@CTU4105 no No NO! I'm really tired of reading comments like these. They don't just make up this stuff right before they make it. Though it is extremely nerdy, WoW has an bunch of lore behind it. Meaning that everything in this game is based on the story and environment Blizzard created years ago. The story itself is very interesting, in fact it is part of the reason I play WoW over other mmo's. Gilneas Has Existed for a LONG ASS TIME with the worgen, it has been on the map since WoW started.

@CTU4105 That also goes for Deathwing and the Maelstrom, he fits into the story also, and I'm sure that you've wondered about the maelstrom thing in the middle. And the fact that azeroth has been in a path of destruction for quite some time. And @ZeroDuffy The Dragon has existed for long time, they are only now implementing it into the game. I'm sorry that you need something brand new to fight...Blizzard took a long time to come up with this story before Warcraft 3, and I respect them for that.

I'm not really overly upset aobut the race sand ect... I personally enjoyed the WoW novels and what not being a lore junky so I like when they keep to the story but what turned me off WoW and eventually led to me quiting cold turkey was just the fact that they were dumbing the paets of the game down that made it fun too play. I mean it eventually got to the point where it was like they were handing characters freebies to get thtem to 80 so more people would be urged to by cataclysm...i disagree

@Aileath They do explain it by the fact that theres 2 NPC`s in the temple of the moon in darnassus. A highborne ambassador wishes to have a meeting with tyrande. And he is a mage. Basicly, mages are either highborne returning to help and/or night elves being learned by highborne in the arcane arts.

@Aileath Well, Night Elves used to be mages a lot, until they screwed over Azeroth and ended their magic use for several thousand years.

Since it's hopeless, they now figure "why not? Ignoring magic made things already worse". People of Azeroth starting to basically say "to hell with playing fair/nice".

Worgens are transformed Humans, so it will fit For the Alliance much more than the horde, goblins have green skin like orcs, so they do fit for the horde a lot more than to the alliance. It's just a fact of mine, I just think so.

With the addition of the Worgen in Greymane City, and the creation of the islands of Kezan, I'm willing to bet my Grand Marshal's Battle Hammer the war between the Alliance and Horde escalates to newfound levels of violence and unthinking hatred.

While I'm a devoted member of the Alliance, I'm rather eager to see what Tauren Paladins will be like. In fact, I think I'll simply create one as a spy, and to deliberately sabotage the Horde's efforts, from within! (Mischievious chuckle)

And the worgen are -humans- of the nation Gilneas, who got afflicted with the curse. They have retained their will /memories etc, and as humans, they where with the alliance before and hated the orcs etc. What wouldn`t make sense is worgen for the Horde and goblins for the alliance. THATS what wouldn`t make sense, mkay? So stop whining.

Reasoning for the new races on each side

Goblins: Who do you see goblins with more often? the Horde. The fact that goblins are already accepted and working with the Horde makes it easy to add them to the list of races.

Worgen: going back into lore, and what I've read on this expansion, Worgens are humans who have been transformed and they can also turn back into their human state as long as they are not i combat. So if they joined the Horde it would make the Horde hypocrites, plain and simple.

It's like Gems and "other Glyphs" to strenghten your Character i suppose,

but it seems that the "Path" is a Version far more extended AND in six different Ways.

Ways like 'Life' and 'Destruction'. Sounds like there will be a Path of a Titan in Order to deepen your Character even more into Things like Stamina or Damage,

make your Character more unique and more powerful in one or several Ways of what he is capable to do ;)

But, this is Azeroth we're talkin' about: There isn't such a thing as Christianity. Sure, in my stories, my main character makes reference to the creation myth, but that's more along the lines of the Holy Light.

And as good as it sounds to have hundreds if not thousands more faithful followers, (Really, to me that's joyful news) I seriously don't think that they'd allow a race of giant bovines to go to Church.

@Grithoof Well actually, it makes sense. The Tauren Druids that worshipped the moon now worship the sun. That's very simply put. They are called Sunwalkers by the Tauren. The quest with the shield in Dalaran is sort of the starter for explaining it all.

@NicholasGeschke The idea Blizzard are broadcasting is not to think of them as normal paladins per-se, instead they will be followers of the sun. In a similar example, the Blood Elves are not typical Paladins either - instead followers of Blood. The followers of light is really restricted to Humans/Dwarves.

The class name is a general term, Dwarves for example are becomming shamans due to their affiliation with the earthen, not because like conventional shamans they harness the spirits.

Omfg. Im tired of people saying "WoW is too easy!" 90% of the time its idiots who have not even cleared all if not half of the toughest/latest instance. Dont even say Onxyia, she was just something for people who didnt get to play pre - BC.

That being said, WoW was not made "easier". It was made more convienant, better, less time consuming, more appealing. I dont want to spend 13 hours each day just to get some fucking armor through PvP and screwed if I miss a day or 2.
