Yes, Galway is very big on low notes. I think it helps to blow down into the mouthpiece to get 'em to sound, also to add vibrato to bring out the volume.
practice, practice, practice.....;ö))), Well, me probably neither ´:ö|, BUT we can try our best ;ö)))
No kidding - have a look to his masterclasses on youtube, you can learn a lot by listen to him :ö) and try out some most useful tips and helpful suggestions...
Beautiful , Danny boy or Londonderry air is most closely associated with Irish communities, however it was written by an English man Frederic Weatherly. It is an a unofficial anthem for irish americans and Irish Canadians, and therefor people associate the song as being an Irish ballad.
@zagagee123 Hi, nice to meet you : ) yay flute! ^^ ya same here! I completely agree with u, Sir James Galway is such an amazing musician. I love how his performances define music by more than simply having the perfect techniques, but by something that can free anyone's mind and touch their soul : )
I also play this song but for the first time I dramatically got so emotional. 'Coz James Galway is the best flutist in the world and every note he plays is wonderful.
I love his flute. The low notes are so clear! When I tried that on my old Gemeinhardt (which I no longer have), it did not come out as clear. The Yamaha I rented was a little better, but not much.
@MissLeopard28 I currently play on an Edward Almeida and am loving it. Worth a try if you can rent one. Oh and re James Galway, he's the reason I started playing a long time ago!
un claro ejemplo de como una canción simple puede convertirse en la mas bella melodia, por la interpretación incomparable e inmejorable de James Galway, Gracias maestro!
