  • The stunt referred to is similar to the jump used by tennis players to come over the net to shake hands with their opponents. Both Jock Mahoney and Dick Jones made frequent use of the "Crouper Mount" where the cowboy takes a run up to the horse, putting both hands on the horse's rump and vaulting into the saddle.
