  • Hi, I just thought I'd mention that in your explanation on how to control the bow stall you mention pushing down on the same blade that your boat was slicing to; however this is incorrect. In order to correct slicing to the left you will push down with the opposite blade, I.E if the bow sliced to the right then you would push down with your left blade and use you hips/legs to pull the boat to the centre position. You even show this in your demo.

  • @jonjor1234 you gotta be shittin me, that doesnt even make sence. I am going 1 direction so I will press on the other so I get back up. Think about it man, he shows what he said in the demo

  • @Drofeddamite jonjor1234 was correct and made perfect sense. If the bow is slicing to the left then you need to push down on the right in order to pull the bow back under you. If you push down on the left then it will slice to the surface even quicker. That is what the guy on the video did...he just 'said' it wrong. Clearly it was a simple mistake but it should have been corrected before being posted up. Clear demonstration, inaccurate information.

  • @GoneToHelenBach aggree to disagree?

  • @Drofeddamite Just listen to the video carefully and you would notice what I had try to get across. I just thought I should mention it incase people learning got confused.

  • @DoNotTimeTravel 1 its badass

2 if you want to loop in flatwater this is the way to do it.

  • I still can't get my nose under enough to get vertical! I can stern squirt but not bow stall!! Ahh! What am I doing wrong?

  • @PUDDLEPUNK maybe you lean backwards as your going up, i have the same problem, but i found a mini cheat, once you stern squirt throw your bow down to try and get a cartwheel, itll get you up

  • does anyone know the name of the spraydeck he uses?

  • @95jjs its by immersion research

  • yeah, all of these are incorrect, he's got the sweep direction backwards and then demonstrates that he was backwards he he these are entertaining for sure... not trying to be obnoxious but these are so off it's funny...

  • What is the name if the kayak you have?

  • @at400andromada wavesport zg

  • Ha, He's wrong!

  • And what's the point in doing that?

  • @DoNotTimeTravel so you can loop from that position

  • @DoNotTimeTravel It's badass.

  • @DoNotTimeTravel you can do a front flip on a park and play if you learn how to do that

  • And what

  • what he says about left and right is correct (ie. the guy in the vid) so stfu please :)

  • heh got same helmet and nose clips ^^

  • i know this guy and hes awsome so stop saying hes a retard and a dumb shit

  • Yet again expertvillage have surpassed themselves in producing another useless video for kayaking.

PEOPLE DONT BELIEVE A WORD OF WHAT ANY OF THESE IDIOTS SAY!!!!!!

Go to a local club where people actually care about paddling and get proper lessons.

  • yeh you are a short grumpy kayaker

  • yu move too much, hav little control and are a really bad instructor! your unclear and unhelpfull! expert vilage should be ashamed!

  • well why dont you tell us how do do it then

  • He just a lil bit of a prat and he probably could, no ofence but challenging people you dont know would be a bad idea, for all you know he could be chris spelius!

  • I'm pretty sure this guy is doing it on purpose to demonstrate how to recover when you start going to one side or another

  • someone who knows what hes on about, that looks deeper into things and piks up detail, thts you mate and i agree with what your saying he more than likely is!

  • yh you aint setting a good example, you do not have very much boat control, as the boat is moving alot, because your having to put in soo many correction strokes!

  • ignore this shit.learning how to do this stuff is simple, practise.practise a lot.get someone to tell you what youre doing wrong.

its nowhere near as complicated as your making it seem

  • when i bow stall i am able to get a mouth full of water if i want, you guys think this is just because i have a shorter boat, because this guy looks well out of the water.

  • hmm dunno about this dude he contradicts himself from his other video.. if you watch this guys video on changing momentum when vertical he explains it better, but notice the movement of the paddle.. yea.. plus. if my bow slides the the left.. that means I'm falling to the right, so why wouldn't a give a push on the right side to stop from falling and centering my bow again???

  • i was just wondering that and thought there was some weird weight transition in the water that i didnt understand, but hes probably just retarded, although he makes it look so dam easy

  • boring but correct

  • lol no if you push on your left blade it will send you further right..so hes right

  • and wrong. if the bow goes right you need to push on the LEFT blade.

  • Resisting the urge of "Someone is wrong on the internet!"

    But I'm still right :p

  • Are you talking about the stern going to the right or the bow ?

If its the bow going to the right , you actually want to apply pressure to your left blade which will bring you back into a more vertical postion

If its the stern you were talking about then you were correct

  • Retard he said that if the boat starts to move to the right you should push to the right and vice versa ur just a dumb shit

  • your the retard. he is right

  • no u

  • this guys boring
