Careful there!!! Some of your companions can ACTUALLY DIE if you KILL them! So yes, attack them, but only quest-related NPCs will stand for it, and not die. If you continuously attack, say, fendal (elf in riverwood), he will get hostile, then die.
@mgfbossin That's correct, however the idea is (as far as we are concerned, we can heal them). I do believe it's a bug however and characters are not supposed to die, especially companions, because most of them after you use kill command on them don't. Some do and it brings a lot of confusion.
It feels more realistic that they day, however world doesn't react to their deaths anyhow.
Alvor in Riverwood can die fighting a dragon and then there will NEVER be a smith in Riverweood.
I was hoping there would be more hands on approach to this. This video would've have been more affective if you were fighting.

Necromage affects all spells, including ones on yourself (vampire)

they protect you from magic, not damage in general

@lolmanboom Magical protection as such is more valuable than physical protection. Especially when you fight against dragons.
Sorry for misinformation :(

A good question has been asked: Will the spell get better if you cast it with both hands and how much?
It's 2.2x strength of the basic spell + it's much more expensive, so be careful! Don't forget that you need to take the perk in order to do that.
