  • who gives a fuck, just enjoy it. live life.....give it up....

  • Brooooooooklyyyynnn in da house!!!

Somebody give the man a shout out!!!

  • Drums are genius! CC still lives!

  • Best version is the one featuring Wilko Johnson.

  • Wilko is still doing great stuff if you get the chance catch the film City Oil Confidential (starring Wilko) and Back in the Day (EP with his good mate Steve Hooker)

  • Mick :)

  • Mick's solo is the first one you can hardly hear - the second is by John Turnbull the Blockheads regular lead guitarist.

  • mick's guitar is totally overdubbed!!!thats not the actual solo! no chance.

  • Ian dury and Gene are the best

  • god bless you. you made my fuckin' evening.

  • Norman Watt-Roy was practically the second Clash bassist too. He played on most of their last album.

Interesting to see Mick play a tele here, since Joe was always the tele man, and Mick generally played les paul guitars.

  • Maybe because he was playing rhythm here. Yeah when Paul was doing a film Norman stepped in and produced possibly the coolest bass riff in punk on the magnificent seven. Do check it out

  • Yeah , but I guess The Clash had pretty much imploded by Cut The Crap.

  • check out my new hit song technocality by gripper and the dj. He sounds a lot like Ian, You'll dig it....

  • Haa Johnny Turnball does the solo but the spotlight stays on Mick .. good post thanks

  • Turn up Mick's guitar you bitch!

  • Genius, underrated

  • too bad it's all cut up at th' beginin'..."There's four chords in this one, Michael!"-Ian Dury to Mick Jones, you bastard!HA!HA!HA!

  • LOL - I remember him saying that when this was on the telly! There seems to have been a degree of remixing going on somewhere since then though, 'cos I remember Mick's solo being really rubbish - the guy who reviewed it in the NME a few days later said the guitar sound reminded him of a guitar he'd once made with a shampoo bottle and some elastic bands! Pretty accurate, I must say... Great Johhny Turnbull solo though, and there's a good version of this around with Wilko Johnson on too. :o)

  • Smart people are always good friends, Because they work toward the same goal.

  • gene vicent is a legend in rock heaven, thanks

  • It ain't Ian Dury & The Clash. It's Ian Dury & the Blockheads supporting the Clash with Mick Jones (The Clash) getting up for a couple of songs. The Blockheads Mickey Gallager played keys for The Clash. But hey you all knew this.

  • Sorry, don`t think I care much for this one.

    LJH

  • Ian Dury and Mick Jones ! Waouh !
