  • I have alot of respect for 187. Jumped into Korea. ..OEF, Anaconda, OIF Inv. This is a Killer unit. Possibly our best Infantry BN in the Army. Id put 2/7 Cav. 187, as the top two Infantry BN's in our Army, and NO I wasnt in Either. I respect both though, We had an NCO PCS to our PLT from 187, and the guys Field Knowledge was INSANE. I thought I was a good NCO, but this guy knew his shit. Sgt. Hannah, Hooah. 11B OIF / Drill Sgt/ AASLT.

  • @rak187 how can you criticize someone's spelling when you said "your a grunt". It's "you're" as in you are. And Pogue is phonetically correct, but the original acronym I am led to believe is P.O.G.

    Douche.

  • @mrabs1978 You are Correct. P.O.G. Personell Other then Grunt.

  • when is the 187th NOT in the ghetto

  • Ryan, Spent 5 years at Campbell in 3rd Battalion "RAKKASONS" from 92-97 except i was Bravo "Battle Hard" Good to see you representing the shirt. Had some good and bad times to remember there, though the good ones i try to remember. Became a trader and switched over from there to the Corps and have a few left to retire. Thanks for your time and what matters is you made that time account for something even though it may not seem like it.

    Semper Fidelis and Rakkason.

  • Whats the name of this song?

  • It's not a Ghetto, its a War Zone

  • the ghetto is an area

and the entire country was and is the same as a ghetto

  • A nation that was based on a genocide still continues to bring war and suffer to the world. How does it feel to kill for your industry? You Americans don't even have culture except of one: making money. What a poor nation!

  • have you even been to America? America has its own culture and greed runs world wide

  • You've been watching too much Aljazeer TV. We are the most powerful country in the world because the individual is free to create their own destiny. We are free and the world is envious of the opprotunity our (growing) govt grants us. Is immigration a problem in your country? Probably not. No one wants to be there.

  • whats the name of this song

  • If you listen to the chorus you might get it.....and I believe the correct spelling is POGUE, maybe that's why your a grunt. Lack of brains.

  • Gotta love the REMF

  • Rakkasans are far from rear soldiers. We've done more outside the wire than most do in their entire career

  • hell, if you have been in 187, 327, 502, in the past 9 years you have done more outside the wire than most do in ther entire career, if you were in from 01-03 you were there B 4 there even was a wire LOL, and you gotta love the fobbits that make a big deal about "going outside the wire" lol fuckin pogs 11B ftw

  • actualy the correct spelling is pog...Person Otherthan a Grunt. k thx pog.

  • @rak187 POG....Personnel Other Than Grunt. There is no U in the acronym. If you want to get technical it should be POTG. Grunts know how to fight, call for fire, air, MEDEVAC, work with explosives, most of us learn enough of the native language to communicate, etc. I could go on. We're not limited to one job of pushing a pencil, flipping a burger, or turning a wrench. It's a different world outside the wire. I suggest you try it. OIF 1, 2-2, & 5-7 vet. USMC rifleman.

  • @infantryman0311 - the rakkasans are air assault, only comprised of 11bravo infantry, no such thing as a pog in the rakkasans, these guys were the first conventional unit to hit the ground in Afghanistan in 2002, they are going to be the last out of Afghanistan also, they are actually in khowst province right now, they practically live outside the wire, they are all grunts, thanks for your service but you gotta think about what these guys have done too...

  • @MrPelhambay I know these guys are grunts. I was angered by people thinking grunts have a lack of brains when we're actually some the smartest (maybe not book smart) members of the Marine Corps and Army.

  • @infantryman0311 - ohhh i thought you were calling the rakkasans pogs lol, yeah i know... some people want to talk shit about the infantry, but truth is book smarts wont save anybody under fire, its the knowledge of how to react and keep your fellow soldiers, marines safe, its training, at least im talking to someone who understands thank god, infantry leads the way!

  • @MrPelhambay I recently went to a Federal Police Acadmey at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). The academy was full of College Graduates, BA's / MBA's in Criminal Justice. I was one of 3 people of 48 who was not a college grad, in fact I have NO COLLEGE. Or Prior Police Experience. However I do have a CIB, and an EIB, and a Drill Sergeant Badge. I wasnt worried about PT, but the written exams' upon arrival. Im proud to say that me, 8 years 11B took the Academic Award .

  • @11bravo1789 - dangerous jobs like being an infantryman prepare you for life decisions. most of the time we dont have time, but our decisions are quick and final. being able to lead soldiers into battle and the skills you learn along the way are always more affective then being in a class room all day. im not saying anything against kids that went to college but our leaders aren't in washington, not in yale, not in the public board room. they are in the battlefield. ne desit virtus.

  • @MrPelhambay Im proud to say that I got the Academic Award for the entire class, im not bragging on me personally. Im not smart, But My time as an NCO , going to Boards e/5 e/6 SM / NCO of the month boards, I know how to study. I know how to process information, so yeah I was proud. It was intimidating the first day of class everybodys like "i have a Bachelor's from A&M, I have a MBA from John J. College' ect.. "I was an Infantryman for 8 years"...Anyways lol. Go Infantry.

  • @11bravo1789 - im proud of you congratulations... that must have been tough

  • @MrPelhambay well youre alomst right with this. but its not only 11B in the 187. theres 11C too.

  • @frankysmithy - true, but most of us are 11b, but yeah we got da mortar dudes too

  • @frankysmithy - well maybe not most but when other mos's refer to infantry they usually only mention 11bravo, but yeah we got 11c and even 19d too, but u probably know that

  • @Frodo1423

    Ghetto-Akon

  • i thought it was ptretty fucking cool

  • To the person that made this video, you suck. It was a lame account of what you did while you were stuck in a HQ position. Your probably a POG.

  • That means they're weak minded individuals that joined the Army for the college money, not because they love their country. These individuals are whats wrong with America today. They think they can solve a problem by being reasonable to the enemy. They exercise their right as a contiantous objector. They call themselves Democrats.

  • Whats worse than being in the Ghetto. Maybe being in a real combat situation. Only POGs make films with a bullshit point of view. For those of you that dont know what a POG is. Theyre Personell Other than Grunts, POGs.

  • you're an idiot! you're the POG, Piece Of Garbage! the people who took these pictures did leave the fob and were out there too. i know cuz i was with them. it's a tribute to all the soldiers in 187 no matter what they're job is so u need to shut up.
