It should be noted that this song was written in 1971, but this game is set in the early 1900s. We have already seen in both demos that time gets mixed up, so this makes perfect sense to me. I love it. I can't wait for it to come out!
@KingOAnime Actually the original hymn was written in 1907. The album of the same name came out in '71. There will still likely be influences from the rifts though, and it might even be how the game's respawn system works.
honestly I've played bioshock one and two 50 times I've even played the protector trials and Minerva's den 50 times because i love bioshock so much but idk if i would like a new setting with new characters like im going to miss famous splicer quotes and big daddys with drills not wings.But lastly i will miss looking up at the ceiling and seeing a metal ceiling or seeing a ocean through glass and not clouds and a sky

I'm excited about this game. I think the Bioshock atmosphere that everyone keeps talking about is more about the insanity that has taken over the locale, rather than the visual style. I think that if it's done right, a bright sunny location can provide an even greater contrast between the ideal and the reality thus increasing the emotional impact, and I have faith that this studio can do it. Also, I stare at her breasts too. They're quite impressive.
By mixing this song with these visuals, the trailer manages to make the game look stupid. The marketing people should be fired for coming up with this. Epic fail.

@fearlesskiller7 its the original creators. I think they know how to make it better than you do. And if you watch the gameplay you see that everything creepy and unsettling remains, just without pitchblack atnmosphere and lots of flashing lights.
Game of the year in 2012 by AIAS for sure! Mass Effect 3 and Metal Gear are my bets for a challenge...
2K deserves it, Bioshock 1 was punch in my face, couldn't believe it didn't won and lost it's position to Modern Warfare! Which is also an awesome game, but Bioshock was just in another level of content, innovation, plot and enjoyment!

I'm excited about this game. I think the Bioshock atmosphere that everyone keeps talking about is more about the insanity that has taken over the locale, rather than the visual style. I think that if it's done right, a bright sunny location can provide an even greater contrast between the ideal and the reality thus increasing the emotional impact, and I have faith that this studio can do it. Also, I stare at her breasts too. They're quite impressive.

Game of the year in 2012 by AIAS for sure! Mass Effect 3 and Metal Gear are my bets for a challenge...
2K deserves it, Bioshock 1 was punch in my face, couldn't believe it didn't won and lost it's position to Modern Warfare! Which is also an awesome game, but Bioshock was just in another level of content, innovation, plot and enjoyment!

@Wendschlag You haven't played this game. If you watched the gameplay demos you'd see it easily outclasses on gameplay and is just as strong as the original in atmosphere (which is one of my all time fav games)
It's not from a dif team like bs2 but from the original writers and creators of bs1. It will be great.

For a 1 minute teaser they sure do use a ton of previously seen footage. I don't know why develeopers have to be so secretive they can show tons more without giving away plot.
