  • It really was unfortunate the Usova and Zhulin had to do that puppet routine rather than the voidy, dramatic or romantic pieces. Otherwise Usova and Zhulin would have undoubtedly have won. Sadly once Zhulin had the affair with Gritschuk it ruined the romantic vibe between the two. Gritschuk oddly enough won the OGM on and off the ice.

  • I think this team is one of the greatest ice dance teams of all time. However, although this FD had some nice moments, they weren't weaved together very well (a lot of open spaces in the choreography). This FD failed to show off their their abilities to handle difficult steps within fluid yet complex handholds as well as their super-strong free legs. I didn't like any of the FD's that evening so I can understand any order of the podium. But in general, this wasn't their finest hour.

  • This team should have finished 3rd. I never understood the hype around this team because there were teams during this time and now that is beter than them.

  • really one of the worst judging outcomes for Olympic ice dancing. At the very least, this team should have been penalized for 3 infractions of skating apart for more than 5 secs. When you compare this to what happened at Vancouver in 2010, this performance was laughable

  • @4064041 Totally agree... I mean listen to the silence of the crowd too. Their performance here was sub-standard... they improved in later years for sure, but this FD was a poor copy of Torvill and Dean's 1983 Rock n Roll OSP. Really the judges should have been ashamed of themselves.
