you should get a contour video cam they are small cameras but they are good and best of all they they make rail mounts for them so you would not have to use all that tape it cost 200 for the ROAM version but if you have a smart phone then you can get the GPS verzion for 300 which will allow you use your phone as a monitor

hey, Tnoutdoors9. I have an idea, search on google for "angle sight" what it is is a two way mirror, so you can see your sights looking through the angle sight like normal, but also someone else (or your camera) can look at it simultaneously directly from the side. All you would have to do is make a rail mount for your camera perpendicular to the gun and you have awesome videos without sacrifice to your shooting. Just a suggestion.

i did something similar to you but i custom machined a piece of aluminum with a 3/8 bolt in it to hold the camera and used a picatiny rail mount from a BSA red-dot sight to hold it to the rail of my gun. hope that gives you some ideas

@tnoutdoors9 Do you have any leather working skills? If so you can use stacked leather to adjust camera elevation to sit level with the scope and strap it onto the stock with a strap and a D ring belt buckle. Entire cow hide costs $3.50 to 5$ a sqare foot.
