  • In my view the first thing to do is to have situational awareness'(being aware of what is happening around you, and how information, events, and your own actions and decisions will affect your chances of survival, both now & in the near future):

Question No.1: What is going on?

Q2. How far will this go?

    Q3: What to do? etc.

The questions that you may NOT waste your time with are:

    Q1: Who is to blame?

Q2: How to make a 'para Internet' connection to the neighbor?

Q3: Who this neighbor could be?

  • hi david. fab info on intertnet comm. thanksa lot. also dont pay attention to some idiots who have no appreciation for life-saving info. pls also advice what is the communication range???? would be a good thing to know. thanksa lot, chris

  • Seems like something I would get a virus on. lol

  • I never would have known or guessed! Interesting & Valuable~

  • omg bro, thats really intresting , about the internet, i could really use that

  • Why are there so many earthquakes in the recent years is it just random or is something happening to the earth

  • make a bug out bag, if they get to you before you can bug out, shoot as many of the fuckers as you can, and your neighbor can get the rest.

  • we want you to know that we control everything and soon we will be locating you and your loved ones, and sending you to a FEMA camp to be processed then incinerated.

    Thank you.

  • Hey, Can I book a room at the FEMA Camp? Do you offer room service. Nice how the camps have the barb wire facing in. I prepare with a nice shotgun to keep me warm. A few cans of spam and I'm good.

  • CB Radio all the way with a solar cell for emergency communication. If you want reliable local emergency communication, you can use FRS radio. Nothing to boot up, just simple, reliable off the grid technology.

  • @BayAreaCBradio

What's the best CB to buy?

  • @vivaloriflamme That all depends on the application. If you want a simple radio/antenna setup for emergency use, I would recommend an "Emergency CB Radio" made (but discontinued) by several manufacturers. They come in a small box with everything you need to set up in your car (magnetic antenna, cig lighter plug, & radio) and can be found for under $20. They have a reliable range of 2-5 miles in normal conditions, and can reach up to 15+ miles with some elevation and optimal conditions.

  • Why would my neighborhood choose to network with laptops instead of CB Radios??????

A 20 watt fm or am transmitter??? Solar powered????

Seriously, My laptop isn't gonna cut it without the internet. It's a power hog.

    Everyone needs a CB radio.
