Well I see where you're coming from. I love them Christian or not. But; A renegade is simply a rebel. It doesn't matter what they're rebelling to or from. And Hayley and Jeremy are in fact Christian. I'm not sure about York, but if someone knows please tell me. Hayley says openly in a video created in her time that she is a Christian. On Jeremy and Hayley's personal profile on their official fansite they say that they're indeed Christian. But, religious or not; I'm still a Parawhore!

Her true thoughts could be hidden behind the lyrics, plus the song refers to snakes (satan was in the form of a snake) and the fire (burning bush). But if Josh and Zac were still with them, instead of upbeat energy and headbanging comfort, there would be tension and it wouldnt be as energetic and fun. I liked it best in AWKIF time, when everyone in the band was totally, 100% into what they were doing.
