Although I can not support acts of violence against anyone, I can understand those palestinians desperate enough to support it. I have seen palestinians treated like third class citizens, living in refugee camps decade after decade, or being completely ignored by the world around them. Eventually it fills them with hate and bitterness. It´s very tragic and sad, and all it takes is that people (both palestinians and israelites) can share what they have as equals. The 'wall' (it is actually mostly a fence) does protect against terror attacks. The number of suicide attacks has decreased over the years.

But it is not guarantee against suicide attacks though. The palestinians will just use tunnels instead.

Don't know about this ulterior motive as to be 'hiding' palestinians. I'm sure the settlers can see the palestinians if they want to. The "wall's" main purpose is to protect and divide land though.

There have been many bad things done by BOTH sides in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

My point is just that ONE reason that Palestinians are poorer than Israeli's has to do with the fact that Israelis tend to do a better job of defending individual property rights than do the politicians that lead the Palestinians. I'm not saying that's the only reason, I am identifying it as a major factor.
