Also, for the record, plants have a circulatory system and nervous system to: by the logic most vegetarians use you'd think they actually believe plants aren't living. If you're going to go against killing stuff that's alive and aware, don't half-ass it.

I'll never understand vegetarians and their logic. We're animals. Animals eat animals. Animals use animals. Sure, we're mechanically capable of producing more than food from them, but I don't see why your morals have evolved to tell you there's anything wrong with it. If animals didn't eat animals, there would be no population control, there would be no 'Natural Selection', and we wouldn't have ever got to where we are on the food chain.
I'll admit that i'm not a vegetarian, and you can judge me on that all you want. But even I felt that there was something truly disturbing about the photo shoot. It's one thing to eat meat, but it's another to parade it around on your body like some sort of sick human advertisement.
Tyra Banks is a complete moron. This wasn't "edgy" or "different". It was perverse, unnecessary, and just plain stupid.
I couldn't believe there was not one girl that said something about it on the show. They were all just like 'oh nasty, but okay', not one was offended or upset and that was just as disturbing as them actually wearing the meat.
Tyra crossed a line with that shoot and I thought it was disgusting.
Whoa, it sounds like you think I'm lower than your animals. I do love animals though I have personally killed chickens & seen cattle get slaughtered...They taste great & I don't say that to offend anyone who thinks otherwise. I've done my homework...purists are very rare. A lot of Vegans slip an animal by-product here and there. Hypocritical. Just like when the same set of people rescues animals knowing that pet has no room in their apartment & will hardly exercise. Anyway, to each their own...
I don't think you can say one person is "better" than another so easily. Some people may have been raised differently or not educated the same way as you. Please don't judge people so quickly.
i couldn't agree with you more. i'm borderline vegan (no meat, fish, milk, eggs, gelatin, leather, or fur... but i will eat ice cream and cheese), and i was utterly disgusted with this episode.
and yeulikespix, it is not that hard to not wear leather shoes and belts. really. don't be dumb.
I know it was so sick......I would of been kicked of that show, because I would of refused to do that shoot. I am an artist and I like to mix things up, but this just wasn't cool.
maybe she doesn't...i don't wear any animal products or use beauty products that have animal ingredients or that were tested on animals. it's not that hard to do...you can even take it a step further and either buy used from thrift stores or buy fair trade, non-sweat shop stuff. do your homework
I really try my hardest not to. I don't believe in slaughtering animals "quick and efficiently" like in those huge slaughterhouses. I am against killing animals cheaply and cruelly for profit. Hunting for sport. Things like that. The only leather I have left is from before I became a vegetarian, and all my makeup is cruelty free and/or vegan.
I don't think I should get over myself because I don't believe in murder.
I'm glad u r trying to get the word out about this. I myself am a vegetarian and i'm trying to go vegan because this is just terrible. It's bad enough promoting eating meat and wearing fur and leather, but to outright try to show raw meat as sexy and for none of those girls to turn it down is just sickening. Of course they're just in it for the contract, but i wouldn't take part in something so terrible. I used to like tyra banks until i heard about this.
