Amazing to see yourself at a gig all those years ago.

  • Classic stuff from such a timeless band

  • raw as hell but then they like hell heeehee

  • Fuck I wish I could have seen Motorhead back in those days. I was born in 1980 and feel like I was born about 20 years too late. What a beast of a fuckin band and an amazing show. Oh well I can still blast Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke, and Philthy Animal Taylor in my car everyday and it never gets old. Nobody rocks harder than motorhead. end of story. "only way to feel the noise is when it's good n' loud!"

  • whats the first song?

  • @funkaluca "train kept a rollin"

  • @funkaluca

"Train kept a rollin" is a cover of an Aerosmith's song.

  • @NuklearBaby

    Please.

The song was written in 1951.

  • @NuklearBaby and that is a cover of a song by The Yardbirds.

  • Long live Motorhead.

    Kings of the rock world

  • Long live Motorhead.

    Kings of the rock world

  • THIS IS ROCK'N'ROLL!!

    MOTORHEAD FOREVER!!!

  • Great video. Floyd might have 10 trucks full of vari-lights and lasers but Motörhead's bomber is just fuckin' awesome!

  • i was there......and afterwards even me tinnitus had fuckin tinnitus!

  • This is the real Motorhead! Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clark and Philty Animal Taylor!

  • I saw them on the tour before Overkill and it was the loudest thing I've ever heard. What I don't understand is how Lemmy can even hear at all and he's still doing it!

  • @chrisofnottingham it is actually not so loud on the stage. All the speakers that the guitaramps and shit it plugged to is pointing out to the crowd

  • I saw them on this tour!

    All good clean fun.

  • everybody else just sounds boring after listening to Motorhead.

  • i'm crying ...

  • The way it should be!

  • i never knew he rode up in the lights like that. lemmy is god

  • Best cover EVER!!By anyone!!

  • the wildest trio that have ever walked on this earth!!!!!!!!!

  • GREAT CONCERT!

    Hail Motörhead from Hungary!

  • My first concert, Motorhead, Dio, and Iron Maiden at DTE. Too bad I had an ear infection but they were loud enough to overcome it. I've not seen a show to match that yet.

  • fuck yeah, wish I was there :( but I go and see them as often as I can now :D

  • HOW LOUD ARE THEY?

  • Fucking LOUD we saw them 2 yrs ago and my wife's hearing was permanently damaged and I had ringing in my ears for three days after the gig.

  • biggest band ever.

  • Playing on my birthday this year in Manchester, 21st Nov, cant fuckin wait!!!!EVERYTHING LOUDER THAN EVERYTHING ELSE!!!!

  • great concert menn!! >:D

  • November 24th at Cliffs Pavillion in Southend, Girlschool and the Damned supporting. WIN!

  • Lemmy is the Dogs!

They were my first gig in 1980 Leeds aged 14, went with older brother.

    Saw them a further four times 1980 - 1985

Me and big bro are reliving the past in Leeds at the O2 on Friday 20th Nov 2009

Playing there with the damned and Girlschool as support.

    They still rock!

  • Good old days

  • wow

  • When they asked Lemmy:"Why you sing like this? You seem to stare at the sky".And he answered:"I don't like watching all those bloody dirty faces downthere"(or something like this). He is GOD!

  • todays equivalent ? need i say more.

  • We Shoot to Kill, and you know we always will. Saw them on this tour in Manchester. They are the real deal.

  • I agree, they are the real deal.

Saw them 4 times from 79-81, totally unique!

  • the real motorhead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    we love you

  • i love their version.

    buttttt.....

my favoritre is still the Yardbirds.

  • Aerosmith's version is my favorite I think

  • Cool vid.

  • thanks for putting all these up mate

  • im going to see them there! in november!

  • Very cool , thanks for posting. Caught the Bomber tour in NYC at the Palladium in 80 , fuckin' killer !

  • best version ever was a garage punk version,in mid 60's... by the precious few. raw and primitive,,, how it should be! but of course i love this too..!!!

  • fuck i

  • I don't care what cover he makes and how it sounds, it's still Motorhead and that's all.

  • I totally disagree, I'm myself almost old fart. This performance has energy and speed. I hear here street credibility.

  • I agree with you...Zeppelin killed with this track, but Motorhead gives it their own feel.

Heavy Metal: You either get it, or you don't...and if it's too loud, you're too old.

  • bomber.........should be taught in schools.

best fuckin band, way rn'r meant to be.

  • So well said brother - Lemmy should be in the curriculum everywhere!

    Rock on!

    DR

  • your damn right my friend

  • Do they have to?

Common, We are talking about Lemmy here. If America really wanted to find Osama they'd just give Lemmy a keg of whisky and a small mountain of speed.

  • dont watch then you stupid fuck

  • yeah im with you on that bud, motorhead are fkn awesome live.

  • you know not wot you say, aerosmith are way too poncy for rocknroll..

  • fuck the lights almost hit him in the head!

  • little thing is... Aerosmith is pure American... Motorhead is pure English!

The english rock louder than everyone else, but Aerosmith is is without a doubt in the right position up there between the english rockers!

  • Thank you- Lemmy, Eddie & Animal for giving us Heavy Metal through your outlaw Rockn' Roll! MY WORLD"S JUST BEEN ROCKED!

  • Do they still have a bomber light rig when they tour now?

  • Bomber's the greatest heavy metal track ever written. Perfection

  • Saw 'em when the did the No Sleep LP and a few other timesbefore and after..they killed my ears!!!

  • That rigtht. When your ears don't bleed at a Motorhead concert you know you aren't doing it right.

  • Great memories!!!

  • It doesn't get any better than that! I saw them on this tour, in Edinburgh.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • finland loves lemmy...and vice versa

  • saw them in wolverhamptons hmv store signing the bomber album, eddie clarke asked for a ciggy, i gave him one "got a light" he said, "no" i replied "fucking stupid cunt" he called me. ahhh those were the days, long hair bike jacket and ringing ears after the concert.

  • where can i watch a motorhead video live whit robetson?

  • where i can download or buy this !!! this quality is not good !!!!

  • Fucking great band and tight as a gnats chuff for a trio. The mainstream music press do not give them the credit they deserve.

  • That was fecking great, saw them whenb i was 14 at the Glasgow Apollo on the same tour and this reminds of that night so much.

  • Exactly the same for me except the venue. Couldn't hear a thing at school the next day except for a high pitched squeal in me ears!

  • Awesome.

The train kept a rolliin. man that could have been a Ramones vibe!!! so much in common with the Ramones. Two of the Greatest bands ever. Love Life Love Motorhead.

  • yes!!!

  • M O T Ö R H E A D is the Best!

    Three piece music overkill!!!

  • whats up with the lights at 3:55 to 4:00??

  • Thats the "bomber" model they just let down so that it looks like its flying.

You didnt see that pig plane over Lemmys head moving?

  • best rock band ever no one touches these fellas!!!

  • gggggggggggg

  • adg grüsst motörhead!

  • HAHA Lem sure does know how to entertain ,,,, love when he gets on the bomber plane !!!!!!

  • check out johnny burnette trio version

  • ngery motor head :)

  • Lol Train Kept a Rollin? That was worth a laugh... Bomber was great tho

  • OMG Bomber is sooo incredibly fucking heavy!!! On my top 5 Motorhead songs..in your face!!

  • Oh sure, make me look it up. "Train..." was originally written by a blues, jazz, big band, doo wop, dude named Tiny Bradshaw. 1951.

  • Great clip! Is this available on DVD?

Saw em last night in Leicester and they were on blistering form...... greatest rock''n'roll band in the world. Simple as that :-)

  • Best metal band of the 80s...then Metallica

  • Motorhead kicks ass...been listening to this band since early 80s. keep on rockin Lemmy!!!!!!!!!!!

  • beat band in da world, no matter what the line-up

  • Brilliant!! No other word to describe this.

  • Great gig, absolutely brutal live version of 'Motörhead' (actually one of the best I've seen) and it's so nice to see Lemmy jump and move around like a young LEOPARD! I guess he was on right medication at that time! ;)

Also a TERRIFIC audience! Wish I'd been there!

  • Aerosmith and Foghat did this the same year.

The original artist is....? Lemmy is way better doing Motorhead! Bomber is better. Too me. Right here.

  • Motorhead, UFO, Thin Lizzy, AC DC, Sabbath, Zeps..the golden bands of metal!!!!! All British!!

  • rockyfire, Thin Lizzy are IRISH. Phil Lynott one of the greatest front men ever.

  • this is the most sense i've seen in a comment on youtube in ages.

    Phil Lynott was incredible.

  • Goddamn this is awsome...

  • lemmy on the bomber rig was badass

  • Comment removed

  • lol at when lemmy climbing on the bomber! i read in his book he was shitting himself when he got stuck up there, and when he got down the guy that was controlling the bomber did a runner lol! good job as lemmy would have kiked his ass

  • woah. love the train kept a rollin cover

is it me or did they play bomber at lightening speed?!

  • Motorheads version is more based on Aerosmith's version

  • its from an old blues called stroll on

  • actually stroll on by the yardbirds was a cover of a song called train kept' a rolin which was an original swing song by tiny bradshaw and was also recorded by the Yardbirds and aerosmith

  • that light rig is amazing

  • God

  • finally someone got it rigth. Page did it also, in the eigthies. Yes, i know page was in the yardbirds, but he also did this alone!

  • bomber, my favorite motorhead song ever

  • its all lemmy ?

  • if you think that why are you looking at MOTORHEAD????????

  • There is only One good version ,and that`s the original from the Yardbirds!!

  • Original from the Yardbirds???

You ever heard of the Blackbirds? song is from the early 50's and maybe done by other bands before

  • Well, you are right, that this song is not originally played by the Yardbirds, but Motorhead here do play it exactly like the Yardbirds (without harmonica obviously)

  • Motorhead plays faster

  • This video actually shows Bomber and Motorhead, which are two great songs!

  • anyway i love all the versions of motorhead

  • i thing this version of motorhead is the best

  • anyway i love the versions of motorhead

  • love the way philthy beats the shit out of his drum kit! classic! this needs to be played VERY VERY LOUD!!

  • plzzz !! plzz !! plzzz ! whats that drummer name ! plz plzz and if any1 can tell me if he still being the motorhead drummer !! plzz ! PLZ !

  • WRONG. The drummer in the video is Phil Taylor. Mikkey Dee is the Motorhead's current drummer.

  • ur right i forgot all about phil taylor, lapse of judgement on my part.

  • I loved seeing this for the first time. I went to this gig and remember really enjoying the trip up from Kings Cross to Nottingham. The buzz was great and the energy at their concert was out of this world (as usual). I got a bot of a shock seeing myself in the crowd 28 years younger!!! Cool!

  • This is the only line-up - although Larry Wallis was with the band before fast-eddie and of course Lemmy was with the wind before that and even before that he roadied for a certain J Hendrix esq. I bet he has a fewr r n r yarns to tell - should write a booook or a fil-um

  • There was a book out a few years ago called 'White Line Fever' and a fil-um is due next year.
