@l33trikimaru What kind of games you into? To get used to FPS and aiming, CoD or Battlefield I suppose. Thought valve games are a must to play. You can get portal for free, message me if you want instructions. TF2 is free aswell. Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 are really good. For strategy games, you could just go straight for SC2

Thanks so much for the video. I only play the AI since I was so bad- but even on very easy, I'd be minding my own business trying to build the wrong things to support my future goals that It seemed they'd always get to me first wiping me out. I tried your way once and I was able to wipe one of them out within the first 5 minutes. Built 4 battle ships that I never had to use and ended up with 3k minerals :) Thanks alot .

why walk into front of base early? if you wanna be smart you will load 2 medivacs 1 full of maruaders, and 1 full of marines go behind there base drop onto their command center and destroy there economy perfect rush suprise and VERY hard to stop.

If your a basic bronze league 1v1 player, you would always build an engineering bay, then build turrets behind your mineral line, unless you can get your starport up within 4-5 mins and have loaded a full medivac with marauders/marines before 5 minutes, this is so easily stopped..

Set the rally point of the barracks/starport/etc to a specific unit -- select the barracks, then right click on a unit (a marauder, for instance), and the rally point will be wherever that unit is standing.

I'm relatively new myself, but i got the tips by watching replays with commentaries...

what i wanted to say was the following:

perhaps it would also be good to mention that after you build factory, you upgrade it with reactor, at the same time you build starport. then, you lift off factory and attach the newly built starport to it. 2 medivacs at a time :)

@ohaRega It helps, mainly build them just befoer creating your attack force since thats where you need to most minerals. But if you create them during the large gap in building when you start to attack it will let you build up another army quickly should your inital one fail.

Don't spend all your minerals on SCV's though ^ ^

@ohaRega Basically yes, unless you want to go for a more aggressive build or for an example a Zerg player will tend to get to max supply fast so you want to keep a good balance between army supply and workers. Also if your starting to get to much money you want to make more unit producing structures or cut some workers to keep a balance between workers and army supply or to tech up (get more expensive buildings such as starports, factories, robotics bay, stargate, Lair, Spire or to expand. :D

but as you say, when attacking, you need to be training more units back at ur base... but YOU don't hotkey your Command Centre, Barracks, Factory and Starport... imo it would've been a great help to newbs to share this info, HOTKEY your producing structures to train units! never click on them on screen.. (i personally do CC on 4, barracks on 5, factory on 6, starport on 7, but thats personal of course)

@flutsh1 scouting scv on 5 (you just send the scv in his base but with scv on 5 u can switch very fast to it.. later army1 on 5 army2 on 6 .. 7 8 so you reach stimpacks "t" very fast).. cc on 1 .. rax's 2 .. techs 3 .. starports 4 and maybe 9 and 0 for buildscvs

later you hit f.e. 1s2aass3ee4dd 5t6t 0bs and so on..

just a lil tip....

when your factory finishes and you start the starport, put a reactor on the factory at the same time so you can lift off the factory and put the starport down on that reactor. this lets ya make a TON of medivacs a lot faster. good video to explain things.

I find it very useful when moving the whole army to select your medivacs and hit "move to" and select a marine or maurader. That way they follow that unit and don't get ahead of the whole army

you should build a reactor on that factory as soon as its done then by the time the starports done all you have to do is life off the factory put it somewhere else and land the starport on top of the reactor. now you can begin making 2 medivacs/vikings at the same time right away
