Best sound track for a game I have ever heard.

Shenmue series has done several things that no other game has even done. I have not found a single game with the Shenmue "Formula". This game has the mix between outstanding gameplay, an outstanding storyline, it connects you more directly with the characters than any other game has done.

Shenmue was way ahead of its time. Shenmue 2 was even better with adding MORE into the lot. Its a shame we will never see the finale of the story.

Mass Effect is much like a game such as Fallout. Shenmue is rather unique due to the fact it is more like a storybook.

These two games are totally different, you just cannot compare them.

I give Shenmue props for creating a virtual world a few years before we saw GTA III.

Shenmue had alot of things that GTA games borrowed from. Playable in game consoles or arcades. Time passing by like it would in real life.  Interacting with people.

These are things only the newer installments of GTA touched upon.

SEGA always was light years ahead of their time.

And Shenmue was the first game to interoperate accurate weather conditions (in fact, the weather in the game is the exact same as it was in the 1980's in that region)

Few people even considered this at the time.

You have to give it to Shenmue for making changes and innovations that affect today's games.

Mass Effect is a okay game, but it's just another one of those cookie cutter mass roaming games like Fallout, only Fallout is much better.

even now when i play a GTA game ill see much of Shenmue in it like playing Darts.

Playing games on a game console in San andreas reminded me of when i first found out Ryo's Saturn could play games like Space Harrier.

I also loved Sega's attention to the weather detail. Another thing GTA Borrowed from.

Though Shenmue was a far more immersive story.

Sega was always ahead of the curve pushing the envelope of what a video game was.

i dont know how this console failed honestly ive had better gaming experiences playing through playstation one and Dreamcast, some on the ps2, the ps3 is more like "get a game, finish it , forget it" but best "emotional gaming times" of my life were through shenmue, skies of arcadia and some other dc games
