I already said i was comparing them individually. I agree that billups is better as a teammate so theres no need to start coming to his defense and give iverson shit. If iverson is a loser I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't have gotten nearly as far in his career as he did. So unless if you think that sportswriters are just bandwagoning fags, AI rightfully earned the mvp award and be considered a better player.

Sport writters never said that Iverson is better than Billups... Billups got a Finals MVP and a ring and that is more important than scoring titles or regular season MVPs. Any NBA players or Sportwriters will tell you that. Thats the reality. Individual skills are useless if it doesnt help your team win. Basketball is 5 vs 5. Billups is a better 5 vs 5 player than Iverson.

Iverson even proved it by turning my favorite team in garbage while Billups turned Denver in contenders.

Iverson was clearly not a good fit in Piston and was really mediocre in Denver, but there was once an iverson of philly that did win.

He was better back then but guess what? It was 8 or 9 years ago. Now Billups is the better player and has benn for the past 5 years. If you ask any general manager who they would like to have between Iverson and Billups almost all of them would pick Billups. As i say once again a Finals MVP > season MVP. And im not saying Iverson is bad because he hasnt won a ring. He is bad because he doesnt understand the concept of team play and only cares about scoring and being a superstar.

I totally agree with you. Iverson is the better player i think, billups the better team leader. but the way AI was treated in Detroit was the reason why it didnt work. AI has to lead the team himself and not share responsibilty. he is the star on a team. and getting a ring doesnt matter! you need the team to win it. billups got Big Ben, Sheed, Prince, Hamilton and a damn good bench. the 2004 pistons were simply the best team, doesnt mean billups is better than AI, thanks.

iverson got treated the way hed did cause we werent winning and he was bitter about being benched which should be expected when your 6'1 and 33 even if your ai sorry to disagree but if you want to see who the best player of the two is compare what happened in denver iverson started there couldnt get anything going in the playoffs with years to do it chauncy comes into the same team ai left behind with no exp with that group and should have gotten thru the lakers honestly
