The issue here is not who their backers are, but what was said on a program that aired on the FOX New Channel. If their backers are so powerful, why would Beck criticize the hand of the party that feeds him. You can make up any excuse you'd like to hate them, but the fact remains that they are more likely to point out flaws in the Republican Party as opposed to CNN and the NBC networks who would fail to uncover the flaws in the Democratic Party. as the great Reagan said, "trust but verify". fox news is by far the best, most accurate source out there. if you've doubts about the legitimacy of foxs reports, research it yourself. you'll find fox is on point almost every time. they have to be, as the nations most watched news network, with so many "watchdogs" they'd be discredited quickly if they started reporting without the facts to back em up. cnn, msnbc, etc... are the laughing stocks of the industry and their pathetic ratings prove it.

I can read the news BBC, Deutchwelle, AP, Rueters Russia, Israel and even Al Jazeera
