I like the 90s logo best. Because I find the focus on the space painted with the stars, nebulas, and auroras to be more artistic than city lights.

And the music is more poetic than the bombastic newer one that I still like, but does not have as much humility to it.

This was the last time that Universal was recognized as an MCA Company, as the future logo would just say Universal, with the copyright on the lower right corner of the screen (which would be moved to the end credits of the movie). The byline would return in 2009 (A Division of NBC Universal), and this month, will be recognized as "A Comcast Company".

I like the way the light comes off the continents in the current logo, but I think the way the that word "Universal" comes around was much more triumphant in this one.
