I'm the Einstein type but then I hav a lot of fits I lack social skills I am below average in reading and well below in writing. I'm very good at maths, science and computer science
yeah right and here in greece a well known writer rafailides probably had aspergers.should there be a rafailides type?(loving marxism, cinema, eating smoking alot and great sense of humour)or in italy or germany if there are famous aspies there?
Makes sense, these personality types. I'm mostly the Carroll type (7).
Also, the music is extremely pleasant to my senses. The only part of it that I can see as unpleasant would be the quality... the static. But I think the person who wrote it is a synesthete. There is no other explanation as to why it causes such an experience for me.
i can't believe it took this long for me to see this video. it's great that you have presented different manifestations of ASD without all the stereotyping most others try to say every aspie must be like. i'm actually a cross between several of those types and don't usually fit the stereotypical definition, altho i'm dx'd. well done!
looking into things as deeply as i do ruins my life. it kills imagination and fun, because looking this deep reveals the truth, and the truth is never as good as the basic view. i would trade intelligence away to be regular in a heartbeat.
I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at 12 years old & had nobody that I actually knew at the time being diagnosed with it so I admit that I in fact did feel alone. Being obnoxious is a personal choice, having Aspergers Syndrome is something one is born with. Why should people be ashamed of something they cannot do anything about?
Being aware of such a condition is helpful in many ways, especially finding ways to cope with ones shortcomings. It's easier to patch a known problem than an unknown one.
You have your behavioural pattern caused by your Autism spectrum, I have mine. I'm pedantic, insensitive, slow and rigid as well as narrow-minded. We both have issues with people being dishonest.
It's like being gay, male, short, or born in a nice country. It's not something you choose, it has nothing to do with pride.

@PhilMyBod41: Look up "Autistic Phenotype". And read my comments below.
Also, define "social". The majority of people walking the face of this Earth are not human, and worse, they consume and release toxins that are deliterious to OUR children's developement and causing sensory issues.
@chrisaira: We have been in that sort of relationship since the beginning.
For centuries we have basically been the "stool masons" for these gangsters and their incorigiable slaves who they raise us with in the same neighborhoods and classrooms, our technical contributions going to supporting the very "people" who dispise us from an instinctual gut-level.
I like this video because it refutes the common misconception that Asperger is easy to identify... People often are surprised when I tell them that I have Asperger and tell me that "I am very highly functional" and they barely did notice, if they believe me at all.. the fact is that i have trained for years in order to be able to interact with others without being intimidated, i had to train hard not to be violent, agressive or offensive and to be seen as friendly and funny
Kill the aspies! Drive them to the oceans, and drown their young! Impale them on fallen branches tipped with obsidian! Tie up their hands and feet, set fire to their faces, and let them slowly sink in quicksand! Smash their hands and feet, then lock them in a cage full of hungry, angry pigs! Create a huge beef grinder, then feed them through, slowly, feet-first! Shove thermite up their asses! Grease them up, and shove them down the throats of whales! Skin them alive then kill 'em all with fire!
sorry, but it seems 99 percent of all people could fit one of the "types" listed here. I also think someone with Asperger's would run screaming from the loud, irritating music in this video.
@petele345 that's probably the point- that AS people can have any personality or a combination of different traits, the way a NT people do, but the traits might manifest themselves a little differently, since the Asperger's or autism is also there
Interesting concept. I think it could do without the comorbid diagnoses, and the drug reference, for those shouldn't be too relevant to personality. With those gone, you would have filled a clever void, in personality types.
what is the deal with ev 1 saying they have einstein type? not all of us can be einstein and for gods sake kits a dissability not ABILITY the few crummy things we can do doesent outweigh the misery we go through!!!FUCK YOU HGOD!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Where, exactly, are you getting your information? I've never heard of these aspergers types anywhere exept on this one video, and I've been studying the subject for a while.
I might be a Spielberg and an Einstein type. I am pretty social, talk with other people, have facial expressions and body language to a certain extent. I also like to have fun with people, but I am also an Einstein type. Good at computers, have a high IQ, have good grammar and spelling, mainly in Dutch (native tongue) but also in English, Esperanto and German. These other languages I speak fluently.
my brother is autistic, so I mean no disrespect to this video, but I feel that 95% of people who watch this could diagnose themselves as having aspergers (a certain type)
What an odd idea. See normally you'd be labelled as paranoid or schizo by having such an unusual idea but I think it shows creativity and imagination. Anyway, what are anyones expectations of the future if not imagination?
I have 2 friends who give the impression of being AS, specifically the Einstein and Nicholls types. I think autistics prefer each other's company. I have alot of unusual beliefs about reality (which is one of the reasons I was called 'autistic') but I think some AS people are not of this world. When you look at the AS and then at what is considered 'normal' and 'healthy', you notice how very rigid and unsophisticated society is. We're just ahead of the curve.
@NotQuiteLucid: "I think autistics prefer each other's company". Though there have been a few within our community who say otherwise, I do agree with that.
And being "social" shouldn't have to mean hanging out and talking about the weather or the latest celebrity antics nor shouldn't we be labeled "a-social" just because we rather interract with moderation on REAL issues that actually matter (in-between long periods of study, naturally).
It makes me angry that not everyone in this world in autistic. If the entire human race were autistic, earthly comprehension can't begin to grasp how much more beautiful the world would be. And you're right: I am an NT therefore I will probably never understand what it's like to be in your shoes. But just the mere fact that there are NT's in this world (and that I am an NT) has driven me to contemplating suicide. Why can't everyone have the infinitely beautiful gift of autism? It's not fair.
@motleyprism Well, I wrote that comment a long time ago so I don't remember alot of the state of mind I was in at the time, but at the time I wrote it I probably was being serious because the truth of all the bullying and stuff from NT's was just piling up in me and it just made me so angry.
i'm autistic and i have a numan type, morrissey type, and carroll type. I have 3 of them! how surprising! I'm very shy and quiet. I almost never really talked to people, when i was 2 years old, i was mute and my parents think i'm retarded or something so, they decided to take me to the doctor to see whats wrong with me. The doctor said that i have autism. When i was 2 years old, i started drawing and i think also painting. My parents saw me drawing and they were very surprised and shocked.(cont.)
When i was 5 years old, my mom and i went to an art class with kids that are the same age as me and i used oil pastels to draw my artwork. I drew 3 ballons in the evening sky landscape with grass. Everybody was so amazed by my talent and me and my mom kept the artwork and put it on the wall. The art class was free. (cont.)
I have a special ability that are drawing, painting, and also puzzling. When I was little, I played with the most challenging puzzles that are 150 and over and i put all together in a heartbeat like really quickly with no confusion. In high school, i was very shy and quiet also i was a loner in school but, i didn't get bullied. It was a great school and its small like a private school but, its a charder school. My passion is being an artist (well, i'm artist already!). I'm a daydreamer. (cont.)
I'm a daydreamer and I always dream of fantasies that are kind of bizzare. I have a really big imagination it feels like another world out there but, its all in my head or mind...i'm just a weird girl with big ass imagination going on inside my head. I'm always very calm and very sweet and i rarely get angry or wild. i'm a good girl. People think i'm a weirdo for not giving them eye contact and i hate getting in groups with students in each of my classes because i'm get nervous around people.
I'm in college by the way. My major is Art and i always and will take art classes. People look at me as a nobody and they think i'm useless but, i'm not. I could do almost anything with my hands that are drawing and painting. I'm very unique and i'm quite mysterious. Okay, thats all i have to type for today.
my whole life ive trained with weights and i love boxing.now i know why i wanted revenge for things done 20 odd years ago.i guess being powel is better than being a pushover lol...
I'm a little numan but mostly carroll. My main hobby is digital photography but find it extremely difficult to take photos when there are other people around. I spend most of my time wanting to be alone somewhere.
i'm definately einstein, numan, and carroll, but i have only one or two of the warhol type, because i like to talk to myself when i'm alone, and i get pissed off when people tell me i'm not good enough.
I'm an Aspie and this video was very helpful, even if, of course, these are just general characteristics. Anyway, I'm definitely a Carroll type, but also quite Numan and even Morrissey...
I am mostly an einstein type(but i don't mind talking to unintelligent people) but i'm also creative and i like to dream about being something else other than what i am like an animal or most commonly a jedi knight.
Same here. people like Mick0las. posted a comment here to me and I deleted, because he really doesn't know what it's like to be in our shoes. People like that, we need to ignore and let God deal with them, one on one.
This vid doesn't help because anybody, including those who is neither autistic nor AS, could fall on either one of the types or combo of them. In other words, everybody could find the type(s) similar to her own.
The one thing that does make a big difference is to get themselves tested and diagnosed for it, which I did in 2003, when I was 19. I have lived with it all my life to know that and have done something about it, with something called music and stuck with it ever since and now a College Grad. Being autistic, is so much more than what people will ever know.
It's a good vid with accurate descriptions of AS in general, but I actually display aspects from every one of these except Carroll. I don't think these "personalities" can really be separated in any meaningful way. All it does is take very common traits that many people with AS have and separate them into categories for no apparent reason.
I don't like this video. You may have meant well, but it makes me feel as if we are to be segregated. I wish I was an alien...at least it'd make sense.
Wait, good video.. but everyone falls somewhere on a spectrum... that is what makes it a a spectrum? Its like a rating scale of "autisticness" even a "normal" person would get a point on a spectrum.... The second one seems like NPD.... Most of these seem like other totally different disorders.... I may be wrong but this seems slightly off.
@bineuralboy : You're assuming that there is an absolute zero, a 'non-autistic' level that can only be approached asymptotically by non-autistic people. There's no reason why zero cannot be achieved, though.
I have problems with this. I fall within at least the four middle-ones (Einstein, Powel, Numan and Moressey), I am certainly intellectual, aggressive, feel a special bond to my place in history and I generally think NTs to be irrational, impulsive and generally self-destructive and am rarely suprised when I have to pick a fight with them.
Basically... I do not think there is a specific "type".
What the hell? This video is a load of f***ing bulls*** stereotypes. I'm all those except for the first one, and I have no autism whatsoever. People with autism are extreme tantrum-throwers and have no friends. THAT's the one thing in this video that's essential for the video to have any purpose whatsoever.
Retard. For a high and mighty NT you really need to grow the f*ck up and get over yourself. It's a list specifically for people who ARE aspies to help them feel less isolated, jackass. It's not perfect, but the concept is interesting and the message is a good one. Not all aspies are violent, but that doesn't make their disorder and less valid than someone who destroys things every day. If you can't understand what this video is trying to say then you shouldn't be commenting on it.
Kingcobra you make a good point about the usage of the word "retard" in the previous message I am on the autism spectrum and can unabashedly and honestly tell you that some autistics have trouble thinking on their feet perhaps but on the other hand you can't just write something that could potentially upset and/or hurt someone else
In your perspective it may hurt people's feelings. But in my perspective I'm just expressing my opinion. You see, the biggest influence in life is perspective.
Well you're right about that. However then the puzzle is to figure if one perspective is potentially inferior to another one perhaps no? (never mind my no at the end of this it is just for emphasis if you get my meaning)
@Kingcobrasaurus Well, aren't you smart? You can't even tell the difference between an S.T.D and a mental disorder. Lol!! You don't know anything about anything. Why did you even comment this video?? You fail. All you did was make your self look like a stupid prick. I hope you're happy. Please, go kill your self so we can rid the world of one more stupid person. Thank you.
Im a Jack type its basically where I randomly grow two heads and start dancing around........WHAT?? Not normal enough? I gotta say if this is the sort of mine field neurotypical people are going to have to dodge then we all have aspergers.... Otherwise Im a very grumpy 10 year old thankya thankya very much!
I feel I am a bit of a Steven Spielberg type as I like to watch football on the telly, a bit of an Albert Einstein type as I am very good at Spelling and may have a little of the Enoch Powell at times.
@wookawoo1 You should take your daughter to an Autism specialist in your area to be tested. It is better to seek a professional for answers, then to sit around and look at youtube videos for answers. You can google specialists in your area. There are many good websites that also answer questions, and can direct you to places that can help. I myself am Autistic. I was diagnosed in 1995 at the age of two.
@wookawoo1 Also, I recommend getting her tested again even if she was already tested because, it seems that you are still confused about the accuracy of her diagnoses. So like I said, go to google. If you want I can recommend some websites that answer a lot of questions about Autism.
Einstein, Nicholls, Carroll...I think I have a bit of these three types. Thanks for posting this video...I have a tinge of Asperger's syndrome and am very curious to learn more about it. ^_^
I have mostly all of 4 and up.....

KrazyKelsey62 1 year ago
What an odd idea. See normally you'd be labelled as paranoid or schizo by having such an unusual idea but I think it shows creativity and imagination. Anyway, what are anyones expectations of the future if not imagination?
NotQuiteLucid 1 year ago
Morrisey, Powell and Numan.
NotQuiteLucid 1 year ago 2
@NotQuiteLucid: "I think autistics prefer each other's company". Though there have been a few within our community who say otherwise, I do agree with that.
And being "social" shouldn't have to mean hanging out and talking about the weather or the latest celebrity antics nor shouldn't we be labeled "a-social" just because we rather interract with moderation on REAL issues that actually matter (in-between long periods of study, naturally).

I don't know if it has been asked before, but what is the song in this video called?
dodongo1991 1 year ago
I am nearest to " Numan" and " Carroll" types.
The exception is, that I turn on the taps quite easily, when I am upset, even though I hate it, when this happens.

When I was little, my math and spelling skills were off the charts and I was bullied a lot; recess was hell for me sometimes.

@porkchopenvy Are you being serious? I can't tell...
motleyprism 1 year ago

(cont.)
erinshrine 2 years ago
I'm a daydreamer and I always dream of fantasies that are kind of bizzare. I have a really big imagination it feels like another world out there but, its all in my head or mind...i'm just a weird girl with big ass imagination going on inside my head. I'm always very calm and very sweet and i rarely get angry or wild. i'm a good girl. People think i'm a weirdo for not giving them eye contact and i hate getting in groups with students in each of my classes because i'm get nervous around people.
erinshrine 2 years ago 2
I'm in college by the way. My major is Art and i always and will take art classes. People look at me as a nobody and they think i'm useless but, i'm not. I could do almost anything with my hands that are drawing and painting. I'm very unique and i'm quite mysterious. Okay, thats all i have to type for today.

This vid doesn't help because anybody, including those who is neither autistic nor AS, could fall on either one of the types or combo of them. In other words, everybody could find the type(s) similar to her own.
mark60060 2 years ago
The one thing that does make a big difference is to get themselves tested and diagnosed for it, which I did in 2003, when I was 19. I have lived with it all my life to know that and have done something about it, with something called music and stuck with it ever since and now a College Grad. Being autistic, is so much more than what people will ever know.

I think my sister is a mix of Nicholls and Warhol...does that seem possible?

I know this sounds sort of of off topic, but what is this song called? Please respond.......!
megano2525 2 years ago
It's a good vid with accurate descriptions of AS in general, but I actually display aspects from every one of these except Carroll. I don't think these "personalities" can really be separated in any meaningful way. All it does is take very common traits that many people with AS have and separate them into categories for no apparent reason.
badcattrouble 2 years ago
I don't like this video. You may have meant well, but it makes me feel as if we are to be segregated. I wish I was an alien...at least it'd make sense.
tenchi1018 2 years ago 9
Wait, good video.. but everyone falls somewhere on a spectrum... that is what makes it a a spectrum? Its like a rating scale of "autisticness" even a "normal" person would get a point on a spectrum.... The second one seems like NPD.... Most of these seem like other totally different disorders.... I may be wrong but this seems slightly off.
bineuralboy 2 years ago 9
@bineuralboy : You're assuming that there is an absolute zero, a 'non-autistic' level that can only be approached asymptotically by non-autistic people. There's no reason why zero cannot be achieved, though.
Ejexion 1 year ago
I have problems with this. I fall within at least the four middle-ones (Einstein, Powel, Numan and Moressey), I am certainly intellectual, aggressive, feel a special bond to my place in history and I generally think NTs to be irrational, impulsive and generally self-destructive and am rarely suprised when I have to pick a fight with them.
Basically... I do not think there is a specific "type".
DChatc 2 years ago 3
What the hell? This video is a load of f***ing bulls*** stereotypes. I'm all those except for the first one, and I have no autism whatsoever. People with autism are extreme tantrum-throwers and have no friends. THAT's the one thing in this video that's essential for the video to have any purpose whatsoever.

Kingcobrasaurus 2 years ago
Suicune1000 2 years ago
I find it funny that you use the word "retard" on a video about people who have mental disorders.

Hee hee, angry people are funny. :)
Kingcobrasaurus 2 years ago
Kingcobra you make a good point about the usage of the word "retard" in the previous message I am on the autism spectrum and can unabashedly and honestly tell you that some autistics have trouble thinking on their feet perhaps but on the other hand you can't just write something that could potentially upset and/or hurt someone else
music4now 2 years ago
In your perspective it may hurt people's feelings. But in my perspective I'm just expressing my opinion. You see, the biggest influence in life is perspective.
Kingcobrasaurus 2 years ago
Well you're right about that. However then the puzzle is to figure if one perspective is potentially inferior to another one perhaps no? (never mind my no at the end of this it is just for emphasis if you get my meaning)
music4now 2 years ago
But in a different perspective, those perspectives considerd "inferior" could be superior.
Perspective wins once again.
Kingcobrasaurus 2 years ago
all right then so I take your words as allowing the individual a little of give and take regarding perspective .....if this statement makes sense

@Kingcobrasaurus Well, aren't you smart? You can't even tell the difference between an S.T.D and a mental disorder. Lol!! You don't know anything about anything. Why did you even comment this video?? l3oneeeeeeeee 3 years ago 2
JWADDMollieVideos 1 year ago
@wookawoo1 Also, I recommend getting her tested again even if she was already tested because, it seems that you are still confused about the accuracy of her diagnoses. So like I said, go to google. If you want I can recommend some websites that answer a lot of questions about Autism.
