  • What do you do that you wwear a suit

  • @darkknightofrahnik I'm a magazine publisher.

  • What's that silver thing on your hat?

  • @MultiFedoraMan It's just a design that was sewn onto the hat. I bought that one in a costume shop and it is kinda unique.

  • Ok, thanks. How do I private message someone?

  • @MultiFedoraMan I just sent you one :)

  • COOL Hat trick, when will u be posting that video?

  • @MultiFedoraMan Hey There, Thanks very much, glad you liked it and I hope you have fun with it.

  • Hey Hunter, what state do u live in? And where do u buy your hats, I usually get mine at target. also when r u going to post the video for your 70 fedora's on here.

  • @MultiFedoraMan Hi, there are a lot of really great on line hat shops that I go to on a regular basis and also like to walk into Nordstrums, Tommy Bahamas, SteinMart, Macys, Saks 5th Ave and the smaller mall shops sometimes have cool unique stuff too like HotTopic. If you want, private message me and i'll send you a list of some cool on line hat stores

  • I only have one main hat, but its a stetson fur felt fedora so its like, my baby! I'm trying to learn how to do the hat bounce from benny and joon, so this was not too helpful, but i like the vast collection of hats you have, tis impressive.

  • @AlexCookTheatre Thanks very much for the compliment. My collection has now grow to an embarrassing 70 hats LOL. At some point in the future i'll do an updated video of all of them :) Hope you are able to learn the move from the movie =)

  • @HUNTERWORLDNATION Hey Hunter, New Hat collector: I'm up to 2. When will u post the video of your 70 Fedora's?

  • @MultiFedoraMan Hiya :) Thanks for the reminder, i'll make that the next video that I do... welcome to the fun btw, collecting hats is a great hobby that makes you look cool =)

  • I find it cool if you tip your hat by doing the flip in reverse, then doing it normally.

  • Do you think Tartan and Tattersall pattern shirts go good with my brown Trilby?

  • @LocoRico89 I would say it depends on the hat. I would go with a solid brown trilby with no pattern and a dark solid colored band. I would also want one of the thin pin stripes in the shirt pattern to be brown... Just my opinion :)

  • new collector. I'm up to 5!

  • @Cosme422 Hey that's awesome, welcome to the club :)

  • Works with a trucker's hat too!! j/k Thanks for the tip!

  • @rkmugen Awesome... you took it to a "whole new level" :D

  • Can you only do this with cheap hats, or can you use any kind?

  • @Zatoichiswordman It works with most any hat. Another viewer said that he is now "flipping" his truckers hat :)

  • we hat people have this brother hood

  • @leonard247popper I agree :) We are "Brothers of the Brim"

  • Nice touch. It adds a just the right amount of flair without being overly flamboyant. Also nice to see that one can still dress casual and wear a nice hat at the same time.

  • @handsofbanana Thank you very much. I agree with you that the right hat can be found for most any occasion, dressy or casual ones :)

  • Awesome...

  • @theYellowKingBEAVER Thanks :) Glad you liked the video

  • How to be like you? You're really cool!

  • @pentium1636 Thanks very much :)

  • lol i tried to make it but had a little too much strength in the flip plus i missed my head, so the hat actually flew to the other end of my livingroom :S

  • @WpA09 LOL.. okay, maybe try doing the flip in slow motion a few times and look at yourself in a mirror as you do it, to get the feel for it... I'm sure you will be successfully flipping your lid soon :o)

  • @HUNTERWORLDNATION got here by accident.. now u gave me a whole new interest on fedora hats.. >=3 ima start wearing one

  • @Hallucination01 Hi, that's cool :) once you start to wear them, they become addictive lol maybe once you get one you can post a video with you wearing it.

  • @WpA09 LOL.. okay, maybe try doing the flip in slow motion a few times and look at yourself in a mirror as you do it, to get the feel for it... I'm sure you will be successfully flipping your lid soon :o)

  • @HUNTERWORLDNATION yeah i have been practicing this trick since my comment, and now i almost got it mastered. you have some other tricks?

  • Whoa! I tought myself that trick too! Sweet! I ALSO collect hats! Crazy! Also, Im kinda bald too! WIERD!

But you should collect all hats. Like santa hats, safari hats, etc.

You seem like a likeable guy. Im definetly giving a thumbs up.

  • @Burningink Thanks very much for the comment :) Always happy to meet another hat lover. I have kept my collection to Fedoras, Trilbys, Porkpies, Newboy type caps and ball caps. I'm afraid if I go beyond that, people are going to think I own a hat store when they enter my home LOL

  • Hey, do you know what the little slot that's on the left side of many fedoras is called or what it's for?

  • @MagicShadow9 Hi, that's a good question I have not been asked before :)

Traditionally, fedoras have grosgrain ribbon hat bands, (a ribbon or band that runs around the bottom of the crown above the brim, also know as a Puggaree in some other countries). The spot you are speaking of is the place where the two parts of the ribbon are joined together. Often this is where a feather is tucked and a brand button or placard is placed.

  • "Im running out of room for hats!" add another room on your house!! lol gotta have more hats dude!!!!

  • @catman63879 Im thinking of doing a video just showing the whole collection. I display my hats on 3 walls in my bedroom and although I have quite a large room I have run out of space to do this. I have gotten to the point that some of my hats have had to come off the walls, in order to display others that I wear more often. I am at about 60 hats at this point. The "back stock" live in a closet and as a result are worn a lot less often. I love hats but I don't want them to take over the room LOL

  • @HUNTERWORLDNATION i hear ya dude you must be in a real good relationship i get too many hats the old lady is like "you need to throw some of those damn hats away!!" lol but you have the cool hats though

  • @catman63879 LOL :o) That's a good point! I never thought of it that way.

  • since u seem to love hats so much can u tell me the difference between a trilby and a fedora cause im at a loss the only difference i can see is one has a smaller brim than the other

  • @gh3rockzzV2Basically the modern Trilby is the same as the modern Fedora, except for the brim being smaller. Originally, a Trilby would have been made from rabbit hair felt. It's an interesting side note, that we owe both hats creation to literature. The Trilby comes from George du Maurier's 1894 novel, Trilby. There was a London stage play made of the novel, and one character wore a hat like a fedora, but with a narrower brim. Fedoras were also named for a London stage play, "Princess Fedora"

  • @HUNTERWORLDNATION i see , thx for replying , nd so fast too

  • @gh3rockzzV2 My pleasure, glad to be of help anytime :)

  • i am not going to be mean and say this was crap like most youtube viewers on other videos. so i will be honest. cool video. ty i learned it

  • @TheSAEkid Thank you very much for the very nice comment. I'm glad you liked this video and were able to learn the flip :)

  • Hey you seem like an expert of fedora hats. I have a question. Do you know any good place to buy fedora hats? I really want the exact same black fedora hat Neal wears in the show "white Collar".

  • @leo96r1 Thanks, I would not call myself an expert but I do love hats and own quite a few. I believe the hat Neal wears on that show is a "Bailey of Hollywood, Gangster Fedora Hat."

  • @HUNTERWORLDNATION Thanks man your a big help.

  • Looks real fancy lol nice

  • @asianrebeFTW Glad you enjoyed the flip :D

  • wow thanks i did it on the first try...now to work on the precision thanks a lot bro!!!

  • @mrppeetteerr You are very welcome :) So glad to hear you got it right away...enjoy doing the new flip :D

  • dude you rock

  • @cinder434 Thanks very much! :) That was the kind of comment everyone wants to start their day with :D

  • How big should my Fedora be? I just bought my first one last night because I really like the look. However, I was trying to figure out if it should be fitting just right or if it should be slightly bigger.

  • @stoneyj74 I think it depends on your hairstyle and if it changes. I have a shaved head, so my hats either fit just right, or are a tiny bit snug when I first buy them. Over time they will form and stretch a little from wear and so a snug hat will fit exactly over time. But if you have a thick head of hair and your hairstyle changes this can effect the fit a bit. I would just keep in mind that a hat will get a little larger over time from wear. Enjoy your new hat :)

  • cool hat, cool move, i agree with that other guy you're probably cool to have as a friend. the small bit about indoor hat manners cracked me up. keep it up man. thumbs up

  • @Zonker561 Thanks very much for the kind comment. Glad to know you enjoyed the video, and I'm always up for a new friend :D

  • I love the inspirational music playing when he's talking about his hats!

  • @epicninjaftw I think out of more than 10K views, you are the first person to make mention of the music :) Glad you enjoyed it. I had taken a small mac loop, and cut it up, duplicated and reassembled it in several places to make it a much longer bit of music.

  • woot this rocks

  • @oliversmith1981 Thank you, very glad to see you enjoyed this video :)

  • i can do this but ive taken to grabbing the back of my trilby so that after ive flipped it the hole is facing up and i can put it on quite quickly, very cool when you get past the fact that i'm fourteen and wearing a trilby :P

  • @RowanRawrLovesYou That sounds like a slick move :), so do you quickly move your head to turn the hat right side round? I would love to see a video of this. btw... sharp hats know no age boundary, a 14 year old with a trilby is far more interesting than one in a ball cap, like 99% of your generation ;D

  • @HUNTERWORLDNATION ive sent the video to you as a PM :)

  • Thank you very much for the info you really helped me out with this dilemma

  • I need some help on choosing a fedora or these types of hats I am new to this and well I like the way they look specially when you want to dress nice and stand out from the ordinary but I am just starting and I want some help on what types of has are there out there I know there are Fedoras and Trilby but is there more types or which one looks better?

    Thanks

  • @isix287 Hi, thanks for the question.

I'm going to list for you the the most popular men's dress hats, in what I believe is currently the order of most popular. I am not in the hat business, just a hat lover and so this is based on my own observations.

    Fedora

    Pork-Pie (now my personal favorite)

    Trilby

    Stetson (cowboy hat)

    Homburg

    Bowler

google each and see what they look like in order to pick 1

  • thanks its cool! i got my fedora just to day

  • Dang, Me and you have something in common. How do you make a trilby to small bigger. My Grandpa died recently and left me his chocolate fedora.

  • @bigger46 I'm sorry to hear you lost your Grandpa, maybe through that hat, he can always be with you in a sense. The best way to re-size, that I have found is to buy insulation foam striping, run it around the inside and then place the hat on a ball or other round object and stretch it. I use a foam head. The key is do it gently and over time, don't rush it.

  • @HUNTERWORLDNATION Thanks man

  • @bigger46 I would suggest a stretcher such as a Hat Jack. Harbor Freight even sells a very good version for around $6. I wear Bowlers as a rule and not only will it stretch them, but keeps them in shape if you don't wear them for a while.

  • you actually taught me something. ;) thanks.

I love hats to. especially on guys it's sexy.

  • @tania250 and thank you... for such a lovely comment :)

  • Yo Great Video Thx Man.

  • @superdudes101 Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it :D

  • @HUNTERWORLDNATION MJ REALLY KNEW HOW TO DO THAT AS HE WAS IN MOTION DOING HIS MOON WALK, AT THE SAME TIME, THANKS FOR THE FLIP TIP NICE VIDEO INSTRUCTION.

  • u seem like a nice guy

hey btw is the a difference between a bowler hat or a fedora hat??

  • @10Dante4 Thanks very much for the compliment :)

To answer your question... The rim on a bowler turns upward all the way around, It looks like a bowl with a brim. The rim on a fedora is much larger and turned downwards in the front. A Fedora is soft and a bit malleable. A bowler, is hard and pre-shaped. Most of the time a bowler hat is black. Fedoras come in a very wide variety of colors and patterns.

  • That's Micheal Jackson's HAT trick :P hahahaha good job though :P

  • damn. i need to learn the hat trick that Matt Bomer does so beautifully in White Collar...but....man, this is such a cool trick here, and your tutorial was easy to understand and follow.

  • @KAKASHIROCKS226 Thanks very much, glad to hear you enjoyed the video :) have fun flipping your lid :D

  • @KAKASHIROCKS226 That hat trick is actually very easy it's basically just like this trick but the only difference is you hold that hat at your waist in between your index and your middle fingers, swing your wrist backwards a little to get the hat to move then forward into a 360 and pull your arm straight to your head. You should be holding the back of your hat and touching your head at the same time in a sense.

  • very cool! thanks

  • @miavonni Hi, I'm very happy to know you enjoyed the video :)

  • Im buying a trilby to take on holiday to Spain next week (shitty sports caps are horrible). Im totally gonna be doing this constantly when im bored :)

Looking at all the different ones i can buy im thinking i may end up a collector like yourself :)

    Great Video!

  • @Kirklestat92 Very glad to read that you are about to buy your first trilby, this flip works beautifully with a trilby hat and I am sure you will be turning heads, while flipping on vacation :) Have fun!

  • Gonna try that with my fedora... and moonwalk too! :D

  • @Sitikkamies That's cool :D I want to see ya flipping and moonwalking in a video soon :) maybe do an MJ tribute video

  • @HUNTERWORLDNATION Well, I'm not sure will I do a video about it... If it goes well, then maybe. :) We will see it some day. :)

  • @HUNTERWORLDNATION And umm... well... I can't do the moonwalk, to be honest. But I'd like to go a moonwalk course, if I get a chance! It's so amazing! :D

  • @Sitikkamies hey that's a great idea actually, you could learn how to do it and then post a tutorial of your own, teaching people to flip and moonwalk at the same time :)

  • thats cool man, i collect trilby's myself, and the move is very easy to learn, thx

  • @dwoodsky I love Trilbys too, the smaller brim is really sharp and you are right the move is easier on a trilby... hope to see ya flipping your hat soon :)

  • i love hats, especially fedora/trilby

  • That hat you have on is awesome, thats the porkpie i believe right lol? I'm just getting started w/ the fedora hat names.

  • @juswolf22 Thanks very much :) You are correct, that is indeed a "pork-pie" Interesting story with that one. Ya never know where you might find a cool hat. I purchased that one in a costume shop I was in, when I was renting a costume for a party... ya never know where a cool hat may be lurking lol

  • Lol this is fucking great, can't wait till going to the beach :D

But i have actually no idea about this hat as i found it, and it's kinda my lucky hat, i don't know wich brand with style thing w/e

    But..

    Ye :D

  • I went out and bought a trilby hat and did this when I left for lunch. When I came back everybody was like "Oh he think he so cool with his hat flipping it on his head." LOL!! I love it.

  • @DMlloyd01 The thing is... YOU REALLY ARE COOL :)... and they are just now realizing it lol Enjoy your new hat and "keep flipping"

  • thanks so much, now i can enjoy fedoras even more

  • @mrjodeco I'm very happy to know this video has given you even greater enjoyment with your fedoras :) Hope to see you "flippin" your hats soon :D

  • M.J. did the same trick during his concerts nice vid dude

  • Thanks very much for the compliment, glad to read you enjoyed the video :)

  • @THEDXFAN28 Yes he did! I was about to say it but you did. XD He also made this very famous for the not so old generation.

  • I'm really getting into fedoras, I started liking them this year, I have an all black one and a st. patrick's day one from Sears today. My friends always walk up to me, take my hat and do that trick, now I can do it. This has been a really good tutorial for one of the coolest hat tricks. 5/5

  • I'm so glad to know that you enjoyed this video and it helped you :) Yours, has to be my most favorite comment thus far :D Very happy to have taught you how to become a "Fedora Flipper"

  • Hats really are THE best accessory. . .i must start my own collection!!!

Thanks for the great video. I'll be doing this all the time now XD

  • @therealcritic28 Glad to hear you enjoyed this video, I hope to see you "fedora flipping" here on line soon :)

  • somthing cool i fount is with the trilbe is if u holed the frount of the hat and do the flip and then when its on top of your head backwords spin the frount of the hat around

  • That is COOL! I am going to have to try that ... Thanks :)

  • I brought my first fedora hat in walmart for 10 bucks. They're addicting. Now I wanna buy a brown one, and also a white one. I'm going to checkout that hat store in the mall. Nice hat collection. That vid made me laugh!

  • @TheRickRod No kidding? I bought mine at Walmart for 10 bucks as well! Mine's black.

  • @psphacker92 noooooo dont put a hole in it...

  • @dwoodsky I think he was actually meaning to say "hold" not holed as in putting a hole in the hat.

  • A hat trick!! I do not have a hat to try. I love seeing all your hats. Maybe like the fossburyflip is famous with highjumpers maybe the Hunter fedoraflip will be famous with hat wearers.

  • @realnutty01 Heehee Your comments Kim are always the cherry, on the cake of my day =)

That would be a lovely happening, if hat flips became a popular standard.

  • Does this also work with a sombrero? I might give it a try! it's obvious you are well versed in the art of fedora flipping.

  • Tam if you successfully "Flip a Sombrero" please record a video of the event, because I would love to see that :) (in as much, as the peak of the hat must roll over your arm and a Sombrero has such a high peak... that would be a Hell of a trick ...lol )

  • Hunter, thanks so much for posting this how to... I loved this video! I can't wait to try this out tomorrow at school!! I love my fedoras too!!

  • Very glad to hear you enjoyed this video... have fun flipping in front of your friends lol :)

  • Hunter, you clearly have way too much time on your hands....haha

  • lol... i'll bet before long you will be flipping your hats too Chris :)
