Morrissey type.

Fairly good video, thank you for posting...

    Kimmyskunk

  • i'm the Einstein and Caroll types for sure. That was amusing. Yes i do have AS.

  • I'm definitely Einstein! HAHAHA =)

  • I have a lot of traits from Einstein, Numan, Morrissey, Nicholls, and Caroll. However, I have slight traits from Powell, and Warhol.

  • Actually, scratch that.

Type Carroll. >_> But since there isn't a delete option. O-O

  • I consider myself to be a Morrissey type; that one fits me the best.

  • my brother is autistic, so I mean no disrespect to this video, but I feel that 95% of people who watch this could diagnose themselves as having aspergers (a certain type)

  • I seem to fit the #5 #6 personalities the most.

  • Could you provide your sources for this information?

  • I'm Powell, Newman, and Carrol... Def neurotic more than intelligent.

    What is this song???

  • I think I'm a combination of Morrisey and Carrol.

  • powell all the way!!!

  • I am most like Einstein type... perhaps with a bit of Warhol thrown in. No wonder I'm such a pleasure to be around.

  • Numan & Morrissey 4 me

  • What an odd idea. See normally you'd be labelled as paranoid or schizo by having such an unusual idea but I think it shows creativity and imagination. Anyway, what are anyones expectations of the future if not imagination?

  • Morrisey, Powell and Numan.

I have 2 friends who give the impression of being AS, specifically the Einstein and Nicholls types. I think autistics prefer each other's company. I have alot of unusual beliefs about reality (which is one of the reasons I was called 'autistic') but I think some AS people are not of this world. When you look at the AS and then at what is considered 'normal' and 'healthy', you notice how very rigid and unsophisticated society is. We're just ahead of the curve.

  • @NotQuiteLucid: "I think autistics prefer each other's company". Though there have been a few within our community who say otherwise, I do agree with that.

And being "social" shouldn't have to mean hanging out and talking about the weather or the latest celebrity antics nor shouldn't we be labeled "a-social" just because we rather interract with moderation on REAL issues that actually matter (in-between long periods of study, naturally).

  • I don't know if it has been asked before, but what is the song in this video called?

  • I am nearest to " Numan" and " Carroll" types.

The exception is, that I turn on the taps quite easily, when I am upset, even though I hate it, when this happens.

  • When I was little, my math and spelling skills were off the charts and I was bullied a lot; recess was hell for me sometimes.

  • It makes me angry that not everyone in this world in autistic. If the entire human race were autistic, earthly comprehension can't begin to grasp how much more beautiful the world would be. And you're right: I am an NT therefore I will probably never understand what it's like to be in your shoes. But just the mere fact that there are NT's in this world (and that I am an NT) has driven me to contemplating suicide. Why can't everyone have the infinitely beautiful gift of autism? It's not fair.

  • @porkchopenvy Are you being serious? I can't tell...

  • @motleyprism Well, I wrote that comment a long time ago so I don't remember alot of the state of mind I was in at the time, but at the time I wrote it I probably was being serious because the truth of all the bullying and stuff from NT's was just piling up in me and it just made me so angry.

  • I feel like I am more of Numan and Morrissey....

  • Neuman without the bi-polar, Morrissey without the schizo...and a tad of the Nichols...moreso when i was younger :")

  • Comment removed

  • i'm autistic and i have a numan type, morrissey type, and carroll type. I have 3 of them! how surprising! I'm very shy and quiet. I almost never really talked to people, when i was 2 years old, i was mute and my parents think i'm retarded or something so, they decided to take me to the doctor to see whats wrong with me. The doctor said that i have autism. When i was 2 years old, i started drawing and i think also painting. My parents saw me drawing and they were very surprised and shocked.(cont.)

  • When i was 5 years old, my mom and i went to an art class with kids that are the same age as me and i used oil pastels to draw my artwork. I drew 3 ballons in the evening sky landscape with grass. Everybody was so amazed by my talent and me and my mom kept the artwork and put it on the wall. The art class was free. (cont.)

  • I have a special ability that are drawing, painting, and also puzzling. When I was little, I played with the most challenging puzzles that are 150 and over and i put all together in a heartbeat like really quickly with no confusion. In high school, i was very shy and quiet also i was a loner in school but, i didn't get bullied. It was a great school and its small like a private school but, its a charder school. My passion is being an artist (well, i'm artist already!). I'm a daydreamer. (cont.)

  • I'm a daydreamer and I always dream of fantasies that are kind of bizzare. I have a really big imagination it feels like another world out there but, its all in my head or mind...i'm just a weird girl with big ass imagination going on inside my head. I'm always very calm and very sweet and i rarely get angry or wild. i'm a good girl. People think i'm a weirdo for not giving them eye contact and i hate getting in groups with students in each of my classes because i'm get nervous around people.

  • I'm in college by the way. My major is Art and i always and will take art classes. People look at me as a nobody and they think i'm useless but, i'm not. I could do almost anything with my hands that are drawing and painting. I'm very unique and i'm quite mysterious. Okay, thats all i have to type for today.

  • my whole life ive trained with weights and i love boxing.now i know why i wanted revenge for things done 20 odd years ago.i guess being powel is better than being a pushover lol...

  • Oh, I've heard of this before. I forget where.

I am very Numan, Morrissey, and Einstein.

  • I'm a little numan but mostly carroll. My main hobby is digital photography but find it extremely difficult to take photos when there are other people around. I spend most of my time wanting to be alone somewhere.

  • i'm definately einstein, numan, and carroll, but i have only one or two of the warhol type, because i like to talk to myself when i'm alone, and i get pissed off when people tell me i'm not good enough.

  • I am a mix between Carroll and Numan, maybe a little Morrissey. ( :

  • I have multiple types of Aspergers too. It just accrued to me that Matilda might have Aspergers as well.

    ~Midna

  • im einstein and carroll type

  • I am an Einstein, but I don't despise un-intelligent people....

  • I'm an Aspie and this video was very helpful, even if, of course, these are just general characteristics. Anyway, I'm definitely a Carroll type, but also quite Numan and even Morrissey...

  • Im a speilberg/morrissey mix =P

  • I am definitely a mixture of the Numan, Morissey and Nicholls types.

  • cool, whatz the name of the song plz? itz awesome

  • im number 3 - i have aspergers and borderline personality disorder :((

  • I am mostly an einstein type(but i don't mind talking to unintelligent people) but i'm also creative and i like to dream about being something else other than what i am like an animal or most commonly a jedi knight.

  • Only extremes can be classified within whatever is explained in this video. Many people have a mix of all what is in here including myself.

  • Same here. people like Mick0las. posted a comment here to me and I deleted, because he really doesn't know what it's like to be in our shoes. People like that, we need to ignore and let God deal with them, one on one.

  • I think I may have a combo of any of them, but not full blown, unless other wise.

  • That may not always be the case, but I can understand that your feeling this way, which is understandable.

  • Finally a youtube video about autism that is not crap.

  • Comment removed

  • This vid doesn't help because anybody, including those who is neither autistic nor AS, could fall on either one of the types or combo of them. In other words, everybody could find the type(s) similar to her own.

  • The one thing that does make a big difference is to get themselves tested and diagnosed for it, which I did in 2003, when I was 19. I have lived with it all my life to know that and have done something about it, with something called music and stuck with it ever since and now a College Grad. Being autistic, is so much more than what people will ever know.

  • I think my sister is a mix of Nicholls and Warhol...does that seem possible?

  • I know this sounds sort of of off topic, but what is this song called? Please respond.......!

  • It's a good vid with accurate descriptions of AS in general, but I actually display aspects from every one of these except Carroll. I don't think these "personalities" can really be separated in any meaningful way. All it does is take very common traits that many people with AS have and separate them into categories for no apparent reason.

  • I don't like this video. You may have meant well, but it makes me feel as if we are to be segregated. I wish I was an alien...at least it'd make sense.

  • Wait, good video.. but everyone falls somewhere on a spectrum... that is what makes it a a spectrum? Its like a rating scale of "autisticness" even a "normal" person would get a point on a spectrum.... The second one seems like NPD.... Most of these seem like other totally different disorders.... I may be wrong but this seems slightly off.

  • @bineuralboy : You're assuming that there is an absolute zero, a 'non-autistic' level that can only be approached asymptotically by non-autistic people. There's no reason why zero cannot be achieved, though.

  • I have problems with this. I fall within at least the four middle-ones (Einstein, Powel, Numan and Moressey), I am certainly intellectual, aggressive, feel a special bond to my place in history and I generally think NTs to be irrational, impulsive and generally self-destructive and am rarely suprised when I have to pick a fight with them.

Basically... I do not think there is a specific "type".

  • What the hell? This video is a load of f***ing bulls*** stereotypes. I'm all those except for the first one, and I have no autism whatsoever. People with autism are extreme tantrum-throwers and have no friends. THAT's the one thing in this video that's essential for the video to have any purpose whatsoever.

    1/5

  • Retard. For a high and mighty NT you really need to grow the f*ck up and get over yourself. It's a list specifically for people who ARE aspies to help them feel less isolated, jackass. It's not perfect, but the concept is interesting and the message is a good one. Not all aspies are violent, but that doesn't make their disorder and less valid than someone who destroys things every day. If you can't understand what this video is trying to say then you shouldn't be commenting on it.

  • I find it funny that you use the word "retard" on a video about people who have mental disorders.

  • you don't know how it feels, loser!!! F** off!

  • Kingcobra you make a good point about the usage of the word "retard" in the previous message I am on the autism spectrum and can unabashedly and honestly tell you that some autistics have trouble thinking on their feet perhaps but on the other hand you can't just write something that could potentially upset and/or hurt someone else

  • In your perspective it may hurt people's feelings. But in my perspective I'm just expressing my opinion. You see, the biggest influence in life is perspective.

  • Well you're right about that. However then the puzzle is to figure if one perspective is potentially inferior to another one perhaps no? (never mind my no at the end of this it is just for emphasis if you get my meaning)

  • But in a different perspective, those perspectives considerd "inferior" could be superior.

    Perspective wins once again.

  • all right then so I take your words as allowing the individual a little of give and take regarding perspective .....if this statement makes sense

  • 2;05 wtf? I thought that bipolar was a kind of STD

  • @Kingcobrasaurus Well, aren't you smart? You can't even tell the difference between an S.T.D and a mental disorder. Lol!! You don't know anything about anything. Why did you even comment this video?? You fail. All you did was make your self look like a stupid prick. I hope you're happy. Please, go kill your self so we can rid the world of one more stupid person. Thank you.

  • @JWADDMollieVideos It was a joke. -_-

  • this is b/s im basically all of these types.....either im fked up or maybe i was dropped to many times...except im 50/50 w/ 1 and 7

  • Numan and Nicholls -

Not being able to keep friends, sustain relationships, is really frustrating. Not that it should be hard, I just stop making any effort whatsoever.

  • I'm an Einstein, with bits of Powell, Nichols, and Warhol! Self-diagnosed Aspie.

  • coolish music but i think those can apply to tons of people, not just people with autism

  • I am a Powell (very strongly) with some Einstein and Morrisey,

  • For me, I'm a combo of Numan and Morrisey =]

  • I never knew there were different types

I think number 4 sounds more like me (:

  • I'm a cross between an Einstein and a Numan.

  • By virtue of this videos descriptions, id say everyone on earth is on the spectrum. Too broad.

  • Wheres tyhe sound?? ples fix?

  • Im a Jack type its basically where I randomly grow two heads and start dancing around........WHAT?? Not normal enough? I gotta say if this is the sort of mine field neurotypical people are going to have to dodge then we all have aspergers.... Otherwise Im a very grumpy 10 year old thankya thankya very much!

  • I'm Einstein/Carroll. Like Carroll, I'm also a stammerer.

    I feel I get on everyone's nerves, but I don't mean to. :(

  • Most of the text is split up and put onto different 'slides', can't it be displayed paragraph by paragraph?

  • I am a combination of these types and have most of the traits (some I don't have but otherwise I just about fit the types I think:

    Powell

    Warhol

    Numan

    Einstein

    Morrissey

And what was with the annoying music and the poor text color/background combination?

  • morrisey, numan, carroll is me to a tee...

  • eistine was dyslexic

  • NOW: numan and carroll

    BEFORE: powell

  • Im the world of warcraft type

  • Aim Numan, Morrissey I dont feel unique or a connection in history and Einstein type - but aim not skilled on computers

  • Powell type is the worst :D

    I'd rather say "Stalin type".

  • I feel I am a bit of a Steven Spielberg type as I like to watch football on the telly, a bit of an Albert Einstein type as I am very good at Spelling and may have a little of the Enoch Powell at times.

  • Id say my friend is more of a powell because he always gets mad at people but doesnt take drugs though.

Im more of a morrisey or a numan

  • The music is annoying and bothersome!

  • I agree. The presentation of this text could be much better.

  • numan + carrol

  • Einstain+Carrol =p

People sais im made of ice ^^

  • Very nice video, I have the types of Numan, Morrissey, Carrol, and a little bit of Einstein.

  • i was told that my 4yr old has aspergers and i dont know what to do. sometimes i think she does and sometimes i dont! someone please help me!

  • asking on youtube is a horrible idea

  • @wookawoo1 You should take your daughter to an Autism specialist in your area to be tested. It is better to seek a professional for answers, then to sit around and look at youtube videos for answers. You can google specialists in your area. There are many good websites that also answer questions, and can direct you to places that can help. I myself am Autistic. I was diagnosed in 1995 at the age of two.

  • @wookawoo1 Also, I recommend getting her tested again even if she was already tested because, it seems that you are still confused about the accuracy of her diagnoses. So like I said, go to google. If you want I can recommend some websites that answer a lot of questions about Autism.

  • i am 100% einstein and numan i used to be nichols when i was a kid

  • Einstein, Nicholls, Carroll...I think I have a bit of these three types. Thanks for posting this video...I have a tinge of Asperger's syndrome and am very curious to learn more about it. ^_^
